El's glowing dish, slime tomato fish soup, freshly made.
(Next are the gargoyle series dishes, followed by the vampire series dishes.)
El is very skilled at making this slime tomato fish soup, and has made several improvements based on the first version.
"Come and try it, it's good stuff, you'll know how delicious it is after just one bite."
He invited the villagers to come to his house and bring their own bowls. As the cook, El added a bowl of fish soup to each villager's bowl in turn.
Looking at the red tomato soup, the white fish meat was already coated in the soup, and blue slime blocks were floating on top.
It smelled so good that almost everyone present couldn't resist it.
They had been busy dealing with slimes for most of the day and were starving when they stumbled upon such a good thing.
If they hadn't watched the slime being cooked, there wouldn't have been any slime-like monster ingredients left in the bowl.
They probably couldn't resist and started feasting.
"Really? Slime? Are you sure it's safe to eat?"
One villager was still hesitating when he heard the sound of eating not far away.
He watched as his village chief, an elderly man who wasn't very healthy, finished a large bowl of fish soup with great vigor.
At this speed, I seriously suspect that the elderly person didn't chew much and just swallowed it whole.
"That's wonderful, Brave Warrior! I'll have another bowl!"
Without making El struggle, he picked up the spoon, filled his bowl again, and prepared to continue eating.
"Hey village chief, why are you eating so fast? Don't keep adding more, leave some for us too!"
Some of the villagers who came later understood what was going on after tasting the rice and joined in the scramble for it.
They ate very well; it was arguably the best meal they had ever had in their lives.
They put down their bowls, and some even had tears streaming down their faces.
"Will I ever have the chance to eat such delicious food again?"
"Of course you can. You've already seen the ingredients I used, haven't you?"
All of these are the most common ingredients, things you should have at home. The only special thing is slime.
El's words rekindled their enthusiasm, which had been fueled by the delicious food.
"Hero, you mentioned a good way to deal with slimes, could it be...?"
"Yes, here's a recipe for monster cuisine. If you want to eat slime, you can make it yourself."
"You guys must have big appetites, right? You can use food to deal with slimes too."
He estimated that it wouldn't be long before this place would be similar to his hometown, where he wouldn't have to worry about too many slimes and would instead need to start planning slime farming properly.
I used to hate that slimes multiplied too fast, so much so; now I hate that slimes don't multiply fast enough, so little so.
The recipes weren't a problem either, because before they set off, El had already asked the king to make many copies of the existing recipes.
The instructions, effects, and precautions for consuming various monsters, including slimes, are all listed above.
"Let me see... Hmm, a little salt, some chopped slime, simmer over low heat for a while..."
