The exploration team continued forward, with Evan, who held the Dawn Spear, as the dividing line. Before Evan lay the unknown darkness, while behind him lay ruins illuminated by light.
Perhaps due to the enclosed environment, or perhaps due to the influence of dark energy, the buildings here, though somewhat dilapidated, still retain their general appearance.
Touching the broken stone pillars, one can roughly deduce that they were destroyed by some kind of giant beast.
There were very straight ditches in the street, it was unclear whether they were caused by some kind of special force or something else.
One of the exploration team members went to check the inside of the house ruins. There were no books or other remnants, but there was also no trace of the Dark Erosion Beast.
"Something's not right. Something's nine-tenths or even ten-tenths wrong."
They were seasoned veterans, and their extensive experience told them that such a dark environment must be teeming with Dark Devouring Beasts, but why couldn't they see anything?
"There's no need to wonder about this anymore. The answer to why there aren't a large number of Dark Erosion Beasts has already come to welcome us."

Without charging up, he simply grasped the hilt of the Twilight Sword, and flames carrying destructive power ignited.
Then, with a flick of his wrist, he unleashed a crimson flame slash that swept across the space, destroying everything in its path, whether light or darkness, until it reached the monster within.

Accompanied by a roar of intense pain and rage, the being in the darkness, still alive, did not slow down due to its injury, but instead accelerated to reach Evan.
Black scales emerged from the darkness, followed by the head, claws, torso, and tail, until the entire body was exposed to Evan and the others.
Its body resembles that of a dragon, but it has no wings, three horns on its head, and its forelimbs are thicker and stronger than its hind limbs. Its mouth is also much more exaggerated than that of an ordinary snake or lizard, with a gaping maw that seems big enough to stuff its head inside.

But even more chilling than its terrifying appearance is the dark aura emanating from the monster.
The case is solved. Why were there no other Dark Erosion Beasts here? What exactly is being bred in this darkness?
This monster defeated its rivals within the ruins, becoming the sole being in the darkness, and with the power of the Dark God Model, surpassed the limits of a regular Dark Erosion Beast.
Perhaps, such a monster could be called the Dark Eclipse King Beast.
It is the strongest monster here, and can also be considered a guardian left here by the God of Darkness to protect a certain secret.
