Chapter 3 Dragon Diagram and Eight Diagrams

Su Rui had a strong premonition that there was something very important to her here.

Following my feeling, I looked around and saw a simple stall selling sundries and old books.

On the stall were small items such as paperweights, inkstones, small stone sculptures, hairpins, etc., interspersed with a few bamboo books and a few old books.

Su Rui remembered that he didn't see this stall when he came here. It must have been new when he entered the restaurant to listen to stories.

This type of stall is not out of place in the temple fair. There are many stalls next door selling various small items. Among them, the stall selling bamboo dragonflies and straw animals is the most lively, but there is no one in front of this new stall.

The owner of the stall was a scholar who looked a little down and out. He was sitting cross-legged beside the stall, reading an old book with great interest.

Su Rui discovered that the source of his strong premonition was the few old books in front of the stall owner.

Without hesitation, Su Rui walked over and casually flipped through the old books. He asked, "Sir, these books and bamboo scrolls you've put out look quite old. Where did they come from?"

The stall owner looked up and saw a young boy. He was dressed in fine clothes and had two servants standing behind him. He knew he was the son of a wealthy family and did not dare to neglect him. He stood up and said, "These are some things left by the elders of the family. If they catch your eye, you can buy them with confidence!"

As Su Rui was flipping through the book, he had already found the source of his premonition. It was a Taoist book with half a roll of cover intact but the surface of the book had turned severely yellow.

The first scroll of the Taoist book was inscribed with six large traditional Chinese characters: "The Essentials of the Taoist Scriptures of Heavenly Immortality." It was standard and nothing special.

However, when he saw the content, his mind was instantly enveloped by a sudden white light, leaving him with only a blank white space. When he came to his senses, his vision had been switched to a closed and dark space.

This space had no up or down, and it was impossible to tell left from right. In the center floated a tortoise shell that looked like it was carved from black jade, and on the back of the tortoise shell lay a slowly flowing Tai Chi Bagua.

The tortoise shell, however, bore a sense of age and age, riddled with cracks. The most dramatic crack, undoubtedly caused by a heavy blow, had chipped off a corner of the Tai Chi Bagua pattern on its back. The grotesque crack, originating from the dent, nearly severed the shell in half. Other small cracks emanating from it were so densely packed, like the roots of a banyan tree, that they were impossible to count.

Su Rui even suspected that if he poked the turtle shell with his finger a little harder, it would break into pieces.

When Su Rui was feeling sorry for the tortoise shell, a shadow suddenly appeared out of thin air in the center of the Bagua Tai Chi diagram. Upon closer inspection, it was the half volume of the Taoist scripture he had just seen.

Could this be my golden finger?

Although the golden finger looked a little tattered, Su Rui was still a little happy. She just didn't expect it to appear in this way.

What is the use of this golden finger?

As soon as he had the thought, a young girl's voice came into his mind: "The Dragon Diagram Bagua is severely damaged. Currently, it can only be used to deduce exercises."

"It seems... a little weak! Are you the legendary system?" The sudden voice excited Su Rui and he couldn't help asking.

"I am the spirit of the weapon that was just born after the awakening of the Dragon Map Bagua. I don't have a name yet. Please give me a name, Master!"

"Hmm..." Su Rui thought for a long time and said, "Just call me Xiaotu!"

Apparently, he was a typical bad namer. After thinking for a long time, he could only come up with a name from the Dragon Chart and Eight Diagrams.

"Can you change your name?" the spirit of the weapon asked weakly.

"Uh... no! Xiaotu is such a great name, simple and easy to remember!"

The key is to remember it!

The main reason was that he couldn't think of a better name. He couldn't call it "Xiao Long", "Xiao Ba", "Xiao Gua", or "Xiao Ba Gua". He had thought about it, but he thought it was too rustic and didn't dare to say it out loud.

"Okay, let's call it Xiaotu~" the spirit whispered. She could sense that if she rejected this name, the next one Su Rui gave her would be even more vulgar.

"Hey, Xiaotu, show me how you deduce the exercises?" Su Rui decisively changed the subject to hide the embarrassment.

"As long as it's a classic technique that the master has browsed, Xiaotu can try to deduce it. However, because the Dragon Diagram and Bagua are severely damaged, Xiaotu can only perform basic deductions on the techniques and cannot perform in-depth deductions for the time being."

"For example, the half of the Taoist scripture that the master has just read..." At this point, the half volume of the scripture floating on the Dragon Diagram Bagua suddenly exploded and turned into a rain of words, which fell on the slowly flowing Tai Chi Bagua, just like big and small beads falling on a jade plate, making a tinkling sound, which was pleasant to the ear.

"After being disassembled and refined, the small diagram can be used to deduce a more complete technique."

As she described, the words that originally fell on the Tai Chi Bagua seemed to be pulled invisibly and began to rise in an orderly manner. In the center of the Tai Chi Bagua, a book of martial arts secrets called "Maori Jinguangtong" gradually took shape.

"This 'Essentials of the Celestial Immortal Scriptures' is incomplete in many ways, and the Dragon Diagram and Bagua are damaged, so Xiaotu can only deduce a weak method." Xiaotu said helplessly.

"That's such a pity!" Su Rui said regretfully. He was actually very satisfied to be able to obtain Tai Chi Bagua and a book of martial arts secrets at the same time, but after hearing what Xiao Tu said, he felt really regretful.

However, he knew that one could not enjoy all the blessings, and today's harvest was already very good.

Xiaotu added, "The technique Xiaotu has deduced, the master can choose to directly receive it!"

"However, after each initiation, the small picture needs to rest for a period of time to recover its strength. During this period, the master will not be able to use Tai Chi Bagua."

"So Master, quickly find a way to repair the Dragon Chart Bagua!"
