"That's where the alchemy room is. This immortal palace opens once every sixty years, and the precious treasures inside have long been looted! Instead of wasting time wandering there, why not explore deeper into the jungle? The jungle is constantly growing, and every year those who enter the jungle can pick up some precious natural treasures. Who knows, you might even encounter unexpected surprises when you go there!"
Ao Ying was obviously quite familiar with this place. When she saw Su Rui preparing to move along the corridor, she kindly gave him some advice.
Hearing this, Su Rui's heart raced. He had originally planned to fly ahead and search, returning to the rockery if he found nothing. However, just as he was about to take off, an immensely powerful force suddenly surged from the void, like a towering mountain bearing down on him. Unprepared, Su Rui was slammed back to the ground.
This sudden change startled Su Rui, who thought he was under some kind of magical attack. He immediately looked around warily, but found nothing unusual. Finally, his eyes fell on Ao Ying, who had a smile on her face.
"This immortal palace has special restrictions. Flying and teleportation spells are not allowed~" Ao Ying explained with a chuckle, "So we can only walk to our destination like ordinary people. Even if we want to use magical powers like 'Shrinking the Earth into an Inch', we can't do that!"
Su Rui slapped his forehead hard, feeling secretly annoyed: "Alas, after all, this is my first time exploring the Immortal Palace, and I still have too little experience! I really lost face this time..." He looked at the Kunlun Sect members in the distance, and suddenly understood why they had been so well-behaved and obedient before, and actually walked to the medicine field obediently.
At this moment, Ao Ying walked up to Su Rui and said goodbye to him: "I am going to my destination. I hope you can get a good opportunity!"
Before turning to leave, she seemed to remember something and warned him, "Oh, by the way, there are many dangerous things hidden in this immortal palace, including several extremely powerful but difficult to deal with Yuanling magic weapons. You must be careful and don't lose your life here!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Ao Ying walked towards the spiritual spring without hesitation. Watching her retreating figure, Su Rui couldn't help but fall into deep thought: This woman had just said that all the treasures here had been looted, so why didn't she go? Was she trying to trick him into going there? Or was she genuinely showing him the way?
For a moment, Su Rui couldn't guess what Ao Ying was doing.
He pondered for a moment, his mind pounding with doubt: That jungle is so remote. To reach it, he'd have to walk a long way along the edge of the rockery. If there were no treasures there, wouldn't that be a complete waste of time? He frowned, pondering his decision.
After a moment's silence, Su Rui finally made up his mind—he should listen to his inner voice! First, he'd bypass the massive rockery and head towards the nearby buildings. If he found nothing there, he'd turn around and head towards the untamed jungle, filled with unknowns! This way, he could ensure efficiency without wasting precious time...
Well, this plan sounds quite feasible!
He took a deep breath and walked along the corridor towards the courtyard and pavilion behind the rockery.
When he walked up the corridor, he found that the vegetation on both sides of the corridor was lush and green, with all kinds of exotic flowers vying for beauty and emitting bursts of fragrance; ancient pine and cypress trees stood in between, with their branches upright, guarding the land like guards; a golden coin turtle lay leisurely on the side of the road basking in the sun, occasionally sticking its head out to observe the surroundings, and was not afraid of Su Rui when it saw him, but just stared at him curiously; many small and exquisite birds were jumping and singing on the branches, as if welcoming the arrival of him as a visitor; two agile squirrels were playing and running through the woods, bringing a touch of agility to the whole picture; and the elegant and holy crane, standing on the top of the rockery, cleaning its already spotless feathers; a green spirit snake was lurking quietly in the grass, as if looking for some delicious food.
Everything here seems like a carefully crafted painting by nature. Every scene exudes an ethereal feeling, yet is filled with vitality and vigor thanks to the presence of various flowers, trees, insects, fish, birds and animals. Wandering through it, Su Rui feels relaxed and happy, as if he were in a fairyland.
He walked briskly forward, unknowingly arriving at the pavilion closest to the rockery. This pavilion, called Guanlan Pavilion, was quite impressive, measuring nearly ten feet square. Constructed of finest wood, it exuded an antique charm and a rich, elegant atmosphere. Each of the six supporting pillars was carved with a real dragon, some circling upwards, some holding their heads high, and some winding and twisting. Each dragon, in a variety of poses, was so lifelike that it seemed ready to soar into the air at any moment.
Above the pavilion, near the entrance to the corridor, hung a small, exquisite wind chime. When Su Rui entered the pavilion, the chime rang without any wind, emitting a clear and melodious sound, like the sound of nature, as if warmly welcoming him. This beautiful sound made Su Rui even more cheerful.
There were wooden tables and chairs in the pavilion, and a Go game on the table. Su Rui took a quick look and saw that it was an unfinished endgame. He paused for a moment, but ultimately restrained himself and did not move the chess pieces on the table.
He stood in the Guanlan Pavilion and looked out towards the widest view. He saw the Huanlong Pond. The Huanlong Pond from this side, with rippling waves and leaping fish and dragons, was truly a scene of extreme beauty.
