nightmare
It looks like a puppy, the kind that bares its teeth.
Looking at Zhou Min opposite him who was deliberately making a scary smile, Zhou Qiting thought of the Pomeranian in Zheng Siying's home.
The Pomeranian, just like its owner when he was a child, was born to be incompatible with Zhou Qiting and would bare its teeth whenever it saw her.
At this moment, Zhou Min looked like a furry and angry puppy.
"I'm looking forward to it." I'm looking forward to you surprising me. Zhou Qiting narrowed his eyes, and a smile unconsciously rose at the corner of his mouth.
Seeing that Zhou Qiting was not afraid but looked at him with a doting look, Zhou Min suddenly began to doubt his life.
Could it be that I accidentally catered to Zhou Qiting's taste?
Are Zhou Qiting’s hobbies too broad?
-
Until they reached the cinema, Zhou Min still hadn't figured out what on earth he had touched about Zhou Qiting that made her look so doting and saying "I'll do whatever you say" all the time.
The cinema is located above the business district, and even though it is a weekday, there are still many people.
Unexpectedly, there were surprisingly few people watching the show that Zhou Min and Zhou Qiting attended. There were only twos and threes scattered in the corners, which made their seats in the middle seem particularly empty.
Before the movie even started, Zhou Min raised his question about the number of people in the audience. Zhou Qiting thought for a moment, then looked away unnoticeably, and replied calmly, "Maybe it's because this movie has no dialogue, so it's not popular with the audience."
What a reasonable explanation! It doesn't look like he used money at all. Zhou Min muttered to himself.
The air conditioning was strong inside. Zhou Qiting was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, tucked into a high-waisted A-line skirt. The skirt wasn't short, but it wasn't long enough to cover her smooth knees.
Zhou Min felt cold just watching from the side.
She didn't want to notice it, but Zhou Qiting was so white that it was dazzling, and she just kept flashing into her peripheral vision.
Although he knew that Zhou Yiting would not live to the age of developing rheumatoid arthritis, Zhou Min still kindly took out a thick towel from his tote bag and handed it to Zhou Yiting, indicating that she could use it to cover herself.
Zhou Yiting took the towel and, although she was always well-behaved, she rarely showed a look of surprise.
Most people don't put this in their bags.
She couldn't say that she always kept a thick towel on hand just to wipe blood stains, right?
Zhou Min stared intently at the screen about to be shown, touched his nose guiltily, and lied, trying to cover up his mistake: "I bought it at the supermarket earlier and forgot to take it out."
Really? But it smells like detergent, a light pine smell, the same as you smell.
Zhou Yiting tightened her grip on the towel, and instead of exposing the person next to her, she made note of this small detail in her mind.

As Zhou Qiting said, this animated film has no lines of dialogue throughout, but Zhou Min was fascinated by it.
The film is set in a world of anthropomorphic animals. A lonely puppy buys a robot to keep him company, but while playing on the beach, the robot's joints are corroded by sea water and it becomes unable to move.
Later, the beach was closed due to the out-of-season, and the puppy could only wait until the next year to go to the beach to pick up the robot.
The robot failed to wait for the puppy as it wished.
It was sold to a scrap yard by a scavenger who sneaked into the beach. After being torn into pieces, a passing raccoon picked up its head and limbs, used the radio as its body, reassembled it, and became friends with it.
It's a good ending. The robot has a raccoon, and the puppy has a new robot. They both let go of their past regrets.
Everyone is happy.
"I think the robot was left on that beach forever." At the end of the story, looking at the robot and the puppy dancing in the air, Zhou Min suddenly spoke, whispering in a tone as if he was talking to himself.
The robots that followed were nothing more than shells with new hearts. Can we really let go?
Zhou Qiting, who had been paying half of his attention to Zhou Min from the very beginning, noticed Zhou Min's depression since that scene.
Whether it was her slightly trembling lips or the watery corners of her eyes, the fragility that she had been hiding in her heart was exposed in front of Zhou Yiting.
She probably didn't want others to see her like this. In the dim light, Zhou Qiting, whose heart was also fluctuating with Zhou Min's emotions, didn't offer any words of comfort, but silently tried to empathize with him.
Now, Zhou Min has calmed down and quietly wiped away the moisture from the corners of his eyes, allowing the emotions that were just revealed to wrap around him layer by layer again, forming a thick cocoon.
And that sentence was her final seal to her heart.
"If the robot saw the efforts made by the puppy, would it be able to walk out of the beach?" Zhou Yiting said with a hint of meaning. She understood what Zhou Min wanted to express, and also saw the robot that had been left on the beach from her perspective.
If the robot could see that the puppy tried to pry open the lock of the beach gate three times in order to save it, but was caught by the security guard;
If the robot sees the puppy applying to the government to take the robot back, but is rejected;
If the robot could see that the puppy followed the robot's scent and dug several deep holes on the beach on the first day the beach opened next year, but found nothing;
If it could see it, could it walk out of the beach?
