Chapter 20

Chapter 20

"Cheng Jiamo, are you kidding me?"

"Let me tell you, men are all the same when their pants are off. No matter their age or how handsome they are, when they get aroused, they're no different from animals!"

Ding Qiaoqiao sat cross-legged on the bed, munching on a tomato while expressing her indignant opinion.

Zhang Wenqian chimed in: "So, men are all animals that think with their lower bodies."

As she spoke, she turned off the girl group audition program she was watching.

"Look at those top celebrities in the entertainment industry who have had their scandals fall apart. Which one of them wasn't handsome? In the end, they all got into trouble because they couldn't control their lower bodies. It was either cheating or soliciting prostitutes."

Cheng Jiamo nodded with her lips pursed. Although she didn't say anything, she agreed with Ding Qiaoqiao's point of view.

Not all, but most men, or 99% of men, are probably like this.

She had lived in Beijing for three years, so she understood the situation even more deeply.

After all, the sex industry is almost legal in Thailand, and in that kind of social environment, men's true nature is fully exposed.

Because she had witnessed the dark and dirty side of life, when she met He Qingzhao, she felt that he was like a ray of light, a fresh, clean, bright and gentle white moonlight.

However, it now seems that He Qingzhao is not immune to the same fate.

I thought that a man like He Qingzhao, with his elegant, aloof, and noble demeanor, would be different from those vulgar men. In fact, all men are the same; once they take their pants off, there's no difference between them.

Although He Qingzhao had never taken his pants off in front of her, he did want to, but she resisted fiercely and stopped his rough behavior. Even if he hadn't gone all the way, he would have been no different from those vulgar men, except that he had "I want to sleep with you" written on his forehead.

That day at the hotel, he kept pressing her, asking who her ideal woman was.

She was angry and unwilling to talk, so he tore off his tie and wrapped it around her wrists, tying her to the headboard. He kissed her forcefully, sucking and biting her lips, pulling and tugging at them, licking her sensitive earlobe, and burying his face in her neck, sucking almost frantically.

Cheng Jiamo was no match for him; his kisses made her weak all over, her body flushed with passion, and she couldn't help but fall in love.

She was clearly resistant in her heart, but her body went against her will and she felt pleasure.

This feeling was unpleasant, making her feel like she was a complete failure.

She tried to push him away, but her hands were tied, and she couldn't push him at all.

He Qingzhao pulled away from her neck, bent down and knelt down, kissing her more deeply and forcefully.

Cheng Jiamo could clearly feel him sucking her hard, and she could even hear the sound of his sucking. He was sucking her urgently and frantically, as if he wanted to suck her into his belly.

He sucked and licked at the same time, his tongue prying open the moist, red lips and plunging into the cavity, stirring wildly.

Cheng Jiamo finally couldn't hold back her tears and stopped him in a trembling voice: "He Qingzhao, stop kissing me."

He Qingzhao sucked hard on her delicate, pink lips, then restrained himself from biting her once before moving his lips away and replacing them with his fingers.

His hands were beautiful, with large palms, long fingers, and well-defined knuckles; even a single finger joint fit together perfectly.

Cheng Jiamo suppressed her pain and glared at He Qingzhao with grief and indignation: "If you don't want me to die here, then continue."

He Qingzhao did not continue. Perhaps her threat had worked, or perhaps He Qingzhao lost interest in her after seeing her like this, and finally let her go.

Although he didn't continue, Cheng Jiamo could tell that he was very angry, mainly because he maliciously smeared his fingers on her face and even put his fingers in her mouth.

Back at school, Cheng Jiamo was so angry she wanted to block him, but in the end she held back.

She was unwilling to offend He Qingzhao unless absolutely necessary.

Regardless, he had saved her and helped her after all.

Besides, she couldn't afford to offend He Qingzhao. Even Qi Yingjie had to respectfully call him "Master He." She didn't even dare to offend Qi Yingjie, let alone He Qingzhao.

Although she dared not openly offend He Qingzhao, she was not cowardly enough to submit and obey.

She chose to ignore him; she neither blocked him nor deleted his contact information, but simply stopped paying attention to him.

The first day back at school passed peacefully; He Qingzhao didn't look for her.

The next day, she spent another day in a state of anxiety but also without incident; He Qingzhao still did not contact her.

On the third day, the fourth day... for five consecutive days, He Qingzhao did not contact her.

Of course, she didn't look for He Qingzhao either; she'd have to be crazy to actively seek him out.

