Chapter 10 Early Love? Unrequited Love?

"Do you believe I can make sure you never see him again?"

She certainly couldn't do anything to other people's children, but couldn't she at least prevent Zhou Min from ever appearing in front of them again?

Zhou Min was successfully threatened by her.

"Mom, how could you do this?"

"Why can't I do this?" Chen Suwen reached out and poked her forehead. "I raised you with so much effort and sent you to school, and this is how you repay me?"

"Don't tell me that raising children is selfless. I don't know about others, but I'm not that selfless."

"If you let all my years of raising you go to waste, hehe, you wouldn't want to know what I'll do," Chen Suwen warned her, tapping her forehead.

Zhou Min's heart skipped a beat.

She clearly knew that her mother's words were not just a simple warning, just like her older sister's.

Her older sister also had a very close "friend" back then, and her older sister even secretly told her that she and that male classmate had already started a relationship.

Who knew that not long after her eldest sister graduated from high school, her male classmate went to the countryside. Her eldest sister originally wanted to go, but her mother interfered, and her sister married her current brother-in-law.

I wonder what happened to that male classmate who went to the countryside. Meanwhile, her older sister married a man she didn't like and had two children.

"What are you thinking?" Chen Suwen looked at Zhou Min's ever-changing expression and pinched her thin cheeks. "You better behave yourself, or I won't let you off just because you're my daughter."

"Alright, hurry up and go back to your room to do your homework."

Zhou Min nodded obediently, grabbed her schoolbag, and quickly ran back to her room.

Chen Suwen watched her fleeing figure and chuckled, but the laughter was more of a sneer than a genuine one.

The young girl had someone she liked, and she was indeed very curious about who that person was, but more than that, she didn't want them to affect Zhou Min's studies.

Chen Suwen didn't think her actions were wrong at all. If she were a particularly understanding, gentle, and meticulous person, she wouldn't be such a jerk.

She had no intention of changing the original owner's character.

Maintaining the original owner's character setting makes her more comfortable.

gentle?

Such a word would never apply to her.

"Suwen, Suwen, are you home?"

Several calls came from outside the door. Chen Suwen followed the sound and saw a familiar face. The woman smiled as soon as she saw Chen Suwen.

"Suwen, are you at home?"

"Come, come, Suwen, let me tell you, there seems to be a big market in Tang Town today, are you going?"

Big market?

Chen Suwen waved at her, "What market?"

Although free trade has been abolished, it hasn't been completely eliminated. There's still a large market every month where people can exchange what they need.

Most of the business at the market is bartering, so it's not considered speculation or profiteering and there shouldn't be any major problems.

Today happens to be market day in Tang Town, but—

"It's already noon, the market should be over by now, right?"

"No, it usually ends in the evening."

After all, there's only one day a month when bartering is allowed, and it won't end so soon.
