Chapter 62 Commander, You've Changed (2/2)

Gu Weizhou, seemingly oblivious to their subtle expressions, continued to boast, "I think leather straps are better than metal watch straps. My wife has good taste; she specially bought this for me as a wedding gift from Shanghai!"

Those present looked at each other in bewilderment.

Captain, you weren't this lecherous before.

How did things change after I married a wife?

Commander, you seem like a stranger to us!

After showing off, Gu Weizhou checked his watch no less than eight hundred times that day.

The soldiers noticed, exchanged glances, and their eyes clearly said: "The commander misses his wife!"

The team leader wants to go home!

Ruan Yunxi was unaware of Gu Weizhou's performance at the base. She woke up at 10:30, and if it weren't for Xiao Yingtao calling her from outside, she probably could have continued sleeping.

When Ruan Yunxi checked the time, she realized she had overslept.

Hearing Little Cherry's call, he drew back the curtains and opened the window: "Wait a minute, I'll get up right away!"

"Auntie!" Little Cherry waved her little hand and jumped around happily.

Ruan Yunxi grinned, immediately got up, and after getting dressed, she wanted to hug Xiao Yingtao, but her back ached and she figured she couldn't carry the little chubby boy, so she could only gently pat his head and ask, "Why did you come alone? Where's Mommy?"

"Brother was naughty, and Mom scolded him. I miss Auntie." Little Cherry is only two and a half years old and speaks a little unclearly, but she can at least express herself clearly.

Children at this age are the most fun. Ruan Yunxi asked her if she was hungry, and Cherry shook her head. She proudly took out the White Rabbit milk candy that Gu Weizhou had given her: "Uncle gave it to me to take good care of Auntie. Auntie, I'll take care of you!"

Ruan Yunxi's lips twitched.

Gu Weizhou really underestimates himself, doesn't he?

Does she need a two-and-a-half-year-old to take care of her?

However, she appreciated Gu Weizhou's kind intentions.

She gave Xiao Yingtao a butterfly pastry and let her sit under the eaves to eat it. After brushing her teeth and washing her face, she looked at the breakfast that Gu Weizhou had reserved for her. It was cold by now, and Ruan Yunxi didn't want to eat it, so she could only take out a bowl of shrimp wontons from her space.

It tastes better than Gu Weizhou's; it's her favorite flavor.

Seeing that Little Cherry was looking at it eagerly, I gave her a small bowl and a small spoon.

The two, one big and one small, sat facing each other, eating shrimp wontons and drinking soup.

They looked at each other and both laughed.

Little Cherry exclaimed, "Delicious! Auntie's cooking is so fragrant!"

Ruan Yunxi dared not take credit: "I didn't do it, it was Granny Hua who did it."

Little Cherry tilted her head, not quite understanding.

Ruan Yunxi smiled and pinched her cute little face: "Fine, if you say I made it, then I made it. What did you eat to grow up like this? How can you be so cute?"

Little Cherry answered every question, saying in her sweet, childish voice, "I eat steamed buns, mantou, dumplings, pancakes, noodles, rice, meat, and White Rabbit candy!"

Ruan Yunxi was almost overwhelmed by the cuteness: "So that's how they grew up eating these things, that's amazing!"

Little Cherry held her belly and laughed happily.

Originally thinking that Little Cherry was lost, Sister-in-law Sheng thought of a place and immediately went to look for Ruan Yunxi. From afar, she heard her daughter's happy voice: "Auntie, come quickly, the flowers here are beautiful!"

When Xiao Yingtao looked up and saw her mother, she felt guilty. She turned around and ran behind Ruan Yunxi, hugging her leg and hiding, afraid of being beaten by her mother.

Looking at Xiao Yingtao, who knew how to find a backer, Ruan Yunxi smiled at Sister-in-law Sheng and said, "Xiao Yingtao is very well-behaved. She came here especially to keep me company, and we had a lot of fun!"

"Did I disturb your rest?" Sister-in-law Sheng said apologetically, since her child always liked to come and play with her.

Ruan Yunxi shook her head.

Sister-in-law Sheng said, "What are you planning to eat for lunch? If you're not going to the cafeteria, come to my house for lunch. I made oyster dumplings. You've never had them before, have you?"

Ruan Yunxi nodded, then, as if remembering something, asked, "Sister-in-law, are you going to go beachcombing again today?"
