Su Li rolled her eyes at him and ignored him.
She went out today without much luggage, just one big package.
She had Gousheng move all the other things in the house to his house.
This also prevents anyone from wondering why she only brought so little.
While waiting for the bus, three men suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
They attacked Su Li directly.
Su Li quickly dodged, but her luggage was swiftly taken away by a man.
Two other men attacked her, but Su Li was not afraid at all and grabbed one of their arms.
After spinning around a few times, a "crack" was heard, and the man screamed in agony.
"Ah!~ Ah!"
Su Li kicked him in the lower back again, sending him flying.
Xie Feng stood to the side, arms crossed, watching quietly, a slight smile playing on his lips at first.
Gradually, I stopped laughing.
Su Li glanced at Xie Feng's unpleasant expression and understood.
This person must have been someone he found; seeing that the three men couldn't beat her and were about to escape.
Before she could figure out how to let the group succeed, Xie Feng walked towards her.
He stepped forward and grabbed her arm, asking, "Su Li, are you alright?"
Su Li was happy to play along; "I'm fine, let go of me, my package is still in their hands."
After saying that, the three people grabbed their things and quickly slipped away.
Su Li glared at Xie Feng; "I have something very important in there. Why did you stop me just now? Don't you know you've ruined my plans?"
As Su Li spoke, she chased after the place where the group had disappeared, but there was no one there.
When Xie Feng caught up, he saw that Su Li's tears were falling from her eyes. He was overjoyed. Could it be that her jade pendant was inside?
With such excitement in his heart, Xie Feng kept his mouth shut and didn't let it turn up.
The car arrived, and Xie Feng noticed that Su Li didn't intend to get on; it was clear she really wanted to find that bundle.
Xie Feng pulled her directly into the car; "Those things are gone, so be it. If you really need anything, I'll buy it for you when we get to Beijing."
Su Li looked at him with red eyes; "Why did you pull me up here? Do you know how important that thing is to me? You have no idea."
As Su Li was about to get off the bus, Xie Feng quickly grabbed her, saying, "If you miss this bus, you'll probably have to take the afternoon one. It's just some clothes and food, right? We can buy them when we get to Beijing."
He felt a little relieved when he watched the car door slowly close and Su Li looked at him with hatred.
It seems that the jade pendant really is in that bundle. If it were just some other things, she wouldn't be in such a hurry.
Su Li remained slumped over her seat the entire way, without uttering a word.
Xie Feng thought she was crying. Although he felt a little heartache and annoyance, he was mostly happy to receive the treasure.
The car drove for two hours to reach the county, and Su Li got out of the car with red eyes.
Seeing how upset she was, Xie Feng went over to comfort her, saying, "What time is your train? Mine is at 1 p.m. I remember there's a state-run restaurant up ahead. Let's go grab a bite and come over. We'll make it in time."
Su Li sneered inwardly. This person was really good at pretending. He deliberately bought a ticket for the same train as her, and now he was acting all high and mighty by asking her questions.
"None of your business! Who told you to grab me? You've ruined my life, you know that?"
"I was just worried you'd get hurt because you were fighting three people."
"From now on, mind your own business," Su Li said coldly.
As she spoke, she walked ahead without paying him any attention.
People need food to survive, so she arrived at the state-run restaurant first.
I ordered a bowl of dumplings and some steamed buns to eat on the way.
After the dumplings were served, she ate them with gusto.
In Xie Feng's eyes, she was eating her meal while looking very angry.
Xie Feng also ordered a bowl of dumplings, but by the time he had eaten half of it, Su Li had already finished her entire bowl.
Then she walked outside, ignoring Xie Feng's calls.
He quickly finished his meal, left the state-run restaurant, and waited in a nearby courtyard.
Soon the three knocked on the courtyard gate, and Xie Feng let them in.
The three of them respectfully said to Xie Feng, "This is her package. The three of us rushed here immediately without opening it. Please take a look."
Xie Feng waved to the three of them, and they walked out.
He then opened the package, which contained twenty yuan, some food coupons, food, clothes, and the like.
He felt a hard lump while rummaging through the clothes, and was overjoyed. He immediately turned the clothes over and took them out.
Sure enough, the jade pendant was in the pocket of the clothes.
The jade pendant gleamed, and with just one glance, Xie Feng was certain it was real.
His maternal grandfather was quite knowledgeable in this field, so he knew a little about jade. This jade pendant had a warm and delicate luster; although it wasn't top-grade, it wasn't bad either.
He put the things in his pocket before heading towards the train station.
Su Li and Xie Feng were not in the same carriage, so Su Li did not see Xie Feng coming over to annoy her again along the way, and her mood improved a lot.
After several days on the train, Su Li finally saw Xie Feng dragging a wooden suitcase off the train when they arrived at their next stop.
Xie Feng greeted her, but she ignored him.
As soon as she stepped out of the crowd, Su Li saw Gu Huanian. He was dressed in a military uniform, standing straight, his handsome face framed by eyes fixed on her. In the few months since she'd last seen him, she felt he had become even more handsome.
Gu Huanian strode towards her, and Su Li also walked towards him.
