Chapter 277 The Demon Race's Most Hopeful Opportunity (2/2)

"What?"

"Oh dear, aren't you being a bit too rude?"

"They start fighting at the drop of a hat. Old people have no martial ethics. They try to cheat and ambush me, a young man!"

It was still that irreverent tone, that nonchalant attitude; the way El was behaving only fueled the Demon King's growing irritation.

This script is wrong. Shouldn't it be that it unleashes its power, completely crushes the hero, and leaves the opponent with no chance to fight back?

"Clang... clang... clang..."

The sound of metal striking metal echoed across the battlefield as the Demon King slashed repeatedly, but each strike was precisely blocked by El.

The perfectly timed defense prevented the Demon King's attack from causing any damage to El; it only served to deplete El's stamina.

Moreover, El maintained a single-handed sword-wielding posture throughout, as if the current battle did not require him to exert his full strength.

"This shouldn't be happening, why did it turn out like this?"

"You're just an unrecognized hero; where do you get your courage?"

It couldn't understand why the memories passed down from generation to generation of Demon Kings didn't evaluate heroes primarily based on the power of their weapons, while their actual strength was just average.

This guy has such combat power even without the Holy Sword being activated. Are you old demon kings who died misleading future generations?

"Damn it, damn it, damn it! I refuse to believe it..."

Another confrontation ensued. The two weapons separated, and the Demon King's left hand was aimed at El, unleashing a burst of black energy.

"useless."

El thwarted the Demon King's sneak attack with a single sword strike and dodged the vertical slash of the demonic blade.

The position is perfect now; El is standing to the Demon King's left.

He raised his left leg and kicked the demon king in the stomach.

"Puwa..."

With his mouth open, he spat out a mouthful of blood, and the Demon King flew away, his body contorted.

"Such power? Something's not right. Why are you so strong?"

Clutching his stomach, the Demon King noticed a crack in his torso armor; El's kick had left him feeling quite unwell.

However, compared to the physical pain, the Demon King suffered a more severe blow to his mind.

It didn't know how much effort it had to put in, or what sacrifices it had to make to sit on the throne. This fateful battle was completely different from what it had imagined.

El slowly lowered his raised foot.

"Maybe I'm just naturally strong, it's quite normal for me to be a little strong."

"But you, after taking that hit, seem completely unharmed. You're incredibly strong, like a monster. It's terrifying."

As he spoke, a smile remained on El's face.

With his back to the sun, the smile was too dazzling to the Demon King.

"It's always like this. Even if your power is indeed great, that is no reason for you to look down on me."

In the brief encounter, it had already understood El's power, but as a demon king who had come this far, it could not simply give up the fight because of a difference in strength.

"Melee combat is at a disadvantage for me, so I'll try a ranged attack to wear me down. Magic, I still have magic."

It flapped its wings, trying to distance itself from El, but found that even though it was constantly retreating, the distance between them remained unchanged.

"Weren't you so brave just now? What do you mean by distancing yourself from me now?"

Using wind elemental magic in conjunction with his footwork, El maintained a fixed distance, continuing to study and understand this most peculiar prey.
