Lightly wrap the red thread around your fingertips (2)
When Li Zhaoyue woke up, she saw darkness before her eyes. She jumped out of bed in frustration and stumbled forward.
Being locked up in this room for so long would be unbearable for anyone. After finally groping for a place that looked like a windowsill, the door slammed open.
The familiar aroma of cold tea wafted towards him, and Xu Xing's cold voice rang in his ears: "A Yue is being dishonest again."
Li Zhaoyue subconsciously took a step back. Then, she suddenly felt suspended in mid-air. Xu Xing picked her up and threw her onto the bed.
As soon as she touched the bed, she shrank into the corner. Her intuition told her that Xu Xing must be in a bad mood.
"Want to leave?" Xu Xing said with a smile. His tone was gentle, but Li Zhaoyue felt a chill run down her spine.
"Why are you forcing me?" Li Zhaoyue's face turned pale and she raised her voice. Xu Xing didn't say anything. She bit her lower lip and said, almost collapsing, "Your mother's death has been avenged. I've exchanged my life for another's. What else do you want?!"
This question almost exhausted all her strength. The boiling blood surged in her veins and rushed straight to her head. A ball of evil fire pressed down her chest, almost burning away her sanity.
Li Zhaoyue's clenched fists creaked, and it was obvious that he had reached the limit of his patience.
Xu Xing chuckled softly a few times, then suddenly asked, "Do you remember?"
"What?" Li Zhaoyue was stunned when he heard his incoherent words.
"I harmed you, brought your nemesis to you, and left you to die. Do you remember?" he whispered.
Upon hearing this, the rage in Li Zhaoyue's heart immediately ignited. He struggled and lunged forward, hitting Xu Xing in the chest.
There was only a loud bang, mixed with Xu Xing's muffled groan.
Before she could get out of bed, she was nailed to the spot by a powerful force.
"What can I do to make you obedient?" Xu Xing's sinister voice sounded.
The red string on her middle finger instantly stretched straight, and Li Zhaoyue fell forward, collapsing into a soft embrace. Xu Xing tightly gripped her waist, his gloomy eyes sweeping over her body, finally resting on her finger, which was bound by the red string.
"We are already married, I can't let you go."
"You're messing around!"
"Nonsense?!" he asked, then laughed softly, "I've been fooling around for so many years, it's not that bad now."
"Xu Xing, don't push me!"
Li Zhaoyue threatened him, but Xu Xing turned a deaf ear to her. He just brushed the light yellow hairband covering her eyes and smiled brightly: "Ayue always likes to ignore me."
"Anyway, in your eyes, I'm already an unforgivable lunatic. I don't mind doing something else to make you hate me even more."
After she finished speaking, Li Zhaoyue felt her chin being gently pinched, and an irresistible force forced her to raise her head. A warm breath hit her face, and she was startled. She struggled to step back, but the back of her head was suddenly held down.
The touch of soft lips, the gentle low moans, and the heat of their combined breaths made her head buzz and explode like fireworks.
A tingling and trembling sensation rose from her tailbone. She felt like she had been soaking in the sea for a long time. Her hands and feet were numb and soft.
But such tenderness eventually turned into a fierce bite. Xu Xing's hand on the back of her head suddenly tightened, and he stubbornly deepened the kiss. His hot breath infiltrated her body inch by inch, from her lips, chin, to her earlobe.
He was kissing her.
She realized this fact very clearly and felt like she was about to melt in such incredible heat.
He ended up just kissing her and didn't do anything else.
The room was silent, and Xu Xing's voice was particularly hoarse, as if he was suppressing something. Li Zhaoyue didn't dare to think too deeply about the source of this repression, and her heartbeat was almost jumping out of her chest.
"I won't let you go." He seemed possessed, repeating this sentence over and over again. Then Li Zhaoyue heard footsteps and the sound of a door closing.
Xu Xing went out and she was the only one left in the room.
"Stay here for a while. Now that you're missing, the people behind this will only get more anxious. We just need to wait and see." Yue Jinhuan's voice suddenly appeared, startling Li Zhaoyue. She subconsciously thought of what had just happened, and her face flushed so red that it almost bled.
Seeing that she didn't say anything, Yue Jinhuan was silent for a while, then said: "After you recover your strength, Xu Xing will be at your disposal. Anyway, his sins have been atoned for, and everything will be over soon."
Yue Jinhuan always mentioned the end, which sounded like everything was settled, but Li Zhaoyue always felt something was wrong. Every time she asked her what she meant, Yue Jinhuan always refused to say.
This time is no exception.
"I feel like I've changed a bit recently," Li Zhaoyue muttered, propping up his head and looking at the darkness before him. "With so many memories suddenly appearing, I feel like I've become a different person."
Yue Jinhuan smiled and said, "You always said that before, every time."
Hearing this, Li Zhaoyue asked in surprise, "Have I lost my memory before?"
