Gou Sheng's heart ached at the sight of her. How could she dare to be a nanny like this? If his sister found out, she would be heartbroken.
He felt incredibly distressed just looking at it. How could Zhang Cui do such a thing to such a young child? It was utterly despicable.
Gou Sheng tiptoed toward the nanny, attempting to snatch the child from her.
Zhang Cui saw through Gou Sheng's intention. She lifted the child above her head and gave Gou Sheng a sinister smile, just like a demon from hell.
"I didn't expect you to find out so quickly. It seems that Su Li, that bitch, still doesn't trust me to leave the child alone at home. She's really wary. In that case, I won't torture this child slowly anymore. I'll give him a quick death today."
Seeing her actions, Gou Sheng quickly stopped her, saying, "No, don't be impulsive. He's just a child and doesn't understand anything. Don't do anything foolish."
Gou Sheng was so anxious that sweat broke out on his forehead.
He dared not think about how he would face his sister if something happened to the child.
My sister loves the baby so much; she would be heartbroken if something happened to him.
Gou Sheng thought to himself, "No matter what, the baby can't get hurt."
"You want him to live?"
Zhang Cui originally wanted to throw the crybaby to the ground, but when she saw how nervous Gou Sheng looked behind her, she suddenly felt that it would be too easy for Gu Huanian. She wanted to tease them slowly and make them nervous so that they could understand how much pain they had been in.
Gou Sheng nodded frantically after hearing her words. He didn't want his sister to be sad; this child was his sister's life.
He coaxed softly, "Just give me back my child, and I'll give you whatever money you want."
"Hahaha... Money? You underestimate me. I've never cared about such things. I only wanted my son to live, but he killed him. Now I'll make him taste the pain of losing a child."
As she spoke, she tossed the child into the air, scaring Gou Sheng half to death. He hurriedly tried to catch the child.
Zhang Cui reached out and caught the child faster. Gou Sheng was now closer, and being taller, he thought he could reach out and snatch the child away.
Zhang Cui quickly dodged and lifted the child up again; "Try coming any closer? Believe me or not, I'll just smash him to death right now. Then your dear sister will definitely blame you for not being able to save this little thing."
Gou Sheng felt his heart pounding. He tried his best to control his emotions and comforted Zhang Cuidao, saying, "Don't be impulsive. The child is innocent. If you have any complaints, you can take them out on me. I'll let you hit or scold me, okay?"
Aunt Zhang scoffed, "What does this have to do with you? I've never wanted revenge on you. Go and call Su Li and Gu Huanian here now. I want them to see their own child die."
Gousheng didn't understand. Wasn't Zhang Cui the nanny his sister hired? Why did she seem to hate his sister and Brother Gu so much?
But if he leaves now, what if this woman does something to the baby or takes the child away?
He didn't dare to leave. Seeing that he was still there, Zhang Cui lost her patience and pinched the child's chubby thigh.
The child's cries echoed throughout the courtyard. Hearing the child's cries, Gou Sheng felt an urge to beat the vicious woman to death.
"Don't touch him, I'll go call my sister and Brother Gu right now," he said to Zhang Cui as he walked towards the door.
Zhang Cui looked at him with a smile on her lips, a smile that sent chills down Gou Sheng's spine.
"I'm giving you half an hour. If these two don't show up within half an hour, you can collect this brat's corpse!"
Upon hearing this, Gou Sheng hurriedly opened the yard gate; "Don't hurt the baby, I'll go get help right now."
Gousheng remembered that there was a house not far from his sister's house. He knocked on the door and asked, "Is anyone home?"
The inner door was quickly opened; "What is it?"
"Could you please go to the asphalt textile factory and call back the woman named Su Li?"
The man said somewhat reluctantly, "I'm not going. If you want to go, go by yourself."
As the man was about to close the door, Gousheng quickly stopped him, saying, "Please, my sister's nanny is going to kill her child. She said she couldn't see my sister for half an hour, so she threw the child."
The man frowned upon hearing this; "I'm coming over now."
Gou Sheng knocked on another door, explained the situation, and asked him to call Gu Huanian from the military region.
He dared not leave, worried that if he left, Zhang Cui might really take the child away.
Once we leave this courtyard, we really won't be able to find her.
If someone as dangerous as her runs away with the baby, where will they be able to find her?
Aunt Zhang saw that Gou Sheng had been gone for a few minutes and then came back. She was a little annoyed and smacked the child's bottom twice.
When Gou Sheng heard the child's voice was hoarse from crying, he said anxiously, "Don't hit the child. I've already sent someone to find your sister and Brother Gu."
Aunt Zhang's eyes were filled with hatred. She had originally planned to take advantage of Su Li's absence today to teach her precious darling a lesson.
I never expected this kid to find out. He's clever enough to send someone to ruin my plans once again.
How could she possibly feel at ease with this?
"I'll make you cry, I'll make your father a scoundrel."
As she spoke, Zhang Cui slapped the child's bottom several more times.
Gou Sheng really wanted to go up and strangle this old woman to death.
"He's just a child, his voice is already hoarse, please don't hit him anymore."
Zhang Cui laughed heartily at Gou Sheng; "Oh, feeling sorry for him? He's not your child, why are you getting so worked up? Blame his father, he did something wrong, and now it's his karma coming back to haunt him."