She had even planned out how to avoid He Qingzhao. If he called her and asked her to go to the hotel again, she would refuse him by saying she was too busy with her studies.

Fortunately, He Qingzhao didn't contact her again. I wonder if he had completely lost his physical interest in her. I hope so.

Lost in thought, Ding Qiaoqiao and Zhang Wenqian's conversation had swung from "men are animals that think with their lower bodies" to gossip and scandals in the entertainment industry when she came to her senses.

"The entertainment industry is very dirty. Which of those so-called big and small actresses who become popular doesn't have a sugar daddy behind them?"

"Take Zheng Siyan, a former top-tier actress, for example. She debuted at her peak and had incredible resources. It was all because she had a powerful backer."

"She was kept by Zhao Jinfan, a bigwig in Beijing's entertainment circle, when she was a teenager. At first, her acting skills were terrible, and she relied entirely on Zhao Jinfan's money to promote her."

Ding Qiaoqiao took a sip of water, paused, and then spoke.

"Later, Zhao Jinfan got married, and Zheng Siyan's resources plummeted. Now she has been reduced to playing a supporting role to a second-tier pretty face like Miao Xuan."

"There's also Ye Chuxia, a top-tier actress, who openly sold her virginity to a big shot in the Hong Kong entertainment circle. After that night, her resources immediately improved, and she took on big productions and big IP roles, going from a minor supporting role to a leading lady."

Cheng Jiamo wasn't particularly interested in these entertainment news stories. She was about to take out the book "Autumn Lantern Memories," which she hadn't finished reading yet, to continue reading when her phone rang.

She picked up her phone, saw the caller ID, and her heart started racing.

"Who's going to the cafeteria for lunch?" Xia Mei, who hadn't spoken until now, suddenly asked.

Ding Qiaoqiao shook the half-eaten tomato: "I'm on a diet, I'm not eating it."

Zhang Wenqian glanced at the time, hurriedly got out of bed, and said while tying her hair, "My high school classmate is coming to visit me, so I won't be eating in the cafeteria tonight."

Cheng Jiamo didn't answer and hung up.

"I'll eat it." She hurriedly replied to Xia Mei, afraid that if she spoke too slowly, the person who called her would come after her.

It's Friday today, and since it's dinner time, there aren't many people in the cafeteria. The first-floor restaurant is almost empty, with only a dozen or so people eating there.

After getting their food, the two sat facing each other in the corner near the entrance.

"Momo," Xia Mei suddenly whispered, "Could you do me a favor?"

Cheng Jiamo had just put a piece of fried tofu into her mouth when she heard this. She looked up, puffed out her cheeks, and asked, "What kind of help?"

Xia Mei pursed her lips and said somewhat awkwardly, "I suspect my boyfriend is cheating on me, but I don't have any concrete evidence. I'm thinking of going to his school tomorrow to catch him in the act. Can you come with me? And help me test the waters."

"Shall I try it for you?" Cheng Jiamo hurriedly swallowed the fried tofu, wiped her mouth, and asked, "How can I try it for you?"

What she really wanted to say was, since you suspect he's cheating, just break up with him. Why bother trying?

Whether you've tested him or not, the fact that you've already started to doubt him means he hasn't given you enough security, so there's no point in continuing the relationship.

But she didn't say it. Saying it at this time wouldn't immediately make Xia Mei understand; it would only make Xia Mei more uncomfortable and would make her seem like she was talking without understanding the situation.

There's nothing wrong with liking someone when you're young.

Xia Mei poked at the rice in her bowl with her chopsticks, not really eating. She deliberately asked who was coming to eat in the cafeteria because she knew that Ding Qiaoqiao was on a diet and not eating dinner, and Zhang Wenqian was going out to eat with her high school classmates that night, so it was only Cheng Jiamo who was going to eat. Her purpose was to invite Cheng Jiamo to the cafeteria so that Cheng Jiamo could help her.

Although she usually got along best with Ding Qiaoqiao, she didn't dare to approach Ding Qiaoqiao now because she knew that if Ding Qiaoqiao found out, she would not only not help her, but would also call her love-struck and even say sarcastic things to mock her.

However, Cheng Jiamo would not do that. She could see that Cheng Jiamo was a very kind person, a genuinely kind-hearted person, not a hypocritical one. If someone really needed Cheng Jiamo's help, Cheng Jiamo would not refuse, much less say anything hurtful.

That's why she approached Cheng Jiamo and brought it up.

