Chapter 20: Third-rate Master

Suri was grounded.

He has been detained in the county government office for three days since the "Flower House Incident" occurred.

He was not locked up in a room, but was put into a real cell by County Magistrate Su on the charge of "not doing his job properly."

Although Magistrate Su wanted to teach him a lesson, he did not really have the heart to throw him into death row. Instead, he locked him up in the same area with some minor criminals who had committed petty thefts and fighting, and kept them in separate rooms.

The characteristic of the criminals in his area is that they are all relatively young. Of course, Su Rui is the only one who was locked up before the age of thirteen.

On that day, County Magistrate Su simply escorted him to the door and then asked the jailer to send him in.

Although the surrounding prisoners saw that the jailer was very respectful to him, they only thought that he was a prisoner of a slightly special status, such as a county student. They never thought that he was a prince of the imperial court.

But he did have some special privileges. For example, at lunchtime, "Lotus" would be ordered by the county magistrate's wife to bring in some meat and vegetables. Also, when everyone else was supposed to be working, he could slack off without anyone saying anything. And finally, his cell wasn't locked, so he could wander into the public areas at any time.

Life in the cells is actually not as bleak or boring as imagined. Prisoners need to work every day, and the prison also gives them half an hour of fresh air in the public areas on a regular basis.

There's actually light in the cell, just not enough. Otherwise, it's just like living at home! If the environment is better than home, it won't serve as a warning or education.

The cell that the prison boss arranged for Su Rui had a small window so that he could get sunlight every day.

After Su Rui came in, he didn't neglect his studies. However, the cell was too cramped, and the air wasn't flowing smoothly, making it difficult for him to practice swordplay. He could only occasionally practice the "Ape Swordplay Technique" using his fingers as a sword. The rest of his time, aside from the essential "Mori Golden Light Pupil" (a form of martial arts), he basically spent it practicing the "Pure Yang Boy's Kung Fu."

Three days later, his Pure Yang Boy's Kung Fu finally broke through the second level and entered the third level. The Pure Yang Internal Force in his body increased exponentially again. He felt that he could now wrestle a bull with no problem!

At this stage, he could even declare himself a master! But he was only a third-rate master!

"Hey, young man, your Hehua is here to bring you food again. Today it's my turn!" A young man with a pointed face and monkey cheeks in the next cell saw Hehua coming in with a food box, so he swallowed his saliva and reminded Su Rui with anticipation on his face.

"I know, your share is indispensable!"

In this world of material scarcity, most people tend to be thin, mainly due to a lack of oil and water. Prisoners with minor sentences here mostly come from poor families and crave rich food.

Su Rui took the lunch box from Lotus and handed a plate of greasy braised meat to the boy next to him. Since the first day, he'd been sharing his meals with his cellmates, especially the meat. There were no rules for sharing; it depended on Su Rui's mood, but generally, they took turns.

We uphold the spirit that happiness is shared with others rather than enjoyed alone.

Of course, this also depends on the love of the county magistrate's wife.

However, the county magistrate's wife was very supportive! She brought him enough food for two or three people every day, fearing that he would starve in prison.

The same goes for today's lunch.

Seeing that there was still half a chicken today, Su Rui tore off the chicken leg and gave the remaining meat to "Hehua".

"Lotus" was very upset about him being put in prison, and because of this, she hadn't eaten chicken for several days.

Seeing Su Rui handing over the chicken, she took it without hesitation and started eating it with big mouthfuls, not caring about the ladylike image of "Lotus" at all.

The remaining chicken leg fell into Su Rui's own stomach.

He is growing up now and needs to eat meat every day to supplement his nutrition. Otherwise, he won't even want to eat chicken legs. He is already tired of eating chicken every day!

After taking a few more mouthfuls of noodles, Su Rui saw that the boy next to him had eaten all the meat and even licked all the oil in the bowl.

He secretly vowed never to eat from that big bowl again!

At the same time, I couldn't help but feel a little relieved.

If he had not traveled through time and space to the body of this young man but the body of the boy next door, he would probably still be thinking about how to avoid starvation! How could he have the leisure to practice martial arts and cultivate the law!

After lunch, Su Rui wanted to go to the public area to get some fresh air.

As soon as I walked out of the cell, I saw a burly man being brought in with shackles. The strange thing was that his expression revealed a sense of pride.

Su Rui was curious and asked, "Hey, good man, what crime did you commit to get here?"

The man grinned and said, "I just ran into my enemy and had a fight with him. I injured him and was then locked up here by the police!"

"Then why do you still look so happy?" Su Rui asked puzzledly.

"Shouldn't you be happy that you won the competition?" the man asked back.

"You should be happy!" When he asked this, Su Rui didn't know how to answer, and could only admire his optimism and generosity!

"Let me tell you, young master, for some reason, a lot of martial artists have flocked into the county these past two days. The county magistrate has even issued a ban on fighting in the streets. This guy violated the ban, fought with someone in the street, and even injured the other person. That's why we locked him in!" The escorting officer saw this and said.

Su Rui felt something was wrong when he heard this, and asked again: "Since the other party has also violated the ban, why not lock him up as well?"

The officer laughed and said, "He's been locked up too! He's currently recuperating in front of the hall and will be escorted here soon!"
