Chapter 8: Fox Demon Kills Chicken

"Is it actually a fox demon?" Su Rui thought to himself, "They say foxes love to eat chicken. No wonder Lotus' eyes turned green when she saw the chicken soup! But why does this fox demon look so weak? It can't even kill a chicken."

Su Rui looked out the window for a while. The chicken in the kitchen still hadn't been killed, but his stomach was already rumbling with hunger.

He couldn't help himself any longer and took out his blowgun to add some toad venom to turn "Lotus" over before eating. But then he thought, "Lotus" hadn't done anything evil in the past two days, and what bad intentions could a little fox demon who secretly killed chickens at night but couldn't even kill chickens have?

So he put the blowpipe back into his arms, and to be on the safe side, he picked up the peach wood sword and pushed open the door of the kitchen.

"Lotus!" Su Rui first called out in a low voice, taking the initiative to seize the fox.

The fox who was killing a chicken inside was so frightened when he heard the door open that his fur stood on end.

He suddenly changed back to his original form and tried to escape through the window.

But when she heard Suri's voice, she hesitated for a moment, then hurriedly changed back into the image of the maid Lotus.

"Master...Master, why are you here?"

Realizing that its identity had been exposed, it began to speak incoherently.

"If I don't come, you might not be able to eat the chicken!" Su Rui said angrily, "I just saw you outside killing a chicken for a long time and couldn't kill it! You are a fox demon, how come you can't even deal with a chicken?"

"I've never killed a chicken~" Lotus said in a low voice embarrassedly.

Su Rui rolled his eyes. He reached out and hung the peach wood sword back on his back. He reached out and grabbed the chicken, whose neck was already scarred but still alive, and said, "You go light a fire and boil some water, and I'll kill the chicken. As promised, when the chicken is cooked, we'll each have half!"

Hehua wanted to say something, but when she saw Su Rui had already raised his knife and bled the chicken, she felt a chill on her neck. She didn't dare to say anything and went to light the fire.
