Chapter 64: Forbidden Woman

Su Rui sat cross-legged in the sunlight on the Tianxingtai. After listening to the little ant's report, he couldn't guess what Taoist Qiao San was plotting.

That day, the little ant sneaked over and saw him whispering with a woman with two fangs at the corners of her mouth. The little ant couldn't guess what they were talking about. As for the woman's identity, the little ant said that after they finished talking, the woman went into a tomb. As for what was in the tomb and where it led, it was beyond the little ant's ability to find out.

Since he couldn't guess it, Su Rui didn't bother to pay attention.

Since he had already cultivated the "Golden Light Pupil of the Mao Sun" to perfection, he could practice it at any time as long as there was sunlight. Since there was no one nearby and the sun was shining overhead, Su Rui resumed the practice of drawing in the sun's essence and cultivating the "Golden Light Pupil of the Mao Sun".

After not practicing for many days, he discovered that the Sun Fire in his pupil had actually returned to its original size. When he drew in the first ray of Sun's essence and absorbed it into his pupil, the Sun Fire instantly burst into flames, like a long drought meeting a downpour, a blaze being doused with fuel.

If someone looked into his eyes at this moment, they would see a ball of golden flame burning wildly in each of his pupils, and in the flame of his right eye, there were nine small Sanskrit characters flying and floating in the flame.

It was already noon when the two ghost maids finished cleaning the wooden house.

When they saw Su Rui sitting in the sun, staring blankly at the light, they didn't dare to disturb him. Mainly because they were too afraid of the Tianxingtai, so they both stood at the door of the wooden house and whispered to each other.

The Heshan Dao regularly captures some of the still-intelligent ghosts from the surrounding Yin and Yang areas, cleansing them of their resentment and foul spirits, and transforming them into spirit ghosts to help with menial tasks. The two spirit ghost maids were actually villagers from outside Heshan, who died young and were buried in a mass grave, becoming wandering ghosts. They were then picked up by the Heshan Dao and transformed into spirit ghosts.

The two ghosts have fairly regular looks. One has a pointed chin, like a snake spirit or a female ghost; the other has a rounder face, a bit plump and smooth.

"Sister, we two sisters don't know whether we are lucky or unlucky. The master we serve this time actually likes to bask in the sun, which is different from the previous masters who liked to soak in the yin air!" said the maid with a pointed face.

"Didn't you hear what the brother in the deacon hall mentioned just now? This is Elder Qiao's apprentice. Who is Elder Qiao? He is a big shot whose status is second only to the master. If we can be chosen as his apprentice's maid, it would be a great thing, so great that it would make our graves smoke." The round-faced maid analyzed.

"So, if we can be favored by this young master, then we can get the status of formal disciples in the future, right?" The maid with a pointed face showed anticipation in her eyes.

"If you're setting your sights on this guy, you're dreaming! This young man has a vibrant yang energy, like the blazing flames of a bronze cauldron. I'm afraid he's practiced some kind of boyish skill! People like him have strong minds and are unlikely to be tempted by external things!"

A gentle voice whispered in the ears of the two ghost maids, and then a figure appeared beside them. It was a young female ghost holding a baby.

The two ghost maids were immediately frightened to the point of having their hair stand on end. They hurriedly saluted the ghost girl and said, "Greetings, Master Ghost Mother!"

The female ghost holding the baby was none other than the ghost mother from the Nine-Child Mother's ghosts that Taoist Qiao San had refined, and the one she held in her arms was one of the ghost children. Their relationship with Taoist Qiao San was somewhat complicated, so after returning to Heshan, Taoist Qiao San would release his restraints on them.

The ghost mother looked at Su Rui with a look of kindness in her eyes.

"If only my children could grow up normally and be the same age as him, it's a pity they have such bad luck..."

At this point, she suddenly laughed and said, "If anyone among you can take down his Yuan Yang, I can consider accepting her as my disciple. Not only will she then have the status of a formal disciple, but she will also be under my protection! It all depends on whether you can do it! Hehe~"

The two ghost maids did not show any surprise when they heard her words, but knelt down in fear and trepidation: "Please spare our lives, Master Ghost Mother!"

"Hmph, I won't force you, but what I just said was no joke! You guys take care of yourself!"

After saying this, she and the baby in her arms disappeared.

After the ghost mother made such a fuss, the two ghost maids looked at Su Rui with less fantasy and more fear in their eyes.

Su Rui stared at the sun and practiced for an hour before concluding his technique. He still needed to go out and search for living souls to refine the Black Silk! Although today was the second day of the task assigned by Taoist Qiao San, Su Rui didn't want to kill innocent people, so he decided to go out early and search for some evil creatures to refine. Only in this way would it not affect his accumulation of merit.

He also needs to collect more merits for the small picture so that it can grow as quickly as possible and open the restrictions of Taoist Qiao San!

After walking around the cabin, Su Rui found that the bed and other supplies had not been arranged yet, so he ordered two ghost maids to go to the deacon's hall to borrow a straw mat and some other daily necessities.

He followed the path the boy had taken him, looking for the entrance or exit of the valley.

According to the boy, there are two entrances and exits to the valley, one in the sky and one in the water.

Su Rui hadn't yet mastered the art of escape, and without Taoist Qiao San's permission, he didn't dare use the Eight Horses Chariot without permission, so he couldn't use it at all. So he could only focus on the entrance and exit in the water.

Su Rui asked a few boys passing by before he found a pool of water emitting white cold air.
