"Father, I'm back!"
When Su Rui entered the county government office, the gatekeeper stared at him in disbelief, as if he had seen a ghost. Su Rui placed his hand to his lips, silencing him. Then he entered the office and saw Magistrate Su Daquan, buried in his desk. He approached, smiling softly and greeting him as if returning home from a day out.
Upon hearing this, Magistrate Su's hand holding the pen trembled. He raised his head and glanced at Su Rui. He first said "hmm" in a deep voice, and then said, "I'm glad you're back! Your mother missed you so much, go see her!"
Magistrate Su's tone was calm, but Su Rui could sense the unspoken care and kindness in his heart. For some reason, Magistrate Su looked much older, his hair a mixture of black and white, and crow's feet had appeared at the corners of his eyes.

Furthermore, Taoist Qiao San, who had taken advantage of the chaos to hold him, had indeed been killed by True Man Yu'e.
