This is a mysterious realm where gravity has been lost and the laws of nature are in chaos. In this bizarre land, floating islands drift across the sky, resembling a dreamlike wonderland; rivers hang upside down from the heavens, their waters rushing silently; rootless fires burn fiercely, fuelless yet eternally extinguished; and exotic flowers and plants grow in the void, seemingly taking root despite common sense. Occasionally, the skeletons of ancient, enormous dragons drift silently by, adding a touch of desolation and majesty to the entire scene.
When Su Rui and others followed the Xuanwu Taoist soldiers led by Wu Qianqian into the True Dragon Cemetery, they immediately encountered a thrilling challenge.
A ball of rootless fire, several acres in size, suddenly appeared ahead, hurtling toward them like a meteor. Fortunately, however, these Xuanwu Dao soldiers, rigorously trained, remained calm in the face of danger. They quickly unleashed their Xuanwu Dharma forms, forming a solid defensive barrier that escorted Wu Qianqian, Su Rui, and the others safely through the raging area of the rootless fire.
This rootless fire was incredibly fierce. While not one of the legendary seven true fires, its power should not be underestimated. It could not only ignite matter, but even more terrifyingly, it possessed the power to burn the soul. Su Rui secretly speculated that perhaps this rootless fire was the posthumous evolution of a powerful true dragon.
After successfully crossing the rootless fire, they finally landed on a massive floating island at least ten miles in radius. This floating island felt like a paradise, peaceful and tranquil, providing a place for them to catch their breath and rest.
This mysterious True Dragon Cemetery seemed to transcend common sense. Not only was there no sense of gravity, but even the laws of nature were in chaos and disorder. After narrowly avoiding the terrifying rootless fire, everyone suddenly realized that the surrounding natural energy seemed to have been completely devoured by those strange objects floating in the air.
For example, before approaching the floating island, they couldn't absorb even a single ounce of Heavenly and Earthly Qi. This meant that without sufficient Qi reserves or the support of companions, once their Qi ran out, they would likely starve to death in this desolate land. However, upon successfully landing on the floating island, they were surprised to feel an extremely rich, inexhaustible surge of Heavenly and Earthly Qi. In this environment, restoring their Qi was a breeze.
Despite the vastness of this space, floating islands were rare, with only a few within sight. In contrast, there were more massive rivers hanging high in the sky and rootless fires raging everywhere.
After arriving at the floating island, Wu Qianqian told Su Rui and others the task that the Putuo Sect Master assigned to her before leaving: to find the whereabouts of Tianlong's skeleton.
"This place is clearly called the True Dragon Cemetery! Who exactly is Tianlong?" Su Rui asked with a puzzled look on his face.
"Sky dragons are truly exceptional among dragons. Their unique ability lies in their uncanny ability to channel the power of the stars to forge their draconic bodies. With sufficient star power, they can endlessly restore their mana and repair damaged bodies. This unique gift is comparable to the legendary immortality of the demon race! When facing enemies, this ability undoubtedly gives them a huge advantage, saving them the consumption of precious elixirs and giving them a glimmer of hope in life-or-death situations!"
After hearing Wu Qianqian's detailed explanation, Su Rui's doubts were finally resolved. He then turned his gaze towards Chi Jiao and Ao Ying, curiously asking, "What about you? Did you find what you needed here?"
Chi Jiao shook his head slightly and answered firmly: "Although it is not clear what it is exactly at the moment, I can clearly feel that there is a treasure hidden here that is crucial to my future cultivation. I'm afraid I need to explore it myself to find out what it is!" Ao Ying also nodded, indicating that he agreed with Chi Jiao's point of view.
Su Rui then asked Shi Yi and Guo Yiming about their intentions. Shi Yi stated his goal without hesitation: to find the remains of a real dragon whose flesh remained incorruptible. Guo Yiming, on the other hand, hoped to collect several intact dragon souls to command his natal deity, the Great General of the Three Mountains Mysterious Altar.
"Then let's head first toward the search for the Sky Dragon's skeleton! If you happen to encounter any valuable treasures that suit your needs during your journey, feel free to ask..." Su Rui suggested calmly. Given the immense threat posed by the White Bone Lord, everyone knew they couldn't just split up and explore for treasure at this point, and they all agreed with Su Rui's suggestion.
After careful consideration and brief discussion, they reached a decision: the powerful Xuanwu Dao soldiers would remain behind to guard the area, while the others would each choose a direction, starting with the floating island beneath their feet. Su Rui's carefully chosen search direction was located east of the floating island, where a mysterious valley lay hidden, home to numerous unnamed, exotic plants.
When he landed in the valley, the sight before him astonished him—at the bottom of the valley lay the skeleton of an immense dragon! It seemed as if it had lain there quietly for countless years, covered in all sorts of strange mosses and vines, exuding a timeworn and ancient aura.
Without hesitation, Su Rui unleashed the Five Elements Earthly Extreme True Fire Evil. The blazing flames soared into the air like a fiery dragon, rapidly spreading along the dragon's massive skeleton. In the blink of an eye, the poisonous insects and various plants and animals entangled around the skeleton were incinerated to ash.
As the fire gradually subsided, an amazing scene appeared before Su Rui's eyes - the real dragon skeleton that was originally covered by dust and vegetation now became crystal clear, as if it was carved from beautiful jade!
