Chapter 109: Grab it, grab it
It was late at night and Zhong Jialing drove at full speed for a hundred miles. Two hours later, the four of them finally arrived at the port of Phillips.
The military police patrolling the port come about every fifteen minutes. There is no one around here. Warships occasionally stop by for supplies during the day, and at night it is quiet with only the sounds of the sea breeze and waves.
The four of them put on diving gear and emerged from the water silently.
A large amount of stockpiled military supplies were packed in containers or wooden boxes. Zhong Jialing checked the markings on the boxes and said disdainfully, "There are only guns, bullets, grenades, and a dozen large and bulky old-fashioned cannons. There's not even a tank."
Luo Jiu said: "Tanks haven't been invented yet. In this era, having these ancient weapons is considered advanced. It would be a waste if you don't take them. Keep them all."
Cheng Yaoyao found some medical supplies on the other side, with medicines and bandages filling six containers.
There were also a large number of military supplies nearby, including tents, quilts, military uniforms, canned beef, kettles, sabers, gasoline, etc., which filled up half of the port. These supplies were enough for 10,000 soldiers to use for three months.
Everybody is here, and the space is big enough that words can be heard echoing, so it would be nice to use these things to fill in some of the space.
The four of them found a clearing and, like ants moving house, quietly collected supplies into the space.
Patrolling military police were checking the shore, and the supplies were piled so high that they could only see one side.
There was no movement on the water, so they thought everything was safe. Little did they know that the entire port was being quietly emptied.
The four of them collected the container boxes of supplies one by one, just like playing with building blocks, where the military and police could not see.
The originally piled-up military supplies were soon emptied into an L-shaped wall.
It was almost time. Luo Jiu made a gesture to retreat. Just as the four were about to go into the water, she suddenly caught a glimpse of a medium-sized frigate parked not far away. It could accommodate more than a hundred people operating on the ship at the same time. It was equipped with eight cannons and twenty machine guns, which was really eye-catching.
Feng Qi: "Are you interested? I'll get it."
Luo Jiu hesitated for a moment, "I don't know if there is anyone up there. If they make some noise, it will be difficult for us to escape."
Cheng Yaoyao: "No, there is no light at all."
So, everyone swam silently to the warship, took the fixed anchor on board, and everyone boarded the ship quietly to do a final inspection.
The boat was very quiet, so when the four approached the cabin, they soon heard clear snoring coming from inside.
The four of them stopped at the same time and stood there in a daze.
Zhong Jialing asked awkwardly: "What do you say now?"
Luo Jiu sighed and pulled out the dagger from his body, "Say sorry."
Everyone adjusted their night vision goggles, prepared their silenced pistols and daggers, counted down to three, and rushed into the cabin together, quickly eliminating all the sleeping soldiers in the cabin as if they were hunting.
The military police on the shore only saw the warship shaking slightly. They thought it was normal for soldiers to get up and walk around at night because there were soldiers resting inside, so they didn't take it seriously at all.
After a while, the patrol team began to change shifts, and the previous patrol leader gave a routine report: "Everything is normal."
The leader of the other team glanced at the sea and was about to sign the handover form when he suddenly grabbed the captain of the previous shift who was about to leave.
His expression was horrified, as if he had seen a ghost. "Is everything normal? Then... where are the anchored warships?"
Everyone turned around suddenly and saw the vast sea with nothing but a few seabirds.
Where is the boat?
Everyone ran to the shore in panic, and suddenly heard a sharp shout: "Captain, supplies..."
When everyone turned around, they saw that most of the things in the supply pile had disappeared, leaving only a pitiful empty shell.
"Oh my God!" The person in charge pulled out the gun at his waist, but he didn't know which direction to shoot. He fired several shots into the air angrily and shouted, "Find him!"
Where to look? There were no clues except a few puddles of water on the shore. They even suspected that this was a trace left by humans.
If they were humans, how did they do it? If they were humans, where did they go?
The port suddenly became a mess, all searchlights were turned on, and dozens of boats were quickly launched to search for traces of the warship.
However, at this time, the four of them had already driven the silent tram back to the naval commander's house.
A large amount of supplies were seized during this trip, and more than a dozen heads were easily taken. According to the system statistics, the number was 22/8000.
They also unexpectedly captured a warship. After working all night, the four of them could finally lie comfortably on the big bed and fall asleep peacefully.
However, the sleep was not sound. At six in the morning, after the four of them had slept for less than two hours, they were all awakened by bursts of sharp telephone ringing.
There was a commotion outside. Luo Jiu pushed open the door and saw the housekeeper and servants running around, looking very panicked.
Luo Jiu grabbed a maid and asked, "What happened?"
The maid said helplessly: "A very strange incident happened. Master Noki got very angry. You won't believe it. The boat, people and things all disappeared!"
Luo Jiu closed the door silently and chuckled. She believed it because they were the ones who did it.
The four of them couldn't sleep anymore, so they simply got up, got dressed, woke up the children, and prepared to go back to the farm together.
The phone had been ringing non-stop that morning. When they walked into the living room, they saw Noki, half-dressed in his military uniform, blushing and cursing into the phone.
"What the hell! It's obviously your fault for not taking good care of it. How can you ask me to send someone to take it away without telling you? God damn it! God knows what you did? You couldn't even take care of such a big warship. Did you sleep like dead pigs all night?"
Noki was coughing madly in anger. Fiona helped him button up his shirt and handed him a glass of water.
Noki was so angry that he cursed loudly, "You hateful thief, robber, you'd better not let me know who did it, otherwise I will chop these bastards into pieces and feed them to the dogs!"
Fiona didn't know how to comfort him, so she just stood there silently.
Turning around and seeing Luo Jiu and the others, she hurriedly said, "The car has been arranged. Something big happened at home, and my father has to end his vacation early. I won't keep you for breakfast."
She handed the envelope containing money that she had prepared in advance to Luo Jiu and asked the housekeeper to take them to the car.
As soon as the four of them and the children sat in the car, Noki came out in a hurry.
Unlike the calm and complacent look of last night, Noki was like a grilled shrimp at this moment. Anger made his face red. He got in his private car and drove quickly towards the port.
The car with four people finally started, and everyone was bathed in the morning light, in a good mood, enjoying the scenery of the suburbs as if they were on a spring outing.
Feng Qi even hummed a song happily. Zhu Jiumei asked in confusion: "Master, why are you so happy?"
Feng Qi smiled but said nothing. She wondered why those people from Noki were so proud. It turned out that anyone who was a robber would be proud. It was easy to make a lot of money without any investment.
The four of them leaned together, drowsy, until the car arrived at the farm and Charlotte excitedly knocked on the car door to wake them up.
"You're finally back! Get out of the car quickly, I have good news to tell you two!"
