Chapter 375 Selling Clothes with Chen Shengnan

Without caring about the unpleasant looks on their family members' faces, the elderly couple turned and left.

Meanwhile, Chen Shengnan and Su Li had explored almost the entire city of Huashi in the past few days.

Seeing that Chen Shengnan was in a much better mood, Su Li thought about the children at home and the factory.

I left some of the photos I had taken over the past few days with Chen Shengnan, and then I prepared to go back.

With Su Li by her side, she felt that time flew by.

Gradually, she realized that she didn't have much time left to work hard.

Jiang Jin frequently came to the school to look for Chen Shengnan during this period, but almost every time he came to find her empty-handed.

He didn't know where Chen Shengnan went, or why she wasn't in the dormitory.

The security guard still had a deep impression of Chen Shengnan because of the little girl's crying last time.

Therefore, when he inquired further, he only told him that Chen Sheng had not returned during this period.

As for where she went? He didn't know either, since she hadn't officially started school yet, and it was her freedom to go wherever she wanted.

Whenever Chen Shengnan and Su Li visited a place, they would stay at a guesthouse or hotel there.

This is why even if Jiang Jin waited at school for a whole day and night, he still couldn't see her.

His anxiety grew stronger, and he felt that if he couldn't find her this time, they would drift further and further apart.

The two of them had a blast for a few days, experiencing all the delicious food and fun activities they could find.

Chen Shengnan appeared much more relaxed. Su Li actually felt alright; this era was lacking in many things, unlike the modern era with its abundance of variety.

After having a meal outside, the two went directly to a nearby guesthouse.

Su Li has been covering most of their expenses these days.

She felt somewhat ashamed, but every time she tried to pay, Su Li stopped her.

That night, as the two lay in bed, Chen Shengnan said to Su Li, "Li, I still have more than half a month before school starts. Should I take advantage of this time to set up a stall? We've seen a lot of stalls outside these days, and their business seems pretty good."

Su Li nodded, thought for a moment, and realized that she had been taking her out to play these past few days, keeping her busy and preventing her from constantly thinking about Jiang Jin. If she went back, leaving her all alone here, she would probably secretly shed tears again, even though she seemed to have let go of the past.

But Su Li knew that letting go of someone wasn't easy, but if she kept herself busy, she wouldn't have time to think about anything else, so she said, "Sure! What do you want to sell?"

"I'm thinking of selling candied hawthorn berries, what do you think?"

Su Li: "........."

It wasn't that she wanted to discourage Chen Shengnan; back in Lijiatun, she had already realized that Chen Shengnan was indeed lacking in cooking skills. Her requirement was simple: as long as the food was cooked, that was fine.

Can you do it?

“I can learn.”

"I don't think this is suitable for you. How about this? Our factory has a new batch of women's clothing. I brought some over and put them in a storage place near the train station. They were originally for the supplier, but they suddenly didn't want them anymore. I'll take the clothes over, and you can sell them. You can pay me back when they're sold. If they don't sell, that's okay too. You can just return the clothes to me. What do you think?"

She felt she was going all out for her friend, and she could just spout lies without thinking.

Su Li had actually observed this area for the past few days. It was a second-tier city, and the cost of living was quite reasonable.

Chen Shengnan really wants to sell the clothes from their factory; she could earn much more than selling candied hawthorns.

"Really? Is it really possible?" Chen Shengnan felt that she was too bad at talking and didn't know if she could sell the clothes. She lacked confidence in herself.

Su Li smiled and said, "You don't trust the clothes from our factory?"

Chen Shengnan shook her head: "Of course I believe you, but I'm worried I won't do a good job."

"It's okay, let's give it a try first. Go and see where to set up a stall tomorrow? I'll have someone deliver it to the childcare center."

Chen Shengnan nodded and quickly fell asleep that night. In her dream, she was begging people to buy her clothes. She almost knelt down to sell a single piece of clothing.

Chen Shengnan was so frightened that she woke up from her dream.

Su Li watched as she suddenly sat up, her forehead covered in sweat, and asked in confusion, "What's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?"

"fine."

The two chatted quite late yesterday, and it was almost nine o'clock this morning when they woke up.

Su Li said to Chen Shengnan, "Shengnan, go and see where it's suitable to set up a stall to sell clothes, where there's a lot of foot traffic. I'll go to the clothing delivery company and have someone deliver the clothes."

"Do you want me to come with you?" Chen Shengnan asked, somewhat worried.

"No need, we'll split into two groups, and we can start selling the clothes after lunch this afternoon."

Chen Shengnan nodded, and the two left the guesthouse, heading in different directions.

Su Li rented a tricycle, found a secluded spot, and took out a batch of clothes from her spatial storage.

These clothes were leftovers from the factory. She had originally planned to look around and see if anyone was willing to open a chain store here.

Last time in Beijing, she wanted to buy two stores but couldn't. However, the factory was producing more and more clothes, and she was still hoping to fulfill some orders. Otherwise, the workers' wages would be a huge expense.

When she pulled the clothes to the entrance of the guesthouse, Chen Shengnan had not yet returned. She stood under the shade of a tree and waited for about ten minutes before she came back.

Jian Su Li pulled a tricycle full of hampers and hurried over.

"So many? Can we sell them all?"

"There's still some in the custody room; these are just the amounts I plan to sell today."
