Su Li came out of the kitchen. Today she was making stew in an iron pot, and she was cooking it herself.
As soon as Su Li stepped out of the kitchen, she saw Yuan Shuo and Su Jiaojiao in the yard.
Su Jiaojiao walked up to her affectionately and said, "Sister, Uncle and I have come to see you. This is milk powder and malted milk powder that Uncle brought for you."
Su Li didn't take her things and sneered, "What do you want with me? We have nothing to talk about. Take your things away, I don't need them."
Yuan Shuo stepped forward, tears welling in his eyes. He had mistaken his niece for someone else during this time, and now he truly felt sorry for Su Li.
He had said such harsh things to her before; thinking about it made him want to slap himself.
"Xiao Li, your uncle was wrong before. I came here with Jiao Jiao to apologize to you. Jiao Jiao was confused before and impersonated me for you, but she knows she was wrong now. Please don't be angry with us anymore, okay?"
Su Li thought these two were really sick; "I'm angry? Do you even deserve to be? Whose uncle you want to be is none of my business. Now, please get out."
Yuan Shuo didn't expect that even after he apologized, Su Li would still be so unreasonable.
But he knew he had gone too far before, and he could understand if she was angry.
"Xiao Li, I said some harsh things before, but I really didn't know you were my sister's daughter back then. Now that I know, let me make it up to you. Please don't argue with your uncle, okay?"
This guy is truly shameless. What makes him think that after humiliating him so much, he wants to find someone to ruin Su Jiaojiao in order to avenge her?
He can now easily admit his mistake, and she expects him to forgive her; if she doesn't, she's accused of being stubborn and making a scene.
That's ridiculous.
"You slapped me today, called me a vixen, and oh right, you even called me a slut. What? Have you forgotten so quickly? You even went to great lengths to ruin my reputation for her sake, hiring several men twice. What makes you think you can just tell me to forgive you now?"
Yuan Shuo's face turned pale. He had been hoping that she didn't know.
Su Jiaojiao was overjoyed to see Yuan Shuo and Su Li like this.
"Sister, Uncle really knows he was wrong. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have listened to Dad and gone to see Uncle. I'm sorry. Please don't be angry with Uncle. You don't know how much Uncle values you. The reason he was so good to me back then was because he treated me like you."
Su Li looked at Su Jiaojiao with disdain. "Speak! Continue your performance."
Her words left Jiaojiao speechless.
She hesitated for a long time before tears streamed down her face. "Sister, please forgive Uncle! He feels so guilty towards you. If you're really angry, I'll kneel down and kowtow to you. I'll do anything you ask if you can forgive Uncle."
As she spoke, Su Jiaojiao was about to kneel down in front of Su Li, but Su Li quickly turned away, not wanting to shorten her lifespan.
"You just said you'd do anything as long as I forgive you, right?"
Su Jiaojiao glanced at Su Li warily, then looked at Yuan Shuo with a wronged expression, and nodded with a righteous look on her face; "As long as you can forgive Uncle and not make things difficult for me, I will do anything."
"Fine! As long as you go to the outhouse and eat two pounds of shit, I'll forgive you."
Yuan Shuo was a little angry; "Su Li, how can you, a girl, say such rude things?"
"Heh... You're all forcing me to forgive you, so what's wrong with me making her eat some shit?"
"Xiao Li, your uncle is sorry. I was the one who did those things back then. Jiao Jiao didn't know anything about it. It's not her fault."
Su Li clapped her hands, looking at Yuan Shuo with a sarcastic smile; "What a touching drama! Since you like her so much, why not just go with the flow and treat her as your niece? Why bother coming to me?"
"Small......"
Before he could speak, Chen Shujing's voice came from the kitchen: "Su Li, have you finished talking? Dinner's ready."
“Coming right away.”
After replying to Chen Shujing, Su Li said to the two of them, "Did you hear that? I'm about to eat, so hurry up and take your things and leave!"
Su Jiaojiao looked at Yuan Shuo and said, "Uncle, why don't we leave first? My sister won't listen to anything we say now. Let's wait until she calms down before we come back."
Yuan Shuo thought about it and realized that he was wrong before, so it was normal for Su Li not to be able to accept it right away.
He sighed and said, "Let's go!"
As they left Su Li's courtyard, Su Jiaojiao said understandingly, "Uncle, don't worry, Su Li is just having a moment of despair. I'll come and talk to her these next few days, and she'll definitely acknowledge you then."
Yuan Shuo nodded and said nothing more.
He turned around and went back immediately.
Su Li went into the kitchen to help serve the dishes. Chen Shujing looked at her and said, "I heard what you were saying just now. I always said you looked like Yuan Fen, I didn't expect you really are her daughter. But are you still planning to acknowledge Yuan Shuo as your uncle?"
Su Li placed the dishes on the table; "There's no way I could acknowledge them. From the very first time he tried to ruin me, I had absolutely no connection with their family."
Chen Shujing shook her head and sighed. Yuan Shuo really didn't know a gem in the making.
When you stand next to Su Jiaojiao, you clearly look more like Yuan Fen, yet he's blind enough not to recognize you.
“I’m not actually angry that he mistook someone else for someone else, but I’m angry that he used such despicable means to deal with a female comrade. This is moral depravity. If I hadn’t been on guard, and the person he found had succeeded, I would have been dead long ago.”
Upon hearing this, Chen Shujing felt a lingering fear, but thankfully Su Li was quick-witted; "I support you, it's better not to acknowledge such an uncle."
