Chu Yiyun looked at the woman in front of him, her cheeks slightly flushed, her lips, still moist from drinking soda, looking luscious.
The full shape of her lips was so alluring that it made one's imagination run wild; Chu Yiyun swallowed hard.
"Didn't you make me drink it?" The man looked at her innocently.
Chen Shengnan; "..."
She was used to casually asking Su Li when they were together, but she didn't expect this shameless person to actually drink it. Now she's pretending to be innocent, which is really infuriating.
The car wasn't driving very fast, it was even a bit slow, and in the end, Chen Shengnan didn't touch the bottle of soda again.
When they arrived at the train station's drop-off point, the two of them got off the train together.
Chu Yiyun said to Chen Shengnan, "You stand outside, I'll carry your clothes."
"You're too slow by yourself, let's go together."
As Chen Shengnan was about to make a move, she was pushed out by Chu Yiyun as soon as she went in, saying, "You stand outside. Your injuries from today haven't healed yet. I'll handle it."
Chen Shengnan felt that she wasn't the kind of delicate girl who was that fragile.
“I’m not as delicate as you think. Back home, my dad and I did all the farm work. These things aren’t difficult for me.”
Chu Yiyun grabbed her arm to stop her from moving; she was just too strong-willed.
He felt genuinely sorry for her, as she always insisted on doing everything for him.
“I know you’re very capable, but you can stay here and watch the car for me for now. I’m worried someone might steal the diesel fuel from it.”
Chen Shengnan asked suspiciously, "Does anyone steal the oil from the car?"
Chu Yiyun nodded; "That's right! There are so many thieves, you'd better keep an eye on things for me."
Chen Shengnan believed it to be true, and this time she didn't rush in. Instead, she carefully watched the car, keeping an eye out for anyone who might try to steal the oil.
About twenty minutes later, Ahei came over with a cart.
He looked at Chen Shengnan, who was standing beside the car, and smiled, "Where did you rent this car? I'll return it for you."
Chen Shengnan walked over to Ahei and said with a smile, "I'll return it! You stay here and watch the car, make sure no one steals the diesel."
Ahei looked completely bewildered. He asked incredulously, "What?"
Chen Shengnan thought he hadn't heard her clearly, so she repeated herself: "Comrade Chu just told me to keep an eye on your diesel fuel, otherwise someone might steal it. Be careful yourself, I'm going to return the car."
Ahei glanced at Chu Yiyun, who was carrying clothes over here. He didn't want his future wife to do any work, so he came up with such a lame excuse.
The key point is that my sister-in-law actually believed it.
This kind of thing rarely happens in big cities; it's more likely to happen on long journeys, when going to the toilet or going to eat.
Ahei willingly joined the ranks of those moving clothes, and soon all the clothes were loaded onto the truck.
Fortunately, Chen Shengnan had already packed all her clothes in the back of the car.
On the way back, Chu Yiyun had Ahei sit in the car.
Chu Yiyun was still driving, and Chen Shengnan was in the passenger seat.
This time, she didn't wait for him to speak and fastened her seatbelt herself.
It was getting dark on the way back, and Chu Yiyun was driving a bit fast.
Chen Shengnan recalled how Chu Yiyun had an accident even while riding a bicycle last time, but he seemed quite steady when he first started driving.
She was a little worried as to why he was driving faster and faster: "Comrade Chu, could you slow down a bit?"
"Who is Comrade Chu? I don't know him," Chu Yiyun said without batting an eye.
Chen Shengnan felt that Chu Yiyun's appearance was very deceptive; such a grown man acted very childishly.
She watched the car speeding up and said helplessly, "Yiyun, slow down."
Chu Yiyun felt incredibly happy when Chen Shengnan called his name. It was the first time he had ever felt that his name sounded so beautiful.
"Okay, whatever you say."
He slowed down considerably.
Before dark, the group arrived at Chen Shengnan's rented house, and Chu Yiyun used the same excuse to fob her off.
"You stay here and watch the gasoline so it doesn't get stolen. We two men will do the work."
Chen Shengnan nodded. Ahei almost burst out laughing as he looked at the two of them. He nudged Chu Yiyun and said, "Brother Chu, you're pretty good at fooling people!"
Chu Yiyun glared at him and said, "Speak less and do more work."
The two worked quickly and put all the clothes away in no time.
Chen Shengnan saw that it was completely dark outside. She had been thinking of treating the two to a meal, but now she figured all the restaurants were closed, and she had to go back to school.
"Thank you for your help today. I'll treat you to dinner another day."
Just as Ahei was about to say no, he heard Chu Yiyun say, "Okay, I'll wait for this meal."
Chen Shengnan nodded; "Okay, it's getting late, I'm going back to school, you guys should go back first too!"
Chu Yiyun said to Ahei, "You drive back first, I'll take her back to school."
Upon hearing this, Chen Shengnan said to Chu Yiyun, "No need, it's not far from the school, I'll be there in a bit."
"Shengnan, this road isn't very safe. I'll take you to school; otherwise, I won't feel at ease."
Chen Shengnan saw that he insisted that it wasn't far away, so she didn't pay any attention.
Let him be!
The two strolled through the night, and Chu Yiyun silently walked to Chen Shengnan's side.
She said softly, "Sheng Nan, do you really hate me?"
Chen Shengnan was surprised by his strange question: "No! Why would you think that?"
Aside from being a bit pretentious, Chu Yiyun is actually a very kind-hearted person and a good person.
She didn't find it annoying at all; in fact, she sometimes found it quite cute.
Chu Yiyun looked at Chen Shengnan with a resentful gaze: "Every time you see me, you tell me to leave. So I was wondering, do you really hate me?"
