Chapter 209: Turning One Year Old (1/2)

After the children had fallen asleep, Ruan Yunxi also felt drowsy.

Gu Weizhou was the last person to take a bath.

After he finished washing, he also hand-washed all the clothes in the house and then hung them in the yard to dry.

The weather is alright now, so we don't need a dehydrator.

Their dehydrator is mainly used in winter. When it's cold, clothes that are still wet will freeze solid immediately when hung out.

The eldest child was probably too happy during the day, and was even laughing in his dreams at night.

He laughed so hard that Ruan Yunxi's drowsiness disappeared.

She patted the little one's back reassuringly, lulling him to sleep.

Seeing that Gu Weizhou was still washing clothes in the yard, she glanced at the moon. When the moonlight is good, people's moods improve.

Seeing that the children wouldn't wake up anytime soon, Ruan Yunxi took out a bottle of red wine from her spatial storage and poured it into a decanter. After Gu Weizhou finished his work, the wine had almost sobered up. Ruan Yunxi took a plate of peanuts and two glasses of red wine to the thatched pavilion and lit a candle.

Then she smiled and called out to Gu Weizhou, beckoning him with her bright eyes: "Come here, have a drink with me. It's been a long time since we've been alone together. Let's watch the moon together."

Gu Weizhou smiled, wiped his hands clean, strode towards her, took the wine glass, and kissed her lips: "You've had a hard time these past few days."

"You've worked hard too!" Ruan Yunxi kissed him, her gaze towards Gu Weizhou deepening.

The two clinked glasses and drank.

As the mellow red wine flowed down his throat, Gu Weizhou looked down at Ruan Yunxi, whose lips still lingered with its aroma. He couldn't help but lower his head again, their breaths mingling, their lips and tongues intertwining.

When the kiss ended, Ruan Yunxi almost couldn't breathe. She leaned against Gu Weizhou's chest, gasping for air, and nearly spilled the red wine in her hand.

Gu Weizhou lowered his head and kissed the top of her head. He looked at the peanuts she was looking at on the kang table and smiled, "I'll make you steak next time."

"Okay!" Ruan Yunxi took a peanut and put it in her mouth, and also fed Gu Weizhou a bite.

Ruan Yunxi never imagined that one day she would be sending peanuts and red wine.

However, if you're in a good mood and have good people to drink with, you can enjoy anything, from peanuts to even cold preserved eggs.

The young couple were in a rare good mood; they drank one glass of red wine and poured themselves another.

After finishing a plate of peanuts, Ruan Yunxi felt slightly tipsy.

Gu Weizhou carried his soft, delicate wife home.

The three adorable children were still fast asleep, so he carefully moved them aside to avoid disturbing their peaceful sleep.

That night, the couple were deeply in love, their affection more beautiful than the moonlight.

If it weren't for the loud cry from his youngest son, Gu Weizhou would have continued staying up all night.

Ruan Yunxi nudged him, and Gu Weizhou resignedly got up to take care of the three adorable children, feeding and drinking them, and also opened the window to let in some fresh air.

After the holiday, Ruan Yunxi continued to take care of the children. Before they started attending daycare, Ruan Yunxi had nothing to do except take care of the children.

Taking advantage of the low tide, Sister-in-law Sheng went to the beach.

Every time they come back, they bring some seafood.

After tidying up, I went to Ruan Yunxi's house to lend a hand. Now the three adorable children can crawl and walk on their own, and can even take a step on tiptoe with someone's help. They don't need to be carried all the time, which makes things much easier.

After they've eaten their fill, they sleep, and after they've slept enough, they clamor to go out and play.

They also like to babble.

Ruan Yunxi had another task: teaching her three children to say "Dad," "Mom," "Grandma," "Aunt," "Sister," and "Brother."

Unfortunately, they are still very young and can only cry.

Or it's just... well, you know.

The child's pronunciation of "mama" is not yet standard, probably because the tongue and throat are not fully developed.

Even so, it did not diminish Ruan Yunxi's enthusiasm for teaching the children to call their parents "Dad" and "Mom".

Gu Weizhou was the same. When he wasn't on a mission, he would leave early and return late every day. He would hold the children and start talking to them, calling them "Dad" or "Mom," or letting them ride on his shoulders, or lifting them up high.

On warm days, Gu Weizhou trains a lot, sometimes for ten days or half a month at a time. When it gets cold at sea, Gu Weizhou trains less and has fewer opportunities to go out to sea.

This summer, Gu Weizhou got tanned again.

It looks fine every day, so I don't really notice it.
