Chapter 8 The Wind Rises (1/2)

Chapter 8 The Wind Rises

A woman suddenly appeared where Lin Shiyi and the other two were sitting. She was about 27 or 28 years old, still graceful. Her every step and twist of the body perfectly set off her plump figure.

"Who are you?" Lin Shiyi was sure that he didn't know the woman in front of him. Could she be Jiang Xue's friend?

"Don't get me wrong. I was watching you two talking about music companies and listened a few more times out of curiosity. I didn't mean to eavesdrop."

The woman smiled and said, "Can I sit here?"

She pointed across from Lin Shiyi's desk.

"Can."

"Thank you." The woman said frankly, "Are you two going to join a music company?"

"Yeah." Lin Shiyi answered indifferently.

"Is there any place to go?" The woman picked up a flower and smiled.

"The interviews were not very ideal." Lin Shiyi shook his head.

"Is it because of plagiarism?" the woman continued to ask.

Lin Shiyi didn't say anything. This time it was Jiang Xue's turn to speak: "Teacher Lin was framed. The people of Chuxing want to make Teacher Lin infamous!"

"Whether it's a false accusation or not, your teacher has indeed become a rat crossing the street that everyone wants to beat in the music circle in just one day." The woman spoke quickly.

Jiang Xue opened her mouth to retort, but was interrupted by Lin Shiyi: "What do you want to say? Was it sent by Li Qi to detain me?"

"Don't get me wrong, I'm not from Chuxing." The woman introduced herself without hesitation: "My name is Song Lanlan, and I'm a small shareholder of a company called Zhanfa. Are you interested in joining my company?"

"Bloom?" Lin Shiyi recalled the record companies in the music circle, and it seemed that there was no company called Bloom.

"Don't worry about it. Zhanhao is only a small company that was established two months ago. It has strong financial resources and it is only a matter of time before it develops." Song Lanlan smiled.

Her personality was quite friendly, which suited Lin Shiyi's taste very well: "Since you didn't know that I was kicked out of the company because of plagiarism, why did you dare to recruit me into the company?"

"Anyone with a brain can figure it out. If your work is plagiarized, it won't just be a simple matter of being kicked out of the company. You may even face a lawsuit."

Song Lanlan commented from the perspective of the workplace: "You were just kicked out of the company. I can only say one thing, you were indeed framed."

"Ms. Song, how can you be sure that I didn't really plagiarize?" A smile gradually appeared on Lin Shiyi's face.

"Then are you willing to come to my company to prove that you are suspected of plagiarism?" Song Lanlan's reverse invitation further revealed her temperament as a female warrior in the workplace.

"Tell me your conditions." After being rejected by many companies, Lin Shiyi no longer had any requirements for the record company.

As long as there is a platform to release songs, it’s fine.

"Zhanhua is just a small company. We are in need of people, so we don't have any hard requirements."

Song Lanlan didn't say anything final. She pursed her red lips and said, "Before you become a silver medal composer, you are required to release a song on the new season chart every month. No matter how good the performance is, as long as you release the song, it's fine. You have one month to prepare, starting next month."

"You guys chat first. I still need to continue discussing business. Remember to come to Bloom to report at 8 a.m. The address is Yunlou Building, No. 18 Road. The 15th floor is our Bloom's composition department."

After Song Lanlan left, Jiang Xue asked, "Teacher Lin, why did you join Bloom? This small company has only been established for two months..."

"Don't talk about a company's bad deeds behind its back." Lin Shiyi's tone cooled down a little: "Remember to report to Zhanfa Company every day."

At four o'clock in the afternoon, Lin Shiyi returned to his rental house, turned on his computer, and paid attention to the season charts of major music platforms.

To his surprise, "Later" had already made it into the top 19.

At noon, the list was still outside the top 50. How could that be possible in just one afternoon?

No matter how high the quality is, it still takes time to prove it, right?

Sure enough, within a few minutes, Lin Shiyi saw the promotion and push of "Later" on many platforms and hot searches.

"Manager Li was really willing to do this. After kicking me out, he took full control and even bought the hot searches."

With such strong publicity and high-quality songs, it is not surprising to make it into the top 20 in one afternoon.
