Chapter 26 Amusement Park
After finishing his meal, Taiyang picked up the coat draped behind the chair. Just as he was about to put it on, the phone rang. He had just answered it, and before he could say anything, the other party was already eagerly explaining. Taiyang paused before nodding: "It's okay, you guys can go ahead and do whatever you want. We'll see each other again someday."
After hanging up the phone within a minute, Jing Rong asked, "Is that the band you mentioned?"
"Well, they said they had a charity performance and were rehearsing, so they couldn't come to meet us." After explaining, Taiyang looked at Jingrong with some concern, "You're not angry, are you?"
"I don't need to get angry over such a small matter. Besides, there's nothing we can do about this kind of force majeure."
"I'm just worried about wasting time, since you've been quite busy."
"We have to prioritize. If he is a real talent, it won't be considered a waste of time." Jing Rong smiled, looking quite free and easy.
Taiyang nodded in agreement. "Well said! They won't let you down."
"I hope so." Jing Rong also put on his coat and asked, "Where are we going next?"
"I thought it would take a long time. I don't have anything planned this afternoon and evening." Sun spread his hands.
"Me too."
"How about going out to play together?"
"What are you playing?"
"Follow me and you'll find out." Taiyang smiled mysteriously and took the lead in striding to the door of the box. Jingrong smiled slightly and followed his pace. Halfway there, Taiyang stretched out his hand to Jingrong and said, "Give me the car keys."
Jingrong thought that Taeyang was so mysterious that he would take her to some high-end occasion, but she was shocked when she got there. Did you know that Taeyang, the national idol-level member of Big Bang, thought that a good place was actually an amusement park. Bro, did you lack a childhood?
Jing Rong thought that Yang Yang lacked a childhood, so she said nothing and was ready to sacrifice her life for the gentleman. In fact, she had some complicated feelings about the amusement park. If she had not gone to the amusement park with her childhood friend to regain her childhood innocence and ride the roller coaster, she would not have opened her eyes and found that she had changed from a Chinese girl with a bright future to a Korean girl.
But in reality, Sun brought Jingrong to the amusement park not because he himself lacked innocence, but because Jingrong clearly lacked it. To save his friend's wounded heart, Sun took a rare day off and risked being discovered by reporters to bring Jingrong to this place. In this place where things could get broken into at any moment, Sun was really risking his life to save his friend! But from another perspective, the two of them were indeed on the same page, a telepathic connection. Neither of them showed any sign of it, but for the sake of the other, they pretended to be extremely interested and having a blast, which gave each of them a subtle sense of accomplishment. Ah, so he/she really lacked innocence, and he/she was truly the epitome of a Lei Feng!
After getting off the roller coaster, Jing Rong sat down on a bench beside the grass, slightly out of breath. The sun was too bright, and Yang Yang never took off his sunglasses. He stood in front of Jing Rong with his hands in his pockets and said, "I'll go buy some drinks. What do you want?"
"Ice water will do."
The sun frowned. "It's not summer yet, why drink ice water? Why not try something else?"
Jing Rong frowned slightly, and was about to discuss the issue of idol recuperation with Taiyang. Although it was just the two of them now, but big brother, you are a national idol, is it really okay for you to be so fussy? But just as Jing Rong was about to speak, the phone rang at the right time. She took a look, and the smile in her eyes instantly faded. She nodded to Taiyang and said, "Then I'll do the same as you."
"Okay, you wait here." Although the sun was gentle, it was not so delicate as to pay attention to every look of his friends. He nodded and turned to walk to the door, intentionally or unintentionally leaving Jing Rong time to answer the phone.
"good afternoon."
"Honey, where are you?" The delicate little voice was a little hoarse, but the upturned ending still showed that the owner was in a good mood at the moment.
Jing Rong paused, and with an expressionless face, he managed to squeeze out a gentle voice: "Guess?"
Quan Zhilong could never have guessed that his girlfriend was having fun with her friends at this time. He didn't really want to ask about Jingrong's whereabouts, probably because he thought he wouldn't go anywhere else except for work. Quan Zhilong changed the subject: "I was sick and you didn't come to see me." The grievance was obvious in his childish voice.
"Sick? What happened? Have you seen a doctor?"
Quan Zhilong could hear a hint of anxiety in Jingrong's businesslike tone. He was very pleased with Jingrong's subtle concern. The corners of his mouth raised, and his tone became more complaining: "I have a cold. I just took some medicine. I don't want to go to the hospital. I miss you."
