Gu Huanian did not resist, letting Su Mu's stick hit him.
Su Mu only threw down the stick when she was tired of hitting him. "Gu Huanian, I'll let you off the hook for now. Since you've chosen to go with someone else, don't mess with her again."
Gu Huanian wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, got up from the ground, and without saying a word, turned and walked towards Su Li's door.
Seeing that he was still going back to find Su Li, Su Mu angrily punched him in the face again, saying, "What's wrong with you? Can't you understand human language? I told you not to go to her. Seeing you will only make her sad."
Gu Huanian blocked the punch with his hand and yelled at Su Mu, "Get lost!"
"Who are you telling to get lost? I told you not to go to her. Do you want her to see you like this and feel sorry for you? Let me tell you, don't dream. She's not like she used to be. No matter how pitiful you are, she won't pay any attention to you."
As Su Mu said these words, her heart ached as if it were being stabbed with needles.
Su Li had always been good to him and indulged him endlessly since childhood. But in the end, he broke her heart and now he refuses to talk to her anymore.
Gu Huanian seemed not to hear Su Mu's words and walked directly towards Su Li's courtyard gate.
Su Mu followed behind him and saw that he walked to the door but did not knock. Instead, he sat down on the ground outside the yard.
He was covered in injuries, and his face was covered in bruises, but he didn't care at all.
He just sat down on the ground, looking completely dejected.
Seeing that he had no intention of disturbing Su Li, Su Mu left. He knew that Su Li did not want to see Gu Huanian, but she did not want to see him even more.
Chen Shengnan and Jiang Jin had only taken a few days off. Initially, they planned to go back immediately after attending the wedding.

Su Li nodded, "No, I'll take you to the station. Hurry up! If you don't leave now, you'll miss your train."
He pulled Chen Shengnan's hand tightly and said to Su Li, "You can just see us to the door."
As soon as Su Li opened the courtyard gate, she saw Gu Huanian slumped in front of it.
The moment he looked up, Chen Shengnan couldn't help but laugh: "Oh, he got his comeuppance so quickly. Who hit him? Well done!"
Su Li didn't even glance at Gu Huanian. She handed a package to Chen Shengnan and said, "There are some fruits and snacks I prepared for you in here. You can eat them on the way. There's also a dress I made for you when I had nothing else to do. I've been too busy these past few days and forgot to bring it for you to try on, but I feel that it should fit you perfectly."
Chen Shengnan took the package, took Su Li's hand and said, "I'm leaving with Brother Jiang Jin. Take care of yourself, and we'll see you at the New Year."
Chen Shengnan and Jiang Jin left, and Su Li was about to close the courtyard gate when Gu Huanian blocked her way.
"Ah Li, I'm sorry, I really..."
Before he could finish speaking, Ye Wanyu, who had rushed over, interrupted him: "Huan Nian, quick, let's get to the hospital right away, Lu Yang has woken up."
Seeing that Gu Huanian had let go of her hand, Su Li slammed the door shut.
Gu Huanian stared blankly at the closed courtyard gate, his sadness almost overflowing.

"I said, Uncle Lu and Aunt Lu asked me to call you over, saying that Lu Yang has woken up. And Hua Nian, what happened to all these injuries? Who hit you? How could they be so cruel?"
Gu Huanian didn't respond to her words, but instead knocked on Su Li's courtyard gate and said, "Li, something has come up at my unit. I need to take care of it first, and I'll come find you as soon as I'm done."
No one responded to him, and Gu Huanian followed Ye Wanyu with some disappointment.
Upon arriving at the hospital, the two went directly to Lu Yang's ward.
Lu Yang's face and body were wrapped in bandages, with basically only his eyes showing.
Gu Huanian greeted Lu's parents before sitting down in front of Lu Yang's hospital bed.
Looking at the injuries on Gu Huanian's face, Mr. Lu asked with concern, "Huanian, what happened to your face? Did someone hit you? Should we get a doctor to take a look?"
"Uncle Lu, I'm fine. I just accidentally fell and hurt myself."
As she spoke, Gu Huanian looked at Lu Yang on the hospital bed and tentatively asked, "Lu Yang, how are you feeling right now?"
"I'm still okay." Lu Yang's voice was hoarse.
When Lu's mother heard his voice, she felt heartbroken and burst into tears.
Gu Huanian turned to the group and said, "I'd like to speak with Lu Yang alone for a couple of minutes. Is that alright?"
Lu's parents nodded, and Ye Wanyu tactfully followed them out, closing the ward door behind her.
Seeing that they had all left, Gu Huanian looked at Lu Yang on the hospital bed again.
"Lu Yang, were you ambushed when you went back to get your things?"
Lu Yang nodded.
"Do you know who it is?"
Lu Yang shook his head. When he went back to get his things, he had just gotten them in his hands and was thinking about catching up with them as soon as possible.
On the way down the mountain, as he passed a steep cliff, he didn't know who was behind him, but someone pushed him in the back.
He was pushed and fell straight down. Lu Yang thought he would be smashed to pieces, but he didn't expect that he would not die.
When he woke up again, he was in a cave in the mountains; someone must have put him there.
But he didn't know exactly who it was.
"I was pushed off the mountain, but I don't know who it was. Someone put me in a cave."
Lu Yang finished speaking haltingly, panting heavily.
Seeing him like this, Gu Huanian said, "Don't worry, everything will be found out. You should rest well in the hospital first."
He left the hospital intending to find Su Li, but now she is unwilling to forgive him.
He worried that if he dragged things out, Su Li would be even less willing to talk to him.
She had just stepped out of the courtyard when Ye Wanyu caught up with her.
"Huan Nian, wait for me."
Gu Huanian looked at him with disgust and said, "What do you want now?"
Hearing his impatient voice, Ye Wanyu said somewhat aggrievedly, "Gu Huanian, I didn't provoke you, why are you being so fierce? I stopped you because I wanted to tell you that you shouldn't go to Su Li's place these next few days. Sometimes women need to calm down too. Going to see her repeatedly like this will only backfire."
