Chapter 284: Attacking Little Ants

At the foot of Qingcheng Mountain, in Qingxu Town, in the early morning hours, before the sun rose, the entire town was shrouded in a thin layer of white mist, resembling a fairyland. As the first rays of sunlight shone, the mist grew even more ethereal, making the entire town appear as if it were part of a mirage.

Su Rui, looking exhausted and dusty, landed in the courtyard in the center of town on his flying light. As he retracted the light, a joyful voice echoed in his mind: "Master, Master, you're finally back!"

It turned out to be the sound of the little ant he had left behind to guard his home. Ever since Su Rui bought the compound, he had left the little ant and its army of ants behind to guard it. It had been a long time now, so the little ant was so excited to welcome him back.

Soon, Su Rui heard a slight rustling sound again. As the sound came, a black cloud rose from the ground and circled around Su Rui.

Su Rui, possessing the "Mori Golden Light Pupil," naturally discerned the situation with remarkable clarity. It turned out that seemingly ordinary black cloud was actually formed by the gathering of tens of thousands of gigantic flying ants! These ants were far more ferocious than ordinary ants. Each one was the size of a soybean, with a brilliant black shell that shimmered with a faint black light, as if clad in a layer of hard armor. Their heads were enormous, their upper jaws powerful and faintly reddish, their abdomens swollen, and their tails studded with sharp spikes tinged with a faint azure blue. When they gathered together, the black light emanating from their bodies merged into a single mass. To the uninitiated, it would be easy to mistake them for a genuine black cloud.

However, at the center of this "black cloud," a unique flying ant stood out. This ant was enormous, as big as a human finger, its shell emitting a unique dark golden glow. Its back sprouted six pairs of transparent wings emitting a faint halo. Besides antennae, its head also sprouted a pair of dazzlingly colorful horns, making it look like the king of ants.

Su Rui gently stretched out his palm, and the little ant stood out from the huge group of flying ants and landed steadily in his palm.

Ever since the little ant followed his master to Tongqu County and participated in the experiment of "Spirit Control Technique", he has always been by his side. He can be said to be a "veteran" around his master.

Growing from an insignificant little ant to where it is today, through countless hardships, was truly a journey of great difficulty. This was certainly due to Su Rui's frequent feeding of various Qi elements, but this time, after such a long time, the little ant didn't cry out for hunger as usual, which made him suspicious.

Despite this, Su Rui could still clearly feel the subtle bond between himself and the little ant. This connection originated from the tacit understanding established when he first fed it the Spirit Controlling Qi.

He once again gathered a ball of colorful mirage in his palm. Ever since he successfully condensed the mirage dragon, the mirage's light had become even more dazzling and powerful than before. Upon seeing the mirage, the little ant danced with excitement. Without hesitation, it leaped into the mirage, devouring it frantically at an astonishing speed, swallowing it all in the blink of an eye.

"Oh my god! When did this little fellow's teeth become so sharp that he can even chew and swallow his Qi easily?"

In the past, Su Rui had always personally infused the Qi into its body and let it slowly digest it. However, today, it was able to actively devour the Qi, which was truly amazing!

After it had completely devoured the mirage dragon qi, with an unsatisfied look on its face, Su Rui immediately unleashed another burst of Shangqing qi. Surprisingly, the little creature wasn't picky about food, devouring it like a whirlwind.

Su Rui wanted to test its limits, so he condensed the Gangsha Qi generated from the Gangsha Fusion into a ball and held it in his palm. The little ant seemed to sense the powerful force of the Earth Extreme True Fire Evil and Heavenly Wind contained in the Gangsha Qi, and hesitantly began to act.

It first looked up at Su Rui's eyes, then glanced at the evil spirit in his palm, and finally mustered up the courage to run forward, carefully biting off a small piece of the evil spirit and swallowing it. At this moment, Su Rui suddenly found that its body suddenly became stiff.

"Oh my god, I'm so scalded, master, please save me..."

The voice of the little ant sounded in Su Rui's mind, which scared Su Rui immediately.

Su Rui extended his finger, intending to retract the evil spirit it had devoured, but just as he was about to do so, he suddenly changed his mind. He separated a ray of sandalwood glass Buddha light, which had condensed into a ball at some point, from his Niwan Palace and injected it into the little ant's body.

A miracle occurred. A glazed Buddha light shone from the little ant's body. Su Rui discovered that even though the evil spirit continued to erode the little ant's body, the glimmer of glazed Buddha light was always able to repair the damage in time. However, the speed of the repair seemed to be somewhat unable to keep up with the destructive power of the evil spirit.

Just one ray of Buddha's light wasn't enough, so a few more! Su Rui continuously infused nine streams of true energy into the little ant. Finally, a balance was achieved between the evil energy and the glazed Buddha's light. At this moment, the little ant stopped crying for help and instead gnashed its teeth in comfort.

"Isn't it said that everything in the world has a spirit? Ants are also part of the living world. Why don't I tell them some Buddhist scriptures?" Su Rui thought.

Once this idea came into being, it could no longer be stopped from spreading in Su Rui's mind.
