Chapter 105 Change of Heart

"Who dares to disturb my peaceful slumber!" A rough male voice rang out from under the roof. After a pause, the voice immediately changed tone, "So it's Yu'er. You've finally arrived. I've missed you so much."

The arrogant and greasy name "Yu'er" ignited a surge of anger in Su Sanhu's heart.

But under the tiles, the figure in sky blue didn't struggle at all, letting the man pull her from the doorway to the bed. "Yu'er, look quickly, this young master bought you fabric from the best cloth shop in Qingshui County, the latest style of cloud brocade, do you like it? I specially paid someone to queue for several days to buy it."

"Thank you, Young Master Meng. Yu'er likes it very much."

"If you like it, that's good. Make me a few more beautiful clothes to wear when the time comes. Remember... don't forget the bellybands too, one of each color, hehehe."

"Young Master Meng is so annoying, we're not even married yet."

"Whether we get married or not, you'll be mine sooner or later! If it weren't for my old man insisting on this snail recipe, would we have had to wait until now? And you wouldn't be able to go and flirt with other men. You're not allowed to see that poor bastard Su Sanhu again, understand?"

"What are you saying, Young Master Meng? Su Sanhu and I have never even held hands."

"really?"

"Hmph, of course it's true. Young Master Meng, do you not believe me?"

"I trust no one but Yu'er, good Yu'er, quickly help me apply some ointment there, it hurts so much, remember to be gentle this time."

"Hmm, is this pressure alright...?"

The woman's silvery voice, tinged with a hint of coquettishness, mingled with the man's muffled groans, each sound like a thunderclap striking Su Sanhu's heart.

His hands were clenched into fists at his sides, the veins on his fists bulging.

His eyes were completely bloodshot.

Her gaze was fixed on the two figures that were gradually becoming entangled under the roof. The sky-blue dress had long since fallen to the ground. All the past events now felt like a series of resounding slaps to her face.

"Hey, whose son are you? Why are you sleeping in the mountains of our Xiahe Village, and in such a deep pit? Come home with me quickly, I'll cook you some porridge."

"Su San, you're really funny. Remember to come visit me in Xiahe Village often in the future."

"Su San, these are dumplings I specially made today, with your favorite rabbit meat filling. Happy birthday!"

"Brother Sanhu, I love you."

"Brother Sanhu, when I come of age, will you come and marry me..."

Each sound, each word, mingled with the coquettish complaints from under the eaves, filling my ears.

"Hahahahaha..." The boy chuckled, tears sliding down his cheeks and landing on his clenched fists. His blurred vision made it hard for him to see clearly, but the increasingly loud noise made him unable to stand any longer.

Why bother?

If you've changed your mind, just say so.

Why bother treating Su Sanhu like a fool and making fun of him?

All that talk about a twenty-tael dowry, being forced into marriage by his parents, his younger brother needing tuition for school, and being able to choose between the snail recipe and the dowry—it was all a lie.

The swaying bundle on his back seemed to mock his infatuation.

And you even went to Southeast Asia for someone else?

It's a complete joke!

"Hua'er, tell me, do I deserve to be played like this?"

Su Hua saw his red eyes and felt a pang of sadness in her heart.

She was also caught off guard by the scene in the room. If it weren't for the scent of medicine she smelled yesterday, and the recent dramatic change in Liang Siyu's clothing, she would never have guessed that Liang Siyu and Meng Fu had any connection.

After all, she was the one who stepped on Meng Fu's legs to cause the injury, and she knew very well that the only way to heal it was to apply medicine to the wound.

However, she thought that at most Liang Siyu had visited the Liang family, but she did not expect that the two of them had almost reached a home run except for the last step.

Moreover, it's clear from their conversation that all of this is related to the recipe for snails.

Compared to Liu Jinhua's own inspiration for making spicy stir-fried snails, the Meng family seemed like complete thieves.

She couldn't help but think to herself, "Could the Meng family's wealth over the past three years have also been stolen?"

The sound from the roof tiles finally caught the attention of the two people inside.

The woman's giggles abruptly stopped, her voice tinged with fear. "Young Master Meng, did you hear anything just now? Didn't you say that Yun'er and Uncle were going to the county today? Is there someone else at home... ah..."

Before she could finish speaking, it was as if someone had suddenly covered her mouth.

Despite his greasy voice, his enthusiasm remained undiminished. "It's alright, there's no one else breathing here except the two of us. Don't be afraid, my dear Yu'er. Quick, let me apply another layer of ointment for your brother Fu..."

Su Hua looked down at the scene below, a cold glint flashing in her almond-shaped eyes.

After all, they had met once, and with the younger sister stealing the husband and the older brother stealing the wife, it was a rare "double-grabbing" relationship.

It would be inexcusable to come all this way without bringing a gift.

"Third Brother, you go first." Su Hua glanced at Su Sanhu beside her, and seeing that he didn't move, she simply picked him up and carried him to the roof tiles on another side of the house.

He turned around, raised his hand and covered the roof tiles of Meng Fu's room, silently saying "Stop".

In the blink of an eye, entire sections of tiles vanished without a trace.

Suddenly, everything went white before Liang Siyu and Meng Fu's eyes. Upon closer inspection, they found that there was no roof over their heads; everything was shrouded in mist.

Both eyes, all four eyes, simultaneously turned terrified.

Before the two could react, a dark object came crashing down on them.

Some crashed onto them, others slammed into the ground, a series of shattering sounds echoing in their ears, and the two of them simultaneously howled like wolves.
