"Shaohua, Guixiang."
Taking advantage of the good weather, Fu Guixiang put Wang Laoxiao in a wheelchair and pushed him out for a walk to clear his head.
She married into the Wang family because the Wang family wanted someone to take care of the Wang family members, and the Fu family simply pushed her out to replace their cousin.
Unlike Fu Guilan, who went to high school and now has a job, she now spends her days doing housework and taking care of Wang Laoxiao and his family.
She had just taken the children out for a stroll, to soak up the sun and breathe some fresh air, when she ran into her cousin.
Standing opposite Fu Guixiang and her husband, Fu Guilan greeted Wang Shaohua naturally without changing her expression.
"Guixiang, Shaohua." Fu Guilan walked over, greeted them, and then said directly to Fu Guixiang, "Guixiang, your in-laws came to our house to cause trouble, why didn't you stop them?"
"Your grandparents got sick from all the stress, didn't you even go back to see them?"
Fu Guixiang felt indignant upon hearing this, but because she had always been required by her elders to fawn over and defer to her cousin since childhood, she didn't know how to refute her cousin's words.
What can she do?
She was pushed by her family to marry into the Wang family in place of her cousin. She was not well received by the Wang family, and even her husband, Wang Laoxiao, treated her coldly.
What right does she have to stop the Wang family from causing trouble for the Fu family?
Fu Guilan didn't care how dissatisfied the Wang family was with their daughter-in-law, Fu Guixiang. She complained naturally, "Your in-laws can drive all of us to illness."
"They even took the three hundred yuan with them, how can that be allowed?"
"Haven't you already married into the Wang family? Does the Wang family think they can get a daughter-in-law for free without spending a single penny?"
As Fu Guilan spoke, she inevitably became emotional; that was three hundred yuan!
God knows how long she negotiated with the Wang family before finally getting the bride price down to three hundred yuan.
She brought three hundred yuan with her when she married into the Yang family, but the Wang family went to her parents' home and took the three hundred yuan away.
How can this be?
Fu Guilan was very unhappy when she remembered that her brother had asked her to make up the 300 yuan.
How could she possibly take out the money that's already in her hands?
She wasn't having an easy time in Yangjiashan either. This three hundred yuan was her private money, her most treasured possession. Why would she be willing to take it out and give it to her family?
Fu Guilan never thought about giving back the three hundred yuan that the Wang family took from her family; she only wanted Fu Guixiang to figure it out herself.
If Fu Guixiang could get the Wang family to return that money to her parents' home as a betrothal gift, that would be wonderful.
Wouldn't that make everyone happy?
"Guixiang, you're a perfectly fine young woman marrying into the Wang family, and you end up with nothing. Isn't that a huge loss?"
"That's your betrothal money, don't you want it back?" Fu Guilan tempted and instigated her, hoping she would go back and cause trouble for the Wang family.
But she seemed to have forgotten that Fu Guixiang didn't dare to cause trouble with her family and was forced to marry into the Wang family in her place. Given her personality, she was even less likely to cause trouble with the Wang family.
Unlike her maternal family, the Wang family didn't have a relationship with her that lasted for over a decade, and they wouldn't compromise just because she made a fuss.
"Fu Guilan, are you instigating my wife to fight with my mother and encouraging her to drain her husband's family's coffers to subsidize her own family?"
Sitting in his wheelchair, Wang Laoxiao stared at Fu Guilan for a long time before finally speaking.
Of course he didn't like Fu Guixiang. He had clearly agreed that his wife would be Fu Guilan, but he ended up marrying an illiterate woman who had never attended school. No wonder he didn't like her.
Fortunately, Fu Guixiang had always kept a low profile and hadn't caused any trouble since marrying into the family, so he had a decent impression of her and wouldn't make things too difficult for her.
But how could Fu Guilan, that treacherous woman, still appear in front of him and so naturally accuse his wife and instigate her to make money to support her family?
Wang Laoxiao, a man whose real name is Wang Shaohua, stared straight at Fu Guilan with a somewhat defeated face and a particularly sinister look in his eyes, causing Fu Guilan to take a few steps back.
"We agreed that you would marry into this family, and you suddenly backed out of the engagement and still dare to show up in front of me? What? Do you think your deputy factory director husband can protect you and that I can't do anything to you?"
"How dare you appear in front of me with such impunity, and even incite my wife to go against my mother, to make trouble for my mother, and to take money back to your family?"
Do you think you're the only smart person in the world, and everyone else is a fool?
Wang Shaohua's affection for Fu Guilan turned into hatred.
When he learned that she had broken off her engagement and was marrying an older, divorced man with several children, who was also the deputy director of a factory.
He clearly understood that Fu Guilan despised him, and he knew that the reason she had coaxed him and his parents so much before was so that she could marry into the city and get a job there.
Of course, she got the job in the city, and once she had enough leverage to marry into the city, she could no longer be so friendly to him.
"You bitch! You vain bitch!" Wang Shaohua's face was somewhat ferocious. Even though he was in a wheelchair, he still rushed up to Fu Guilan and wanted to hit her.
"What are you doing!" Fu Guilan stepped back in fear. Fortunately, the other person was in a wheelchair and had difficulty moving around, and she moved quickly and dodged Wang Shaohua's slap.
"You bitch! You wretched woman, come back here!"
"How dare you show your face in front of me? You think you're so great just because you hooked up with a factory manager behind my back?"
