If she could date a man like Gu Huanian, she would be very proud.
Gu Huanian nodded; "I have a boyfriend."
Zhang Ailing was somewhat disappointed after hearing this.
After the group sat down in the living room, Xie Changhe asked Aunt Sun to serve some tea. Then, he said with a smile, "This is tea I just bought a few days ago. Why don't you try it and see how it tastes?"
Gu Huanian took a sip and asked somewhat anxiously, "I saw your son when I was on a mission before. Is he not here now?"
Xie Changhe has seen it all to get to where he is now.
Upon hearing this, he realized that the two of them were probably using the pretense of visiting him to actually come to see Xie Feng.
I wonder if he's gotten into some trouble again, because people are coming to his door now.
"Yes, he usually lives alone and rarely comes back."
"Do you know where he lives now? I need to talk to him about something."
"I don't know what you want to see him about? He's so unpredictable, always running off."
Gu Huanian was about to say something when he was interrupted by his former boss.
"Old Xie! Actually, I came to see you today because I want to ask you for a favor. It's like this, Hua Nian's girlfriend has gone missing, but we found out that she was with your Xie Feng at the time. Could you help us ask around?"
Xie Changhe: He knew that kid hadn't been home for a while and hadn't been heard from at all, so he must have been up to no good. He never expected that the kid would even dare to steal someone's girlfriend.
But he's still his son, so he has to clean up his messes: "I suspect there might be some misunderstanding. Why don't you all have a nice lunch here, and I'll go ask someone what's going on?"
The old leader smiled and said, "Okay."
Gu Huanian's lunch was tasteless and bland. After the meal, the people Xie Changhe had called returned.
"You guys eat first, I'll go get something and be right back."
He got up and left, and Zhang Ailing went upstairs right after he left.
Gu Huanian said he was going to have a smoke, and then quietly approached the study. He had excellent hearing and overheard the conversation between the two people inside.
"So? Where is that brat now?"
"Young Master is currently in the basement on Huxia Road. He did bring two women back with him."
"What? He brought two more? This brat is afraid I'll be able to hold onto my mayorship."
"Go there now and tell him to release the person immediately."
Upon hearing this, Gu Huanian turned around and quietly sat back down at the table.
Not long after Xie Changhe came out, the man also came out of the study. Seeing him leave, Gu Huanian pretended that he had something to do and also took his leave.
Once outside the Xie family's gate, Gu Huanian quickly followed the man.
An hour later, Gu Huanian followed him to a dilapidated courtyard in the suburbs. He watched as the man moved the manhole cover and jumped in.
Gu Huanian waited for a while and then jumped in.
After jumping in, he found a hidden world inside the well. As he walked in, he discovered that a lamp was lit in every corner.
He never expected that the Xie family would have such a place. He hadn't walked far when he heard a faint noise coming from a room.
Gu Huanian gently pushed the door open and saw Xie Feng wrapped in a curtain and tied to a stool, with a sock stuffed in his mouth.
He strode forward and pulled the sock out of Xie Feng's mouth; "Xie Feng, why are you tied up here? Where are my mother and Su Li?"
