Chapter 11 Wolf Demon Thief

After paying homage to the City God, Su Rui returned to the county government office.

Wu Qianqian and Shi Yi were no longer there, but Su Rui met Captain Wu in the police station of the county government office. Coincidentally, he had nothing to do, so he chatted with him for a while.

"Boss Wu, where are those young men?" Su Rui asked.

"They were each given ten lashes by the county magistrate and then released." Captain Wu looked gloomy, clearly dissatisfied with the severity of Magistrate Su's punishment of the young man. It seemed that the fact that Wu Qianqian was almost bullied had fueled his anger.

"They got a good deal!" Su Rui said with a pout.

"Boss Wu, it is rumored that every household has lost livestock recently, and even young children have been stolen. Is it true?" Su Rui inquired.

Upon hearing this, Captain Wu glanced sideways, his expression becoming even more melancholy. "It is indeed true. I'm afraid there are demons and ghosts wandering around the city these days. Erlang should stay out of the county office as much as possible, so that the adults won't worry about him!"

His words reminded Su Rui of the Chen family girl's fake corpse case and the little fox demon who hid in the inner courtyard of the county government under a false name.

He always has a sense of urgency that a storm is about to come.

The two chatted for a few more minutes, and seeing that he still had official business to attend to, Su Rui said goodbye and left the police station.

At the hour of You, Su Rui followed Constable Wu to his yard to practice martial arts, but found that Shi Yi was not there. So he asked Wu Qianqian when Constable Wu went back to the house to change clothes, and found out that Shi Yi was confined to the academy by Constable Wu and was punished to copy a book a hundred times.

Hearing such a punishment, Su Rui also gasped.

I'm glad that Magistrate Su is currently adopting a laissez-faire policy towards him, otherwise he would probably have to suffer in his studies!

Before teaching him the lesson that day, Captain Wu once again warned him and Wu Qianqian not to run around unless necessary, and began to actually teach him how to use hidden weapons and darts.

"Before using a hidden weapon, you must first be familiar with it and hold it in your hand to warm it up. This way, when you throw it, it will be as if you have divine help!"

"Erlang, you are still young, and it is not suitable for you to use complicated hidden weapons at the beginning. Just like Qianqian did back then, start by learning to use pebbles as hidden weapons!" Captain Wu stood under the tree and said to Su Rui who was looking forward to it.

Su Rui nodded in agreement. Captain Wu is an expert in hidden weapons, so it’s right to listen to him!

Captain Wu then took out a pebble and demonstrated how to use it as a hidden weapon.

The pebble shot out of his hand like a bullet, disappeared in front of his eyes in a flash, and hit a late-returning sparrow ten feet away, breaking its bones.

"So powerful! It's as powerful as the pistol I had before I traveled through time!" Su Rui exclaimed in admiration.

After the demonstration, Captain Wu took out a pebble and asked Su Rui to try it himself.

Su Rui was not nervous. He had just used his golden pupil to see clearly the movements of Captain Wu, so he could still follow the instructions.

Su Rui imitated Captain Wu's movements and hit the pebble out with force.

Whoosh~

The pebble was hit, but it was a million miles away from the target Su Rui was aiming for.

Su Rui was slightly embarrassed. He looked at Captain Wu and chuckled dryly, "Just a little bit off!"

Captain Wu ignored his playful smile and commented professionally, "The technique is correct, but the direction is off, and the force is too strong."

"Remember, before you throw a hidden weapon, you must maintain a clear mind. Use force on your wrist when throwing, and use your strength skillfully, not violently. After throwing, don't worry about the reward, but act quickly, either attack or change direction and hide..."

Su Rui did not dare to slack off and wrote down every word of what Captain Wu explained.

After patiently teaching Su Rui, Captain Wu let Su Rui practice on his own, and he set his sights on Wu Qianqian.

If Shi Yi's hidden weapon skills were one or two times as strong as Wu Jiaotou's, then Wu Qianqian's hidden weapon skills were three times as strong as Wu Butou's! This was evident from the fact that she had accurately hit a young man's nose with a pebble today.

It was just that I was ambushed at close range and my hidden weapon skills were not good enough, so I was bullied by Qingpi today.

Perhaps to prevent what happened today from happening again, or perhaps because of the recent unstable situation, Captain Wu taught Wu Qianqian a stick technique today, called the Chaos Cape Demon-Suppressing Stick Technique.

When Su Rui saw Captain Wu using an iron stick to perform a stick technique, he was also shocked by the violence of the stick technique.

It was truly impenetrable, and anything that came close to it was swept away by the stick's gust of wind, and everything it passed through was turned into powder!

Under the stick technique, the air seemed to freeze, and Su Rui, who was watching, actually felt like he couldn't breathe.

When the stick fighting stopped, it was just like the sky clearing up after the rain, the sudden rain and strong wind just stopped, and the air became fresher.

"Good stick technique!" Su Rui couldn't help but applaud.

Wu Qianqian was also stunned by the domineering power of this stick technique and clapped her hands in applause.

Captain Wu ignored them and began to teach Wu Qianqian every move, including the mental techniques.

Su Rui stopped practicing his hidden weapons and just sat aside to take lessons. It was not until the servants from the county government came to pick him up that he was driven back by the head constable Wu.

At the hour of Xu, the sky was already dark.

People have already started to sleep according to the traditional custom of working from sunrise to sunset, and there are only a few drunkards scattered on the streets.

Su Rui and his servants were walking slowly towards the county government office along their usual route when suddenly they heard fire and shouting in the distance.

"Hurry up! Someone is trying to steal the child..."

"Chase them quickly, they are right in front!!!"

"Don't let him get away, beat him to death..."

Judging from the sound, it was clearly coming towards him!

Soon, Su Rui saw a figure running and jumping on the roof tiles. The figure was running and jumping at an extremely fast speed, with exaggerated and smooth movements, just like the parkour master before the time travel. At first glance, it was still far away, but in the blink of an eye, it was close.
