Chapter 25 Wildness

Chapter 25 Wildness

Wu Wanqiu was startled by Jiang Changyi's words. "Changyi, didn't you tell us to stay home? It's so dangerous outside, why should we go out?"

"There are safer places. Xijiang University is a base for survivors." Jiang Changyi explained briefly and pulled them both away.

But when they saw the rows of corpses in the aisle, they screamed.

"Brother! Brother! You...you killed someone?!"

Jiang Changsi was just a little girl in her third year of high school. The monsters that appeared outside were beyond her psychological endurance, not to mention the bloody corpses.

Hearing their screams, Jiang Changyi remembered that there were still many things he had not told them. So he decided not to leave in a hurry for the time being, otherwise something might go wrong along the way.

Strangely, when Jiang Changsi saw the wild child at the door, he actually took him back home.

Jiang Changyi frowned and asked her, "Do you know this person?"

Wu Wanqiu: "This child lives with an old lady who picks up rubbish in our community. He usually follows her around."

Jiang Changsi rushed to say, "Brother, he's not a bad guy! Just now when those bad guys outside wanted to rush in, he rushed in front to protect us!"

This sentence made Jiang Changyi take a serious look at the wild child. The wound on his face was indeed very serious. Seeing how he had just desperately tried to stop him, it was likely that those beasts had definitely not shown any mercy when they beat him.

Thinking of this, Jiang Changyi's attitude towards him softened a little.

"Okay, let's ignore him for now and put his story aside."

First, there was the death of the group of people outside.

"We can't go back to the world we once were. At least not in the short term. We can't go back to the well-ordered and peaceful society we once were."

"Now is the end of the world. There are no laws to restrain us, only the desire to survive. In such a world, people will do anything to survive. For example, these people realized the collapse of order before you did, and were more willing to accept the breaking of shackles than you. That's why they dared to rob and pillage so unscrupulously."

"If I don't kill them, it will be my whole family that will die."

After the experience of having the door knocked on just now, the fear in Wu Wanqiu and Jiang Changsi's hearts made them accept Jiang Changyi's words more quickly.

"Alas... the world is so unfair!"

Wu Wanqiu was very sad. She thought that as long as her children grew up healthily, life would get better and better. However, the end of the world suddenly happened.

Jiang Changyi frowned. He knew full well, "The world is never fair. We can only control the dice of fate with our own strength. Perhaps the arrival of the end of the world will give us more opportunities to seize the opportunities that belong to us."

Over the past decade, Jiang Changyi has long been disgusted with the filthiness of his life.

Jiang Changyi had no idea how many people he had seen, like Bai Zhenzhen, who looked down on others and Peng Pai, who despised the poor and loved the rich. Faced with such contempt and injustice, he could either swallow his anger or laugh it off with self-mockery.

But……

Why?

We have done nothing and have not hurt anyone, yet we are being targeted by so many irrelevant people.

The end of the world is coming, awakening and evolution, survivor base, reshaping of rules, all of these are opportunities for them to change their destiny.

However, such an opportunity would bring about a disaster that is almost devastating to mankind.

"Without destruction, there is no construction. I believe I can do it."

Jiang Changyi finally had the opportunity to express the ambitions that he had been holding back for the past few days.

Wu Wanqiu didn't say anything.

She was already old, and except for that divorce, she had never had the courage to start over. Her only wish was that Jiang Changyi and Jiang Changsi could grow up safely and healthily.

But she believed in Jiang Changyi. This child had been strong and sensible since childhood. Sometimes she couldn't help but rely on Jiang Changyi's maturity.

So she respected Jiang Changyi's ideas and was willing to support him no matter what he did.

Although Jiang Changsi is still young, she, like Jiang Changyi, is also full of anger.

"Brother, I understand what you mean! We won't hold you back!"

Jiang Changsi's big eyes were clearly filled with the stubbornness that befitted his age.

Jiang Changyi rubbed Jiang Changsi's head and said, "Sisi has grown up, but there is nothing that can hold her back. We are a family, and only by uniting together can we move forward safely and steadily."

After explaining everything, Jiang Changyi asked the mother and daughter to pack their things and put on their backpacks, and then he prepared to take them away.

"By the way, brother, this group of bad guys have accomplices!" Jiang Changsi reminded belatedly.

"It doesn't matter."

Chu Yesheng is guarding outside.

Seeing the wild child following them, Jiang Changyi asked him: "Although I am very grateful that you helped my family, but...aren't you going to find your family?"

"She's dead."

The wild child's words were concise and to the point, but the emotions in his eyes were extremely complex.

Jiang Changyi could imagine how much pain he was feeling, but he didn't know what to say to comfort him.

Jiang Changsi grabbed Jiang Changyi's sleeve and asked in a low voice: "Brother...can we take him with us? He's really not a bad person."

As an older brother, it was difficult for Jiang Changyi to refuse Jiang Changsi's request.

He walked forward and met the wild child's eyes.

"What's your name, kid?"

The wild child actually shook his head.

Jiang Changyi frowned: "What do you mean?"

"I don't have a name."

The wild child's voice was deep, yet carried a hint of youthful astringency, like a crisp green peach, which was both crisp and sour when you took a bite.

He had lived with an old lady who picked up garbage since he was a child. He probably had no education or socialization training, so he spoke so briefly and paused from time to time.

Jiang Changyi felt a little headache. How could he be held responsible if something happened to such an ignorant child?

"Will you leave with us?"

The wild child's eyes were as deep as the lightless seabed, looking straight into Jiang Changyi's eyes, and his brows inexplicably gave off a wildness that was as calm as a thousand rivers.

For some reason, Jiang Changyi always felt that this look was very similar to his former self.

Seeing that the wild kid nodded in agreement, Jiang Changyi told him to remember the precautions he had just mentioned, otherwise he would throw him out of the car.

After making sure that the wild kid understood, Jiang Changyi opened the door again and led his men away.

Chu Yesheng was standing at the stairs wiping his dagger, and there were several bodies lying on the steps below. Without exception, all of them were killed by a single blow.

This group of thugs were not fools. Seeing that Chu Yesheng was so strong, they didn't even have the courage to fight. They were so scared that they fled in a hurry without leaving even a trace.

The two looked at each other and then went downstairs together.
