The man's clean scent and the intimate touch of their lips made Su Li collapse into his arms.
The kiss lasted a long time before Gu Huanian finally let go, leaving Su Li breathless.
Her lips were incredibly red, and he almost kissed her again.
It took Gu Huanian a long time to calm down.
He released Su Li and looked at her intently; "Li, I'll file for marriage when I get back this time."

Gu Huanian quickly prepared two dishes and a soup: scrambled eggs with tomatoes, stir-fried radish with meat, and a big bone soup.
He brought the dishes to the dining table in the main room, and Su Li served two bowls of mixed grain rice.
After the two sat down, Gu Huanian said with a smile, "I'm just learning now, so I'm not very good at it. Please make do with this. I'll get better and better in the future."
To be honest, the food she made was only so-so, but Su Li knew that men were easily swayed by praise, so she said, "This tomato and egg stir-fry is delicious."
"Really?" Gu Huanian was pleasantly surprised.
Su Li nodded; "Really?"
"If you like it, I'll make it for you again next time."
Su Li nodded.
Gu Huanian also washed the dishes after the meal.
Su Li added another point to his score in her mind; he was truly a good family man.
After dinner, the two lingered for a while longer before Gu Huanian reluctantly said, "It's getting late, I can't stay here any longer, lest I ruin your reputation."
"Where will you sleep tonight? It's freezing outside, and it's not convenient to go back to town."
"I've already arranged with the captain to stay at his place tonight, and I'll come over tomorrow morning."
He plans to stay another day tomorrow and go back the day after tomorrow.
"Okay, go quickly!"
After Gu Huanian left, Su Li went into her spatial dimension, thinking of knitting a scarf to give to him.
The next morning, the village loudspeaker blared.
Everyone is to attend a meeting at the brigade headquarters.

When Su Li arrived, she immediately spotted Gu Huanian standing next to the captain. As she looked over, the man walked towards her.
Su Li smiled, her eyes crinkling, and said, "Here, these are meat buns I brought for you. They're still warm, eat them while they're hot."
When Xie Feng arrived, he happened to see the woman handing him steamed buns with a smile on her face, and he felt a pang of jealousy for some reason; "Wow, she's really going all out!"
When Gu Huanian saw who it was, he pulled Su Li behind him.
He stared at the man in front of him with hostility. Although the man looked like a gentleman, his sinister eyes betrayed him.
“My partner brings me food, why am I being so eager? Don’t be a sour grapes.”
Su Jiaojiao, who was behind Xie Feng, stepped forward and tugged at him, whispering, "There are so many people here, don't embarrass me."
Xie Feng shook off her hand; "What I do is none of your business."
Su Jiaojiao's face turned pale. In her previous life, Xie Feng had been considerate of her reputation in public.
They're really showing her no respect at all, saying things like that in public.
What a despicable man! He's useless himself but still has designs on Su Li. Both of you are scumbags.
Meanwhile, the surrounding villagers began to whisper among themselves. Someone said in a low voice, "Looking at Su and Xie, the two of them don't seem to be doing very well after getting married."