Since she had asked for help, she no longer hid anything and openly discussed her relationship status.

"He and I were high school classmates. He was the principal's son and the school's most handsome guy. He was the class's undisputed star, and many girls liked him. However, those girls only had crushes on him and didn't dare to pursue him openly. I was bold and shameless, so I took the initiative to pursue him. I pursued him for more than a year before he finally agreed to be with me. We got together in our second year of high school, and it's been three years now."

“I originally wanted to study in Haicheng, but he wanted to come to Beijing. After the college entrance examination, he applied directly to the aviation university in Beijing and only told me after he applied. I couldn’t bear to be separated from him, so I could only come to Beijing with him.”

“During the first month of my freshman year, he came to see me often, three or four times a week. Later, he stopped coming so often, sometimes once a week, sometimes not at all. When he didn’t come, I would go to see him on Saturdays and Sundays.”

“After the start of this semester, I could clearly feel that he didn’t like me anymore and was very cold to me. Last month, he didn’t come to see me even once. At the end of the month, I called him and planned to go to his school to see him, but he refused. He said he was busy and didn’t have time to spend with me.”

“But he wasn’t like this before. Before, even if he didn’t come, he wouldn’t refuse me if I went to him. But now, he doesn’t come to see me anymore, and he doesn’t let me go to see him either.”

Xia Mei became more and more excited as she spoke, her eyes reddening as she grasped Cheng Jiamo's hand.

"Momo, do you think he already has another girlfriend? If he does, why doesn't he tell me? Why is he keeping me hanging on?"

Xia Mei asked three questions in a row, leaving Cheng Jiamo completely bewildered and at a loss for words. Just as she was struggling to answer, her phone rang.

She glanced at the caller ID; it was He Qingzhao calling. She hadn't answered when He Qingzhao called from her dorm earlier and had hung up immediately.

I thought that someone as proud as He Qingzhao wouldn't fight again, at least not today, but I didn't expect him to fight again.

"I need to take this call." She grabbed at the phone as if it were a lifeline, quickly stood up, and walked to the side with her phone.

After hearing Xia Mei's account of her relationship situation, Cheng Jiamo's previously wavering heart suddenly calmed down.

She became increasingly aware that she shouldn't have any romantic entanglement with He Qingzhao.

Xia Mei's boyfriend is just the principal's son, and he's handsome, yet he's enough to make Xia Mei so infatuated and tormented by him.

As for He Qingzhao, this aloof, refined, and upright nobleman, "handsome" is merely his least noteworthy virtue.

After all, his status speaks for itself. Even members of the Thai royal family treat him with great respect. Even playboys like Qi Yingjie in Beijing have to respectfully call him "Master He." His own abilities are the envy and resentment of other high-ranking officials' children in Beijing. He is truly a chosen one.

She couldn't even imagine what she would be like if she really fell in love with He Qingzhao, not with the grateful affection she had now, but with a genuine, uncontrollable love, and then was abandoned by He Qingzhao.

Will he also suffer from the same anxiety and insecurity as Xia Mei?

If it really turned out that way, it would be too terrible. She couldn't let herself become a second Xia Mei.

She is now very glad that she held her ground and did not have a relationship with He Qingzhao.

Once the two had a relationship and the most intimate contact, she thought it would be easy for her to fall in love with He Qingzhao.

However, He Qingzhao may not actually like her; he may only have a physical desire for her. Sexual impulses often come and go quickly, and once the initial urge wears off, the desire fades.

So she can no longer see him, nor can she continue to have ambiguous entanglements with him. After a while, his desire will subside, and he will lose interest in her.

Someone like He Qingzhao wouldn't stoop to any lengths to sleep with a woman, or be so attached to her that he'd never be able to let her go.

Thinking about it this way, she felt more relaxed.

She didn't hang up again, but answered the call and asked gently and politely, "Hello, how can I help you?"

He Qingzhao laughed in exasperation: "What do you think I have to say?"

Cheng Jiamo feigned ignorance: "I don't know."

He Qingzhao said, "I'll come pick you up."

When Cheng Jiamo heard He Qingzhao say he was coming to pick her up, her heart skipped a beat, but she still pretended to be calm and confused.

"Huh? Pick me up? Why are you picking me up?"

Her voice was gentle, but it was filled with detachment, as if she were talking to a complete stranger.

He Qingzhao took a deep drag on his cigarette and said in a low voice, "Cheng Jiamo, are you kidding me?"
