Chapter 230 Xiao Jinhan plays straight ball

As soon as she stepped out of the space, all she could see was a bloody mess. She wondered what this stinking snake ate. Su Hua felt a strong stench of decay filling her nostrils and eyes, making it impossible to breathe.

She pinched her nose and strained her ears to try and hear what was happening outside the viper enclosure, but before she could hear any human voices, she felt the viper enclosure shake violently as if the ground were trembling.

She was shaken so badly that she slammed into the viper's stomach wall.

"Ouch!"

Upon hearing the voice, Xiao Jinhan's bleeding fist suddenly froze, and a glimmer of light suddenly ignited in his crimson eyes. "Hua'er, are you in there? Hua'er, Hua'er..."

Upon hearing the sound, Su Hua's movements, which were churning inside the mother viper's stomach, instantly froze.

He actually came?!

Although neither the original owner nor she had ever been to Southern Xinjiang, they knew that Shanghe Village and Southern Xinjiang were separated by thousands of mountains and rivers. He actually made the round trip in less than three days. Did this man have superhuman speed?

To be honest, even a lightning bolt might not be as fast as him.

Seeing that there was no more movement in the giant snake's belly, Xiao Jinhan assumed that Su Hua was not in good condition inside. His fist, which had been paused, tightened even more, and he punched the snake's head hard again. "Beast, spit out Hua'er now, or I'll make sure you die a horrible death..."

"Young Master Xiao, I'm fine!" Su Hua quickly responded when she saw the snake's body about to writhe again.

“I’m inside the snake’s belly, here…”

As she spoke, she covered her fist with the remaining piece of oil paper, gathered her strength, and thrust it upwards.

Under Xiao Jinhan's repeated heavy punches, the female viper was already barely breathing and had lost all of her initial arrogance. Now, with Su Hua suddenly stirring her stomach and intestines, she was in so much pain that she was grimacing on the spot.

Xiao Jinhan, who was standing to the side, noticed the protrusion on the mother viper's head, and his scarlet eyes finally cleared a little. "Hua'er, don't be afraid, I'll get you out of here right now."

"Yes, I'm not afraid."

Su Hua pinched her nose and nodded.

If being with Yu Feng was a nerve-wracking experience, even the spatial enhancements weren't very helpful, but now, upon hearing Xiao Jinhan's voice, for some reason, that half-hearted feeling seemed to immediately subside.

Knowing Su Hua's location, Xiao Jinhan dared not waste any more time. He quickly took out the dagger strapped to his calf and slashed the mother viper at its vital spot, completely severing its life force.

Immediately, he took the dagger and slid it towards the protrusion he had just seen.

The mother viper's body was covered in black and white scales that were incredibly hard and impervious to swords and blades. Even a dagger that could cut through iron like mud would only leave a dent in it, while the snakeskin beneath the scales remained completely undamaged.

Having no other choice, Xiao Jinhan had to use a dagger to pry off the scales bit by bit.

He moved quickly and gently, prying at the same time while reassuring Su Hua, "Hua'er, don't be afraid, just bear with it a little longer, it will be over soon..."

As Su Hua listened to the man's repeated admonitions, she suddenly felt a pang of unease. She wasn't actually that afraid; it was him who was so calm and composed, unfazed even by the collapse of mountains and the trembling of the earth. But now, he was acting like an immature boy, his voice even trembling slightly. If it weren't for the fact that his voice hadn't changed, she probably wouldn't have recognized him.

Amidst a continuous series of clanging sounds, a glimmer of light finally appeared amidst the overwhelming crimson expanse before our eyes.

She slightly raised her almond-shaped eyes, which met the man's gaze.

These eyes, unlike their usual calm and still deep pools, were reddish in the backlight, with shimmering pupils and swollen, red circles around them.

"What's wrong with you...?"

Su Hua was speaking when she suddenly fell into the man's broad embrace. The next moment, she felt her whole body being tightly held, and she could hear the rapid beating of his heart.

The tightly clenched hands seemed to be trembling incessantly.

After a long while, she was already breathless from the man's embrace. "Young Master Xiao, please let go for a moment..."

Upon hearing this, the man quickly released the girl from his arms, wiped his eyes, and said, "I'm sorry, I hurt you. Are you feeling unwell anywhere? Did this beast hurt you? I'll take you down the mountain to find a doctor right now..."

As he spoke, his eyes reddened as he looked the girl up and down, and then he swept her up in his arms.

This time, however, his movements were extremely gentle, as if he were holding a fragile treasure.

Su Hua was caught off guard. By the time she realized what was happening, her cheek was already pressed tightly against the man's neck. Before her eyes was his prominent Adam's apple, and above that, his perfectly defined jawline and wheat-colored skin. Combined with the man's cold and stern expression, the abstinence was instantly amplified to the extreme. Even someone as thick-skinned as her couldn't help but blush for a moment. "You...you put me down. I'm heavy, and I'm dirty."

"I won't let go." The words had barely left her mouth when the man shook his head in refusal. "Hua'er isn't heavy at all, and she's not dirty either."

Upon hearing this, Su Hua's cheeks flushed even more.

This man, when he gets straight to the point, can be deadly.

Just as Xiao Jinhan was about to carry Su Hua down the cliff.

A series of earth-shaking roars surged down from above.

"Roar! Roar! Roar! Roar!"

"Meow!! Meow!!! Meow..."

Su Hua looked up and saw four white tigers of different sizes standing on the edge of the cliff, staring intently at their area. The big tiger next to the mother tiger looked particularly ferocious, its furry face already wrinkled like withered tree bark.

Su Hua then realized that none of the tiger family members, except for Da Bai, had ever met Xiao Jinhan. And Da Bai, that unreliable fellow, was now riding on the mother tiger's back, pointing at Xiao Jinhan with his little paws and meowing incessantly, whether on purpose or because he had genuinely forgotten. It didn't look like he was saying anything nice.

Hearing the meows, the three tigresses looked at Xiao Jinhan with even more hostility.

Xiao Jinhan, who had calmed down, looked at this scene and his face immediately darkened. "This brat's family is actually in cahoots with this beast!"

Su Hua: "..."

This misunderstanding seems a bit big.

But the man was incredibly fast. He lightly touched the rocks with his toes, the mountain wind whistled past his ears, and in the blink of an eye, he was on top of the cliff.

The four tigers stared at each other, wide-eyed.

"Hua'er, hold me tight. Let me deal with these guys first, then we'll go down the mountain." Su Hua saw the man's right hand outstretched, and finally came to her senses, quickly stopping him.

"Young Master Xiao, please wait. The Da Bai family is not with those snakes. I just went down to pick some Red Cloud Flowers, and they are still guarding me up here!"

After saying that, she took out the Red Cloud Flower from her sleeve and handed it to Xiao Jinhan as if presenting a treasure. Her almond-shaped eyes were full of smiles. "Look, this is the Red Cloud Flower that we have been looking for. We have finally found it today. Now we are one step closer to curing your poison."

The flowers are bright red all over, except for the heart which is pure gold. Their fragrance and appearance are no less than those of the spring orchid, Loushan red or the ten-foot hanging curtain orchid.

But to Xiao Jinhan, it was an eyesore, and her throat tightened. "Why are you so stupid? You'd risk your life for such a worthless flower."
