Gu Weizhou took her to a state-run restaurant for a meal. The two of them ate their fill before going back, since they still had an afternoon to pack up.
We ate mostly seafood for lunch. Since we live by the sea, there's a wide variety of seafood available here, and it seems like people here enjoy seafood even more than the locals in Shanghai.
It's either prawns, swimming crabs, shellfish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, or something like that.
Gu Weizhou ordered a sea cucumber soup for Ruan Yunxi: "The sea cucumbers in Lian City taste good. If you like them, I'll catch more for you another day and stew them whenever you want to eat them."
"You can catch him?" Ruan Yunxi asked in surprise.
Gu Weizhou nodded: "We often find sea cucumbers during our missions at sea. I also know a place where we can catch sea cucumbers. When we have a break, I'll take you there to catch them."
Ruan Yunxi was somewhat interested: "Hmm."
Being able to go beachcombing sounds like a good idea.
Ruan Yunxi ate quite a bit at lunch and thought the sea cucumbers here were really good, as were the seafood, which were fresh and delicious. Apart from having to peel them, she actually quite enjoyed eating them.
Fortunately, Gu Weizhou was perceptive and caring, peeling shrimp and crabs for her. She barely had to lift a finger and fed herself until she was full.
After eating and drinking their fill, they drove home to their family compound.
Gu Weizhou had told her it was a bit far, and after driving for more than ten minutes, Ruan Yunxi felt sleepy and couldn't help but yawn.

As soon as Ruan Yunxi got out of the car, she was surrounded by a group of mischievous kids who were throwing sand and leaves at her, creating a scene resembling a rain of flower petals.
Ruan Yunxi was caught off guard when sand got into her eyes.
She hissed in discomfort.