After about two seconds of silence, Jing Rong checked the time and asked, "Where are you now?"
"Just returned to the dormitory from the company."
"Are you okay later? I'll come find you."
"Okay, I'll wait for you."
Jing Rong hung up the phone, rubbed his temples with a headache, leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes for a while, then suddenly opened his eyes and saw the boy walking on the sunshine. All the scenery blurred in an instant, and Jing Rong's clean and clear pupils were full of the reflection of a person. His steps were neither big nor small, neither fast nor slow, but he stepped on the rhythm, like dancing, and every step stepped on the feeling in her heart, ups and downs.
Sun also sensed something and looked up to see Jingrong's face stripped of all disguise. For the first time, his delicate face was wearing such a pure expression, and a smile was clearly visible in his eyes. Sun waved at her, and her white teeth were clearly visible, each one round and smooth like a gleaming pearl. Jingrong also smiled unobstructedly with him, and some things became clearer. She stood up, as if she had experienced a life intertwined with fast and slow shots. The first half of the journey seemed to have taken half a century, and the second half was just a blink of an eye. Sun was already standing in front of Jingrong, handing her the milk: "This is better for girls."
Even the straw was carefully inserted. Jing Rong took it, took a sip, and said, "Thank you."
Life always likes to play jokes on you, and you don’t know whether this joke is good or not. Jing Rong met the right person at the wrong time, but she didn’t feel sad, because this was the thing she hated so much. It was her only consolation, but that was all. There was no need to linger on it even if she was comforted again.
After a short break, Taiyang sat down next to Jingrong and asked, "What do you want to play next?"
"What do you want to play?"
"Ah, no..." Maybe Jing Rong asked too quickly. She took over the conversation almost as soon as Yang Yang finished speaking. This made Yang Yang think that she was bothered by the way he spoke. He hurriedly explained, "What I mean is, you've been playing with me for so long. Is there anything you want to play next?"
Although he didn't quite understand why Taiyang had to emphasize the fact that he was "playing with him" for no reason, Jingrong still gave a smooth answer: "How about we go ride the Ferris wheel? I've never ridden a Ferris wheel with boys my age before."
"Okay, let's go." Taiyang stood up and asked, "Do you want to buy something to eat first? I'm afraid you'll be bored sitting up there."
"You seem to be very experienced?" Jing Rong said with a half-smile.
Taiyang shifted his gaze away from her uncomfortably and explained, "No, I've never sat with a girl either... I heard this from Zhi, ah, Seungri..." Because of his nervousness, he almost betrayed his best friend. Although Taiyang changed his words in time, he was not sure whether Jingrong really didn't notice, so he kept glancing at Jingrong while speaking.
Jing Rong didn't care much. She walked in front of the sun and said, "That sounds reasonable. Let's go pick some snacks together."
As the Ferris wheel reached the top, they happened to see a brilliant sunset. A vast expanse of brilliant colors spread across the sky. It was even more breathtakingly beautiful when viewed from high above. Jing Rong was leaning against the window when she suddenly thought of something. She turned around and smiled at the sun. In that instant, that smile was more moving than any other scenery. As if possessed by a magician, the sun casually took a picture of this touching scene with his mobile phone. Afterwards, he held up his phone and smiled like a child, asking, "What were you about to say just now?"
Jing Rong turned her head and glanced out the window. This time, she wasn't looking at the sky, but at most of the playground. Then she looked away and became her calm and composed self again. Jing Rong frowned, looking very heavy. Yang Yang, who had just asked casually, became curious and asked again, "What do you want to say?"
Jing Rong said seriously: "I'm thinking about it."
After a half-second of silence, Taiyang finally realized he had been fooled. He looked at Jingrong with a mixture of laughter and tears. The Ferris wheel completely stopped turning. Jingrong stood up first and said, "It's time to go back."
There was no sunset, taking away the brilliant sunset glow. Suddenly I thought of a word: the song ends and the people disperse.
But even if Jing Rong wanted to leave, he couldn't do so now. After leaving the playground, Jing Rong asked, "Where are we going next?"
"Let's go back to the dormitory." Taiyang looked at his watch and smiled at Jingrong. "No need to send me off. I can just take a taxi back."
"It's on our way." Jing Rong raised her hand, and the car lights not far away flashed. She turned around and motioned Taiyang to follow her.
Taeyang paused, then remembered and asked, "Are you going to look for Jiyong? But Jiyong is also in the dormitory now?"
Jing Rong nodded, threw the car keys to Taiyang without any hesitation, opened the passenger seat and sat in.
