"It's me."

This voice sounds so familiar.

It’s Xu Xing.

Li Zhaoyue looked at him happily, a little confused about the situation.

Why did Xu Xing suddenly become a different person?

"Senior sister, look at this." Xu Xing said as he took out a talisman paper from his sleeve. The special thing was that the base of the talisman paper was white, and the crimson brushstrokes on the pale paper looked like freshly splashed blood.

Li Zhaoyue instinctively felt uncomfortable and looked away.

"This talisman paper can conceal aura and change a person into a completely different appearance. Sister, don't you always want to go out and play? Why not give it a try?" The smile on Xu Xing's face was too harmless, and his tone was also very normal, as if he was explaining a very ordinary thing.

But the thing.

Li Zhaoyue was a little hesitant.

Although her master and Xie Feng were very strict with her and she really wanted to go out and play, would it be dangerous to use this method?

Seeing her worried expression, Xu Xing's smile deepened.

"Don't worry, Senior Sister. Although I'm a new disciple, I was able to deal with spirits before, and I will definitely protect you now. Besides, we're just going to the town at the foot of the mountain to have some fun. There won't be any danger."

"But……"

Li Zhaoyue was still hesitating.

"Don't you think you don't trust me, Senior Sister?" Xu Xing pretended to be sad and said in a trembling voice.

"No, no!" Li Zhaoyue shook her head repeatedly. After a moment, she sighed and said helplessly, "I believe you. Let's go."

Xu Xing smiled and gently placed the talisman against her skin. In a moment, Li Zhaoyue transformed into an ordinary girl in linen clothes.

"Let's go." He smiled brightly.

Xu Xing did not lie. He took Li Zhaoyue out of Yiziyuan and strolled on the street outside the courtyard.

Li Zhaoyue was like a butterfly throughout the whole process, flying here and there, having a lot of fun.

There weren't many vendors on the street, fewer than in any other city Xu Xing had ever seen. Perhaps it was because Li Zhaoyue rarely went out, and everything seemed so new to him.

She was watching in front, and Xu Xing was following slowly behind.

The two walked to a stall selling bracelets. Li Zhaoyue squinted her eyes and searched among the colorful bracelets for a long time, and finally found one that was barely acceptable.

Xu Xing just walked to the stall, and Li Zhaoyue showed him the bracelet she had chosen.

The style is nice, but you can clearly see that the gold color is painted on.

"The style is nice, but it would be better if it was made of gold." Li Zhaoyue muttered, wanting to put it back but feeling reluctant.

The stall owner's face froze when he heard this.

He runs a small business, how can he use gold? Wouldn't that be a loss?

Wait, he narrowed his eyes and looked carefully at Li Zhaoyue's appearance.

He looks familiar, a bit like the one from Yiziyuan...

"Wait, you are..." The boss was interrupted by Xu Xing.

"Boss, then this is it." Xu Xing stared at the boss with his light brown eyes. An inexplicable force strangled his throat and he couldn't speak.

Xu Xing paid the money and walked forward, pulling Li Zhaoyue's sleeve.

Li Zhaoyue put the bracelet in her small bag and rubbed her eyes sleepily.

Was it her illusion? Why did the scenery in front of her begin to shake?

Xu Xing suddenly lowered his head, and his light brown eyes stared at her closely, giving her the illusion that she was about to be sucked in.

"you……"

She wanted to ask Xu Xing why he wanted to see her, but her head suddenly started to hurt severely.

Everything in front of her eyes began to blur, and in a trance, she seemed to see her own face on Xu Xing's face.

But this strange blur was interrupted by another force.

The silver thread on Xu Xing's wrist suddenly vibrated violently, with such force that even Li Zhaoyue next to him could feel it.

"What's wrong..." She suddenly widened her eyes, quickly pulled Xu Xing's sleeve, and stood in front of him.

Black air surged around them, time and space were distorted, and a monster whose face could not be seen tore through the space and slowly approached where the two were.

Affected by the black energy emitted by the monster, Li Zhaoyue became a little confused.

Xu Xing stood behind her, staring at the unknown monster.

Although he has the aura of a spirit, he is not a spirit.

What is that?

I really didn't expect that Li Zhaoyue really had a secret.

His mind was preoccupied with this novel discovery, so he naturally didn't notice that the monster's greedy eyes moved from Li Zhaoyue to him.

"Take my longevity lock and go out to the inner layer of Yiziyuan to find my master, her name is Zhu Ming." Li Zhaoyue was very calm at this time. She grabbed the longevity lock from around her neck and stuffed it into his hand.

The longevity lock fell into her palm, and her warm body temperature still remained on the metal outer layer.

Xu Xing didn't expect Li Zhaoyue to stand in front of him and let him go first. He was stunned for a moment.

And at this moment, the monster broke through Li Zhaoyue's talisman paper and slapped her with a palm.

The dazzling red splashed in the air, drawing a beautiful arc, and a few drops of blood splattered on his cheek.

Li Zhaoyue had blood on his lips and looked at him with burning eyes.

The small black mole between the eyebrows emitted a few strange lights.

She said, "Xu Xing, hurry up."