For the first time ever, Zhou Yiting had a strong desire to know someone's past.
She wanted to know where Zhou Min's boundless sorrow came from.
She wanted those eyes to stop being filled with tears.
"Actually, it went out." Zhou Min turned his head, controlled the expression on his face freely, and gave Zhou Qiting a relieved smile.
The only one who couldn't leave the beach was herself.
Because no one tried to save her, no one seen or seen.
The real Zhou Min has been hollowed out and left in the past. It is this body that struggled to walk out of the sea of corpses and blood, piecing together a broken heart with hatred and guilt, and barely staying alive.
If there ever comes a day when regrets are finally let go, she who has been living on them will also be blown away by the wind.
"Zhou Qiting," Zhou Min said solemnly, not calling her "Miss Zhou" in a distant way. Zhou Min wanted to listen closely to her inner thoughts. "Do you have any unfulfilled wishes in this life?"
You have to finish it quickly, otherwise it will be too late. Zhou Min turned his head and looked at her without blinking, waiting for her answer.
"have."
"I want to ask someone for an answer." Zhou Yiting stared at the screen where the ending credits were scrolling, and his voice became low, as if he was infected by Zhou Min.
"Even though it's been a long time since the incident, I still want to ask her for an answer."
She lowered her eyelashes, shadows covering her pupils, and laughed at herself: "Doesn't it sound silly?"
Isn't it stupid to try to find the true feelings that the actors may have projected from a fictional play that has been closed for fifteen years, just like trying to find a sword on a boat?
Hearing the word "a long time", Zhou Min raised his brows slightly, feeling something in his heart, and asked in an obscure tone: "What question do you want to ask her?"
"I want to ask..." Zhou Qiting suddenly turned around and looked honestly into Zhou Min's dark brown eyes. He looked past the person in front of him and asked the golden figure in his memory, "Why are you using me?"
Why do you want to take advantage of my identity and my promise to gain benefits?
The movie ended and the overhead light suddenly came on.
Zhou Min's expression gradually turned into confusion, and Zhou Qiting also realized that such a topic was too serious, so she naturally took Zhou Min's warm left hand and stood up.
"Let's go, it's over."
Then she naturally placed her cold fingertips on Zhou Min's palm. Seeing that Zhou Min didn't react, she pinched her palm again.
What?
It shouldn't be me, right?
I never took advantage of you.
As Zhou Min's thoughts turned over and over, he felt the coolness in his palms. He subconsciously clenched his palms and wrapped them around Zhou Qiting's hands.
Until Zhou Yiting's temperature became the same as Zhou Min's, until Zhou Min's pulse became the same as Zhou Yiting's.
Zhou Min shook off Zhou Qiting's hand as if she had been electrocuted, and suddenly realized that she had been led out of the cinema. Zhou Qiting was looking at her with a smile on his face.
At that moment, it seemed as if all the stars fell into Zhou Yiting's eyes, and his lacquer-like pupils were shining brightly.
Ha, how can you see the stars at night in a light-polluted city?
Zhou Min quickly turned his face away, not being fooled by Zhou Qiting.
The familiar, throaty chuckle seeped into Zhou Min's ears like honey:
"It's not too late, but goodnight."
-
Restless night.
Zhou Min doesn't like to sleep. She often dreams about the past because the nights are long and she has many dreams.
Zhou Min had been abandoned in this world for twenty-five years, and those nightmarish years had occupied half of her life, providing a constant source of material for her later nightmares.
She tried taking sleeping pills and also tried drinking too much alcohol to make herself unconscious.
But the dream could not be eradicated, and these methods made the nightmare more prolonged, making her feel out of control and uncomfortable.
Recently, the frequency of dreaming about those years has become less and less, and instead, Zhou Yiting appears frequently in her dreams.
Either her in the past or her now.
It could be considered a good dream, but it was even worse. For Zhou Min, waking up from the dream was the beginning of the nightmare.
Who wants to dream about you!
At five in the morning, the alarm rang. Zhou Min opened his eyes, stared at the ceiling, and sighed deeply.
Ever since she met Zhou Yiting near the gym last time, she went there to cancel her user information and got a refund. She didn't plan to go there again.
The house she rents now is quite clean and bright, much better than the small studio room in the urban village she had before. The key is that it has a bathroom, so she can take a shower in time after exercising every morning.
In the living room, Zhou Min wore a black vest on his upper body, with his arms bent and supported on the yoga mat on the ground. He exerted force faintly, and his muscle lines were clear.
The healed and faded scars overlapped on it, extending from the forearm to the back, and disappeared into the cover of the clothes.
Shallow or deep, these are Zhou Min's unique rings, recording... her mother's love for her.
The thorns wrapped around the rose pattern on the back of Zhou Min's hand meandered downwards, bypassed the wrist bone, and pierced deeply into the heart on the inside of the wrist. Blood oozed out, and it seemed to fall but could not.
Correspondingly, this is a tribute to her love for her mother.
