Chapter 31 Gu Weizhou's Retort (2/2)

Sister Yang's face darkened. Seeing Gu Weizhou striding out, she immediately complained, "Commander Gu, look at your wife who isn't even married yet! She has such a sharp tongue. I was just trying to be nice, and she actually said such things about me."

Gu Weizhou stood next to Ruan Yunxi, his tone displeased: "Did my wife say something wrong?"

Sister-in-law Yang: "......"

Gu Weizhou coldly stated, "I call Commander Yang 'Brother Yang' out of respect. Do you really think you're my sister-in-law and can interfere in my affairs and family matters?"

As soon as these words left her mouth, Sister Yang was slapped in the face. Her face turned red and white in turns. She opened her mouth as if to say something, but Gu Weizhou retorted: "Don't say it's for my own good. Apart from my wife, I don't need anyone to do anything for me. It's better to keep your mouth shut than anything else."

This time, it wasn't just Sister Yang; all the other women present felt like they had been scolded.

Hiding in the crowd, Jiang Mingyue was hearing Gu Weizhou speak so much for the first time in both her lives.

But it was all for a woman with questionable behavior.

She, Ruan Yunxi, had eloped with someone else, yet he still treated her like a treasure.

Jiang Mingyue glanced at Ruan Yunxi, who was looking smug, clenched her fist secretly, and left with the other sisters-in-law.

The sisters-in-law exchanged glances, realizing that Gu Weizhou was trying to protect them, and none of them dared to frown.

The couple were both sharp-tongued. Since the other party was so arrogant and haughty, they would see what kind of face they would have when they needed something from him!

snort!

What's with the arrogance?

Ruan Yunxi watched Gu Weizhou confront that Sister Yang the whole time, and she was still very happy that someone had stepped in.

After all, with Gu Weizhou backing them up, those women would be even angrier.

In their eyes, they were a bad woman who had corrupted their "Commander Gu".

Gu Weizhou's support for them was tantamount to going against them, so how could they not be angry?

They all really think they're something special.

Watching Jiang Mingyue's departing figure, Ruan Yunxi narrowed her eyes: "Sister-in-law, what does that Jiang Mingyue do?"

"Oh, you mean her? She's a doctor at the health center. She only came last year." Sister-in-law Sheng seemed to remember something, hesitated for a moment, and then said to Ruan Yunxi, "Before you came, that Dr. Jiang inquired a lot about Commander Gu. Later, when she found out that Commander Gu had a childhood betrothal, she still wanted to get involved."

Ruan Yunxi knew it would be like this.

Seeing her squint, Sister-in-law Sheng said, "But don't worry, Commander Gu knows his limits and rarely comes to the family compound. He used to live in the base dormitory. Except for going to the clinic, he basically never saw her. It's all her idea. I think Commander Gu only wants to marry you."

Ruan Yunxi's ears burned: "I know, sister-in-law, don't worry, I know he upholds traditional male virtues."

Gu Weizhou, who happened to be walking by, touched his nose when he heard Ruan Yunxi's teasing words: "Sister-in-law, you've worked hard today. There's no time to buy groceries now, so we brought back some steamed buns and mantou. We'll heat them up later, and everyone can have a bite in the yard."

"No need, I'll go back and make dumplings for you. I bought a piece of pork belly this morning, so I'll make you a pork and scallion dumpling!" Sister-in-law Sheng was about to go back to get busy when Ruan Yunxi stopped her.

"It's too much trouble. Let's just have a simple meal here, unless your sister-in-law thinks we haven't been hospitable enough." Ruan Yunxi knew how to keep people here.

When she said that, Sister-in-law Sheng couldn't refuse her hospitality. She took the two children to wash their hands and saw Gu Weizhou go to the cafeteria to heat up the steamed buns, mantou, and chive boxes and bring them back.

Besides these, there were sausages, canned luncheon meat that Ruan Yunxi took out from her space, and eight-treasure rice that she wanted to eat, all in cans, which could be stored for a long time.

Ruan Yunxi wanted to eat some vegetables, so Gu Weizhou bought a plate of stir-fried bean sprouts, a plate of hand-torn cabbage, a plate of cucumber salad, freshly cut sausage, and a plate of canned luncheon meat from the cafeteria. The two children were drooling with envy.

As soon as the food was served, Commander Sheng picked a handful of vegetables he had grown himself, saying they were for dipping in sauce.

Look at them, dipping their food in soybean paste and eating it raw, and they seem to be enjoying it immensely.

Ruan Yunxi: "......"