The boy's shocked eyes gradually became deep. After a moment, he turned around, hesitated for a moment, and then left quickly.

Xu walked away.

However, as soon as he left the space, a sword was pressed against his throat.

The sword was translucent white, engraved with numerous intricate scriptures, and possessed immense power. However, even as he placed it against his throat, he felt he was about to die.

Xu Xing looked up. Zhu Ming was dressed in purple. His indifferent eyes swept over the longevity lock tightly held in Xu Xing's hand and he asked coldly, "Where is Ah Yue?"

Xu Xing quickly told Zhu Ming what had happened. Zhu Ming frowned as he listened. Then the sword in his right hand flashed, a gap was opened in the space, and then he disappeared.

With Zhu Ming's departure, the suffocating feeling finally disappeared. Xu Xing slumped to the ground, breathing heavily, sweat pouring down his face like a waterfall. He picked up the longevity lock he was holding in his palm and smiled softly.

It was such a coincidence that I found a way to enter the inner layer so easily.

Xu Xing paused for a moment, then stood up again and headed towards Yiziyuan despite the curious gazes of the people around him.

On the way, I met the owner of the bracelet stall again. Seeing that he was alone, I asked enthusiastically, "Why is the girl who followed you gone?"

Xu Xing's fake smile froze on his face, and he lowered his eyes: "She has something to do, so she went back first."

The boss thought that the girl was really rich and wanted to persuade them to come often, but when he looked up again, he found that Xu Xing was gone.

This is his chance.

On the way back, Xu Xing repeatedly persuaded himself.

But the look in the girl's eyes before she left kept lingering in his mind.

"Xu Xing, hurry up."

The corners of her lips were stained with blood, and the corners of her eyes were filled with tears that overflowed from the pain of being beaten. They were half-lost and hung on her eyelashes, making her look very pitiful.

But she let him go first.

Xu Xing finally went back holding the longevity lock. When he reached the entrance of the street, Zhu Ming was already walking back holding the unconscious Li Zhaoyue.

Xu Xing paused in his forward steps and handed the longevity lock he was clutching tightly in his hand to Zhu Ming: "I'm here to return this."

The young man was tall and handsome, and he looked at her directly without being servile or arrogant.

Zhu Ming glanced at him expressionlessly, and said with a half-smile, "You were the one who brought Ah Yue out?"

When these words were spoken, the pressure from Zhu Ming made Xu Xing feel a little overwhelmed.

He gritted his teeth secretly, his face remained calm: "It's me."

"Good job." Zhu Ming seemed to sneer and looked at him meaningfully.

A flash of sword light passed by, and when he came to his senses, Zhu Ming had disappeared, and her cold voice was still echoing in his ears.

"Stay away from Ayue."

The impact of the sword energy brought by Zhu Ming was quite strong, and it took Xu Xing a long time to come back to his senses.

The longevity lock in his palm slowly grew cold, and the golden light made his eyes hurt.

He closed his eyes, and his mind uncontrollably recalled Li Zhaoyue's weak expression.

After a while, he walked back.

——Lixiangyuan

Xu Xing pushed open the door of the room, glanced at the man sitting at the table, and took off his outer robe.

The man sitting at the table was dressed in black and had an outstanding appearance. He smiled and picked up the teacup on the table. Just as he was about to taste it, it was knocked over by the silver thread.

The man lightly brushed off the tea with his paper-white fingers. He looked at Xu Xing with a smile and said, "Master asked me to help you."

"No need." Xu Xing changed his clothes and said lightly.

"Of course I shouldn't use it. I've been out for half a month and there's no news at all. Master is so worried." He spoke slowly and always had a malicious smile on his face, which made people irritated for no reason.

Xu Xing felt very disgusted in his heart, but he did not show it on his face. Instead, he smiled even more brightly than him.

"I met my senior sister at Yiziyuan yesterday." He stood by the window, blocking the moonlight, and looked a little gloomy.

The man's smile froze on his face.

"I find it very strange too. This mission isn't particularly popular, so why are you all trying to get involved?"

"But later I figured it out. I'm afraid there's something wrong with both of your bodies." At this point, Xu Xing showed his little canine tooth on the right side again, and laughed heartily.

"Yiziyuan has what you want, but you don't want Master to know, so you want to find a random excuse to stay here."

The man's face turned paler inch by inch.

"Am I right, Brother?"

*

Three days later

The sunlight fell on the slightly open window. In the white gauze curtain, the girl's black hair spread on the bed like a waterfall. There were still red marks on the tip of her nose from sleeping. She stretched out her two hands from the soft quilt and finally rubbed her eyes.

Li Zhaoyue struggled to get up from the bed and stared at the familiar bed in front of him, stunned for a moment.

Why is she back again?

She pulled the standing hair on her head and yawned, but out of the corner of her eye she saw Zhu Ming sitting by the bed polishing his sword.

She swallowed back the half-started yawn.

"Master..." She suddenly put away her lazy posture and sat up straight.

Zhu Mingbai glanced at her, sheathed the polished sword, and said, "Are you still pretending in front of me?"

Li Zhaoyue chuckled.
