Li Fang glanced at the sky; Deng Fangyuan would be back for dinner soon.
She didn't want him to come back and see Su Jiaojiao, that shameless woman, hanging around there.
"Su Jiaojiao, stop pretending in front of me. We've seen right through you. Get out of here!"
As he spoke, he began to push Su Jiaojiao out.
Just then, Deng Fangyuan returned from school; "Xiao Fang, what are you doing?"
When Li Fang saw him return, she quickly smiled and said, "You go in and eat first. This person is crazy. I'll come back as soon as I kick her out."
When Su Jiaojiao saw Deng Fangyuan, her eyes lit up. This man looked refined and seemed easier to talk to than Li Fang.
She smiled at the man and said, "You must be Xiaofang's boyfriend! I'm her cousin. I just arrived in Beijing and haven't found a place to stay yet. I was hoping to ask Xiaofang if I could stay here for the night so I could look for a place tomorrow, but I didn't expect her to kick me out as soon as I arrived."
Deng Fangyuan looked Su Jiaojiao up and down. She was prettier than Li Fang and had a better figure. Her long, wavy hair gave her a wild look.
Her eyes seemed to have a captivating quality, which inexplicably softened his heart.
"Xiaofang, since they're relatives, why don't you let them go? What are you doing?"
Li Fang stomped her foot angrily; "What kind of relative is she to me? I have absolutely no relation to her."
Deng Fangyuan wouldn't listen to what she was saying, and just said to Su Jiaojiao, "Come in quickly! Xiaofang just made stir-fried cured pork with cabbage today. If you don't mind, come in and have some with us."
Su Jiaojiao gave Deng Fangyuan a seductive smile; "No problem, no problem at all. I'm so grateful that you're willing to take me in."
She then sat down at the dining table with him.
Deng Fangyuan went to the kitchen and brought the food over. Then he stepped forward, took Li Fang's hand, and said, "Alright, we're all relatives. If my classmates at school find out about this, it will be so embarrassing! It's not right to kick out relatives who have come to visit."
Li Fang said aggrievedly, "But...but she doesn't..."
Before she could explain, Deng Fangyuan pulled her down to sit; "Alright, we're guests, so be more magnanimous and don't be so petty."
Su Jiaojiao looked at Deng Fangyuan gratefully; "Comrade, you just mentioned school. Do you study here?"
Upon hearing this, Deng Fangyuan proudly replied, "Yes! I am a student at Peking University."
Upon hearing this, Su Jiaojiao immediately praised, "I didn't expect you to be so good-looking, and also a student at Peking University. Your future is limitless. Xiaofang is so lucky to have found such a good partner like you."
Deng Fangyuan smiled and said, "No, no, nobody can predict what will happen in the future."
Seeing that Li Fang's expression wasn't good, he didn't say anything more.
Li Fang glared fiercely at Su Jiaojiao, determined to get rid of Fang Yuan once he returned to school.
She doesn't want to be with her.
After finishing her meal, Su Jiaojiao looked at Li Fang with feigned concern and asked, "I remember you were still in school, weren't you? How come you're in Beijing now?"
Li Fang looked at Su Jiaojiao, thinking that this person really knew how to bring up the most sensitive topics.
She didn't get into high school, but her mother could have spent money to pull strings and get her in.
She didn't agree, simply because she received a letter from Deng Fangyuan, who said he hoped she could come to Beijing.
He was really not used to being alone here. He couldn't even get a hot meal every night. Moreover, they had just gotten engaged, and he missed her terribly, wanting to see her all the time.
So after the New Year, when the country opened up, she came to Beijing despite her parents' objections.
When Yuan Shuo and Li Qin found out, Li Fang had already brazenly taken the train to Beijing alone.
The couple were worried, and Li Qin couldn't ask for leave, so Yuan Shuo bought a train ticket to Beijing the next day and came to catch up with her.
At first, Li Fang stayed at the guesthouse; this house was rented by Yuan Shuo.
Seeing that she was unwilling to leave, he, as her father, could only tell her not to do anything out of line before the wedding.
Now that the country has opened up, if she gets bored here, she can try to find a job.
If you really can't find it, it's okay. Just tell your family if you run out of money.
Everything in this house was added by Yuan Shuo before he left.
Yuan Shuo also told her that if she was unhappy in Beijing, she could go home anytime.
Pulled back to reality, Li Fang yelled at Su Jiaojiao, "What's it to you?"
Deng Fangyuan was displeased when he saw her using foul language. He said, "How dare you talk to your cousin like that? She's a guest, no matter what."
Li Fang retorted, "What kind of guest is she? Don't you know she's impersonating me..."
Deng Fangyuan didn't want to listen to her anymore. He didn't know how she had so much to say every day, and he was already fed up with it.
"Okay, I got it. But he's just having a bit of trouble right now. Everyone has their difficulties sometimes. Be a little more understanding and lend a hand. It's getting dark, I'm going to school now."
Although Li Fang came to Beijing, she still kept her parents' words in mind that she should not do anything out of line before getting married. Therefore, she always went back to school after Deng Fangyuan finished dinner.
Before leaving, Deng Fangyuan said to Su Jiaojiao, "You stay here for the next few days and take your time looking for a place. There's no rush. We'll move in whenever we find one."
Su Jiaojiao smiled sweetly at Deng Fangyuan. She could tell that although he looked like a scholar, he was actually a repressed and lecherous man.
"Then thank you for taking me in." Su Jiaojiao said this while staring at Deng Fangyuan with admiration in her eyes. Having been around so many men, she knew that men couldn't resist that kind of gaze.
