Chapter 227 Granny Goes Beachcombing (2/2)

Since Little Soft Candy and the others wanted to go, Ruan Yunxi took the children, the nanny, and Little Deer who followed along to the beach to go beachcombing.

The tide went out, revealing a lot of seafood.

The nanny was in charge of going to the beach, while Ruan Yunxi was in charge of watching the five children to prevent them from running around.

Some people saw the deer on the beach and wanted to eat it, but Ruan Yunxi scolded them: "This is a domesticated deer, you can't eat it. Don't stare at it, or it will kick you."

"You can raise fawns? How come we didn't know?" Those people looked at the plump, healthy, and shiny fawns, unwilling to give up.

Ruan Yunxi glared at her: "There are many things you don't know. Xiao Lu came from the family compound. You should think twice before you try to take advantage of her."

Upon hearing that it was a nearby residential compound, they exchanged a glance and dared not make a move on Xiao Lu.

We can't get enough domesticated fish, and we can't even get enough wild ones.

Those people left, cursing under their breath.

The little candies protected the little deer and only breathed a sigh of relief after watching the bad guys walk away.

Little Gummy asked, "Mommy, are they trying to steal our little deer?"

Ruan Yunxi nodded.

Little Gummy complained, "They are bad people. When Daddy comes back, I'm going to tell him."

Ruan Yunxi had no objections and continued to keep an eye on the children and the deer.

When the nanny and Sister-in-law Sheng returned laden with their bounty, she had already fed the five children and the fawn to their hearts' content.

Seeing their catch from beachcombing, everyone was very supportive, exclaiming in amazement and praising them for being so amazing, having caught so much seafood.

For dinner, we mostly ate seafood that my nanny had collected, along with a braised pork belly and a hot and sour shredded potato dish.

Gu Weizhou knew that someone was eyeing Xiaolu, so he assured Xiaoruantang and the others that he would never let anyone steal Xiaolu.

Privately, he told Ruan Yunxi that they should avoid taking Xiaolu out if possible, lest those people still harbor wicked intentions.

Ruan Yunxi nodded to indicate that she understood.

After resting for several days, Ruan Yunxi and her friends' lives returned to normal.

Every day is spent either taking care of the kids or eating, drinking, and having fun.

Either go to the beach with them, or the nanny goes beachcombing.

After the children were able to be freed from their care, the nanny developed a love for beachcombing.

Ruan Yunxi usually stays at home to take care of the children, while the nanny and Sister-in-law Sheng go to the beach.

Little Cherry and the others have to go to school. If Sister-in-law Sheng hasn't returned from going to the beach, Ruan Yunxi will take the three children to pick them up from school and buy them popsicles.

With the Dragon Boat Festival approaching, Sister Sheng is going to make zongzi (sticky rice dumplings).

The nannies also make zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), and they even prepared zongzi with luxurious fillings, such as abalone filling, sea cucumber filling, and a little bit of meat filling.

Fresh meat mooncakes from Shanghai are delicious.

The seafood rice dumplings made by the nanny tasted pretty good too.

Both sweet and savory are delicious.

Gu Weizhou wasn't picky; he cleaned up all the food the children couldn't finish.

He ate too much at once and his stomach felt uncomfortable at night. Ruan Yunxi massaged it for him a few times, which helped to calm him down.

Fortunately, the three children didn't sleep with them that night, otherwise the noise the young couple made would have woken them up.

The next day, Gu Weizhou got up early to wash the bed sheets. The nanny also woke up early. Seeing that he had washed the dirty clothes and bed sheets, the nanny smiled, said nothing, and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. They wanted to eat seafood porridge in the morning.

The nanny had to cook it in advance so that when Little Sugar and the others woke up, the porridge would still be hot and burn their little mouths.

Gu Weizhou was a little embarrassed when he pulled the bed sheet, afraid that the nanny would notice.

Seeing that the old woman didn't react, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief and pretended nothing had happened. He swept the yard and cleaned the toilet to prevent it from smelling bad, as the four of them, including the mother and her children, were particular about smells and couldn't stand any odor.

It needs to be washed every day!
