"Your sister? You wouldn't happen to be the younger sister of those two sisters who were sent to the cowshed in our village, would you?"
Su Li almost immediately thought of the two sisters in the cowshed.
"It's me, but don't worry, once I get out of here, I definitely won't say that you helped me, so as not to cause you any trouble."
Su Li waved her hand; "That's not what I meant. How could you go hungry in the village? Didn't the brigade leader give you food?"
“We made a fortune, but a few days ago my sister got sick, and Niu Tieguang went to the cowshed and stole our little bit of food.”
Su Li frowned after hearing this. Why was he everywhere?
Seeing that the little girl's foot was still bleeding, she tore a piece of cloth from her own clothes and used it to bandage the girl's leg.
"You can lie on my back, I'll carry you back now, you need to get your leg checked out soon."
"But I haven't found anything to eat yet."
"What time is it? You're still thinking about food. Here, I'll bring you some food when we get back."
Hearing this, the little girl burst into tears of joy; "Thank you, Su Zhiqing, you're so kind."
Su Li carried the person down the mountain, taking routes through areas with few people.
Getting involved with the people in the cowshed now won't do her any good.
Su Li took her directly to the village doctor. The doctor examined the girl's injury, shook his head, and frowned, saying, "Her entire shinbone has been pierced. I can't treat this injury. You should go directly to the town hospital!"
"Could you please get us some hemostatic and anti-inflammatory medication?"
After the village doctor prescribed the medicine, Su Li paid for it and took her to the cowshed.
The cowshed was just a dilapidated thatched hut with no bed and the floor covered with straw.
When Su Li went in, there was a woman lying inside who was barely alive.
She placed the person on the straw and let her lie down first.
"I don't even know your name?"
The book doesn't seem to mention her name, after all, she's a character who isn't even a supporting role.
"Su, the educated youth, my name is Tang Yue, and my older sister's name is Tang Xin."
"Tang Yue, you rest for a while. I'll go back and get you some food. I'll be right back."
Tang Yue nodded; "Su Zhiqing, thank you." This was the first time she had felt warmth from a stranger in this village. In the past, it was considered good if people didn't curse at her and her sister when they saw them.
She was truly grateful.
Before leaving, Su Li closed the door tightly before going out.
She went back and filled a container with diluted spiritual spring water. She also took out the red date porridge, a meat bun, and half a bag of rice that she had made earlier from her spatial storage.
Both of them are injured now, and eating coarse grains won't provide much nutrition.
Su Li found a basket, carried her things, and went over, but unexpectedly ran into Xie Feng on the way.
This guy is really persistent. Shouldn't he be working in the fields at this hour? Looks like I need to find an opportunity to have a serious talk with the team leader. This guy is always wandering around instead of working properly.
Su Li pretended not to see it, but it was obvious that Xie Feng didn't give her a chance.
"Su Li, what a coincidence! Where are you planning to go?"
"What the hell?" Su Li said irritably.
With his meager tricks, does he really think others can't see through them?
Hearing this, Xie Feng wasn't angry at all. He smiled and looked like a gentle gentleman. "Su Li, I just heard from those kids that you went up the mountain. I was just about to go look for you. I didn't expect you to come back so soon. I heard from the villagers that there are wild boars and tigers on this mountain. It's too dangerous for a woman like you to go alone. If you want to go next time, call me. I can help you if you encounter any danger."
"You? Forget about it!"
She was certain that, given the male lead's personality, it would be a miracle if he didn't push her out of danger.
"Su Li, I'm not as weak as you think. I can protect you if anything happens."
"Xie Feng, I'm not interested in divorced men. Don't keep trying to get close to me. I'm not falling for your tricks."
Su Li felt she had made herself clear, so she turned and continued walking forward.
This time, Xie Feng didn't follow, and she breathed a sigh of relief.
Seeing that no one was around the cowshed, Su Li slowly walked in.
As soon as she entered, Tang Yue smelled the sweet aroma of red date porridge.
"Su, did you bring food? I can smell it. Can you feed it to my sister first? Thank you."
She was genuinely worried about her sister. Her sister was her only family in the world, and she didn't want anything to happen to her, which is why she swallowed her pride and told Su Li.
"You have a pretty good nose."
Su Li went to Tang Xin's side first and found that she was breathing more in than out.
Su Li first used a spoon to feed Tang Xin some diluted spiritual spring water.
After drinking a small bowl, Su Li felt that her complexion wasn't so bad, so she picked up the red date porridge and fed it to her little by little.
When she had almost finished drinking, Su Li brought the bowl to Tang Yue.
"Have some too!"
Tang Yue looked towards her sister with some concern.
Seeing her like this, Su Li smiled and said, "Your sister should be fine. You should eat something first."
She handed the bowl to Tang Yue.
Seeing that she had finished the rest of the porridge, Su Li took the meat bun out of the basket and handed it to her; "This is for you, eat it quickly!"
Tang Yue swallowed hard, her eyes glued to the meat bun. She couldn't remember the last time she'd eaten one, but even so, she didn't take it, saying, "This is too precious, I can't eat it."
"Eat up! Get well soon so you can take care of your sister."
Tang Yue then accepted it and said gratefully, "Thank you, Su Zhiqing."
