When Gu Weizhou returned, none of his three children recognized him.
Gu Weizhou felt heartbroken.
Looking in the mirror at my dark, shiny face, I regretted not wearing sunscreen.
He turned around and saw three little radish heads staring at him with their big, bright black eyes.
The little expression was intriguing, as if she recognized him but was a little unsure, intending to observe him secretly to see if he was her father!
Ruan Yunxi and her friends worked together with the three little soft candy siblings, going wherever they were told.
Basically, he was referring to Gu Weizhou, who was lounging around at home. His gaze followed Gu Weizhou, who seemed lost in thought.
Ruan Yunxi smiled and said, "They think you should be their father, but they're not sure yet. Let's wait and see."
Gu Weizhou was both amused and exasperated. Ignoring whether Xiao Ruantang was crying or not, he pulled her into his arms, grabbed her little hand, and touched her chin. The prickly chin, the familiar touch, shocked Xiao Ruantang. She stared at Gu Weizhou with wide eyes, and then her big eyeballs fell out.
A pitiful wailing sound broke Gu Weizhou's heart.
The little gummy bear recognized its father and cried out, "Daddy!"
"Sigh!" Gu Weizhou responded loudly, grabbed his little daughter's hand and kissed it, then poked her little hand with his chin, making the little darling cry and laugh at the same time, finally breaking into a smile with snot bubbles coming out of her nose.
Ruan Yunxi: "......."
Gu Weizhou didn't mind his daughter's dirty kitten-like appearance at all. He took out a handkerchief to wipe her tears and snot.
The two younger children watched the father and sons interact with curiosity, their eyes revealing a mixture of excitement and fear.
When Gu Weizhou looked over, the young leader and the others immediately turned their heads away, pretending not to see him and acting as if nothing had happened.
Ruan Yunxi silently watched the three children interact with Gu Weizhou, and had to admit, it was quite fun.
Raising kids isn't all hard work with no benefits.
At least seeing the children happy makes her happy too.
Little Gummy has accepted this dark-skinned dad, but the other kids haven't yet.
When Gu Weizhou tried to hug her, she would cling tightly, like an octopus, hiding in the arms of the nanny or Ruan Yunxi.
With Gu Weizhou back, Sister-in-law Sheng can finally relax and go home to rest. With Gu Weizhou at home, Ruan Yunxi and the others are all much more relaxed.
Originally planning to have a simple meal, Ruan Yunxi and her friends decided to eat king crab for dinner after seeing the king crab that Gu Weizhou brought back. Ruan Yunxi liked the big crab; it was good steamed or salt-baked, but it would taste even better if it was baked with cheese.
Tonight's king crab will be steamed.
They also invited Sister-in-law Sheng and the others to come up and eat together.
Little Cherry was stunned when she saw such a big king crab for the first time: "It's bigger than my head!"
After tasting it, I found that it really tasted good, even better than blue crab. The meat was tender and plentiful, with a large piece of meat on each crab leg. You could eat a big bite of meat from each segment, dipped in your favorite sauce, and one bite was so satisfying.
This was also the first time that Commander Sheng had ever eaten such a large king crab. Seeing the huge crab, he knew where Gu Weizhou and his team had gone for their training this time. They had already gone to the open sea, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to catch such a large crab.
Besides king crab, there was also bluefin tuna. A large plate of it was cut up. Ruan Yunxi loved it and ate several pieces by herself. Sister-in-law Sheng didn't like it much; she still preferred cooked food.
Little Cherry loves to eat, but she's small and has a small appetite. She only ate three pieces before she couldn't eat anymore and went to play with her younger siblings.
We all ate the remaining sashimi together.
Ruan Yunxi was too full to move, so Gu Weizhou and Sister-in-law Sheng cleaned up the dishes together. Sister-in-law Sheng was diligent; she washed the dishes with hot water, rinsed them again, and set them aside to drain for tomorrow.
It was still early, so Sister-in-law Sheng wasn't in a hurry to go back. They sat in the pavilion chatting and watching the children play.
Sister-in-law Sheng thought the pavilion was comfortable and said to Commander Sheng, "Next year, we'll build a pavilion like this in our yard. In the summer, we can sit outside to cool off, and on hot days, we can eat and chat in the pavilion, just like them. We can also invite people over for meals and tea."
