Su Rui walked along the underground passage to the basement where the blood demon was originally located, but found that the floor and even the walls of the basement were covered with immortal vines. Because the immortal vines had long sharp thorns, Su Rui didn't know where to step after pushing open the door.
Fortunately, the Immortal Vine seemed to have gained a lot of intelligence and knew that Su Rui was its true master. It moved slightly to make a path for him. Su Rui even sensed a faint consciousness that seemed to be happy about his return.
The leaves of these longevity vines are as crystal clear as jade, with serrated edges like sharp knives. Their stems are deep red and covered with tiny thorns, which look shocking.
The roots of the Immortality Ivy were even more spectacular, entwined throughout the basement like a giant net, enveloping the entire space. These roots also had numerous tiny fibrous roots growing from them, which constantly moved, as if exploring their surroundings.
The figure of the red dragon had disappeared. Following the path made by the longevity vine, Su Rui discovered that she had actually changed back to her original form. She used the art of transformation and became only a foot long, like a snake. She coiled her body and took a nap beside the main root of the longevity vine.
She had already sensed Su Rui's arrival, but she just looked up and continued to sleep with her head drooping.
Seeing that she was sleeping soundly, Su Rui did not wake her up. Instead, he picked her up and put her in his arms.
"I don't know what's wrong with this girl. I've never seen her so sleepy before!" Su Rui patted Chi Jiao who continued to sleep in his arms and couldn't help muttering.
Little did they know, the Immortal Vine actually sent another simple thought, which roughly meant: "She ate the fruit and fell asleep..."
Su Rui was a little confused. This vine of immortality could not only transmit consciousness, but also bear fruit?
As if to confirm its words, a vine branching out from the main root of the longevity vine suddenly grew a different bud. When the bud appeared, it was only the size of a finger, but it grew to the size of a fist at a speed visible to the naked eye. Then the bud opened and the flower bloomed, and a sweet and psychedelic mist emanated from the bud.
Su Rui was surprised to find that several mosquitoes that came into contact with the pollen of the Immortality Vine seemed to be under a hallucination and fell straight to the ground. They were spinning in place and could not find the direction to take off.
Before he could further observe the mosquitoes attracted by the pollen, the blooming flower suddenly began to wither. Its bloom was so short that it seemed to be a flash in the pan. However, Su Rui also noticed that an egg-sized fruit had condensed on the bottom of the withered flower.
As the fruit grew, a rich, fruity aroma began to emanate from the basement, causing the already hungry Su Rui to gulp. The fruit grew rapidly, eventually reaching the size of a goose egg, somewhat resembling a kiwi fruit. Its skin was golden, and in the dark basement, it shone brightly, like a piece of gold.
Su Rui couldn't wait any longer. Seeing the fruit, he thought, "It should be ripe now," and reached out to pick the fruit that had been slowly lifted to him by the vine and put it in his mouth. He took a bite, but there was no juice flowing, no sweet fruit flavor, only a fiery heat.
This huge contrast with his imagination made Su Rui's heart collapse instantly. He almost couldn't hold it back and spit it out. But remembering the words of Shi Chaoyun from Kunlun Sect, he decided to grit his teeth and persevere, swallowing it down as if it were a hot pepper.
However, after eating this thing, Su Rui felt a little regretful!
He didn't know if it was poisonous. If it was deadly, he would be dead. He felt as if his throat was on fire, and the burning sensation spread all the way to his stomach. His face turned red, as if he had been slapped. He wanted to drink water to relieve the pain, but he found that he couldn't open his mouth. He could only gasp for air, hoping to expel the hot air quickly.
At this moment, Su Rui felt like a frog thrown into the fire. He wanted to jump out, but he was powerless. His heart was filled with regret, and he felt that he was too reckless.
Just then, he suddenly felt a breeze blowing, causing his body to tremble slightly.
He raised his head, only to find that the Immortality Vine had actually wrapped around him, and several tiny roots had even pierced his skin and penetrated into the blood vessels of his hands.
Su Rui instantly felt a cool breeze, like the brush of a fairy's long sleeves, emerging from the blood vessels in his hands and quickly spreading throughout his body. The heat that had risen from eating the immortal vine fruit was gradually dissipated.
Su Rui suddenly felt refreshed, like a long drought finally ending in a gentle rain. He tried to stand, but found his legs were still a little weak. He took a few unsteady steps, then stopped and took a deep breath. He felt a strange power flowing through his body, making him feel much stronger.
Su Rui was ecstatic and couldn't help but punch the air. He actually made a dull explosion in the air with his bare hands.
He felt that his condition was getting better and better. Su Rui was overjoyed and thought to himself: "This fruit of the Immortality Vine is really magical. It has made my strength improve by leaps and bounds."
He thought calmly for a moment, then summoned the small diagram: "Xiaotu, can you deduce the consequences of swallowing the Immortality Vine Fruit?"