Yue Jinhuan didn't answer her question, but just kept talking to himself: "Human life is so short. If a god wants to walk freely in this world, there must always be a price to pay."
She was speaking in a foggy manner, something completely incomprehensible. Li Zhaoyue shook her head helplessly and tried to struggle, but couldn't get her hands free, so she gave up.
Li Zhaoyue closed his eyes, and many memories related to Ah Xu flashed through his mind. He asked, "You should know Xu Xing, right? He is Ah Xu, right?"
This time, Yue Jinhuan's voice was tinged with anger as he replied, "Yes. But he betrayed you."
Li Zhaoyue recalled the anger in his dream and forced a wry smile: "You see, we really have a lot of enemies. But I really don't understand."
She lowered her head and said, "Why did you hurt me before and come to me again now?"
She had already exchanged her life for another, avenging his mother's grievances, so why wouldn't he let her go? Li Zhaoyue felt an indescribable bitterness in his heart, and the emotions he had suppressed for the past few days surged back like a tidal wave.
She leaned tiredly against the bed and gradually fell asleep.
At this moment, the First Sun Sword in his arms also emitted a faint glow.
Li Zhaoyue opened his eyes and found himself pulled back into the mirrored space. Standing before him was the woman he had met last time. She happily circled around him a few times, excitedly saying, "I finally see you again."
"I hope you are well."
This time, the mist surrounding the woman had dissipated considerably, and her figure could be vaguely seen. She seemed to be wearing a red gauze dress. Her eyes were even more pure and innocent.
She giggled several times, then suddenly approached Li Zhaoyue mysteriously and asked, "Do you know how to get out of here?"
There was an inexplicable familiarity about her. Li Zhaoyue searched her memory several times but still couldn't remember who she was, so she shook her head. Unexpectedly, the woman raised her hand, placed it affectionately on her shoulder, and said coquettishly, "We are good friends, can you tell me?"
"I've been in this place for a long time. I don't like it here. Can you help me and take me out?"
Li Zhaoyue's head ached from the noise. She rubbed her sore temples and turned away. The woman in red danced around her several times, muttering to herself as she went.
Li Zhaoyue felt a headache and was a little confused.
Maybe this person was too noisy and disturbed her.
"You must know a way out." The woman said firmly.
After saying this, Li Zhaoyue felt upset and the only thought in his mind was to leave.
"Take me out, take me out quickly."
"go out."
"go out."
Li Zhaoyue felt her mind was in a mess. She shook her head and was about to take out the compass from her waist. Unexpectedly, the woman was sharp-eyed and noticed her action at a glance, snatching the compass from Li Zhaoyue's hand.
She didn't react when her compass was snatched away. It was not until the woman laughed and rushed away that Li Zhaoyue finally woke up.
"Give it back to me." Li Zhaoyue's face changed drastically, and he stretched out his palm to hit the woman in red.
This person had a strange fragrance on him that could subtly interfere with people's thoughts. Just now, this person deliberately patted Li Zhaoyue's shoulder to cast an illusion on her. Li Zhaoyue fell into the illusion and was unknowingly led by her to take out the compass, which gave this person an opportunity to take advantage of her.
The woman giggled and deftly manipulated the compass, creating a fissure in the space. She turned around, tossed the compass to Li Zhaoyue, and smiled, "Thank you for the compass. See you next time!"
After saying that, he disappeared into the crack. Li Zhaoyue reacted quickly and flew after it just as the crack was about to close.
Time and space were distorted inside the crack, and the sky was spinning. Li Zhaoyue was chasing the red figure, but was accidentally swept up by a turbulence of time and space, and slipped into another black crack.
A flash of white light passed before his eyes, followed by the smell of rain and the stench of rotting corpses. Li Zhaoyue stared blankly at the scattered corpses before him, his mind stopping for a moment.
Where is she now?
The compass can connect to the Tree of Destiny, but if a gap in space is forcibly created, no one knows where it will go, not to mention that she was swept in by the spatial turbulence.
As she paused, the stench of decay intensified, and she finally began to take in the scene before her. The torrential rain had washed away the surface soil, leaving blood and decaying flesh scattered across the ground. At first glance, the uneven ground was actually a collection of skeletons.
This is a mass grave.
She took a few steps back, accidentally stepping on a pair of hands and quickly running away. It was a relatively intact body, with only a large hole in the chest. The rest of the body was intact, even the skin was still elastic.
The body was small, looking no more than a teenager, and its face was peaceful, as if it had simply fallen asleep. But Li Zhaoyue cried out in fear.
This person is clearly Xu Xing!
So she had come to... the past?
After the shock subsided, Li Zhaoyue cautiously took a few steps forward, picked up a stone next to the corpse, and threw it far away. In just a moment, the stone reappeared in the same place.
After repeating this several times, no matter what means she used, the stone would return to its original place.
It seems that this is a memory of the past.
It is Xu Xing’s memory.
