If you want any other renewable ingredients, I can tell you the locations of the other vampire dukes.
I have no other wish than a quick and painless death, can't I just rest in peace?
This scene is hard for others to imagine, as demons, especially vampires, have long lifespans.
It is not uncommon for many other races to betray their race and accept vampire transformation in order to live a few more years.
Now, the Grand Duke of Vampires is almost the highest-ranking member of the vampire race, and he is determined to die when facing El.
"Alright then, I can grant your wish. After you go down, remember to say hello to my other ingredients."
Whether or not it would greet them, even the vampire grand duke himself couldn't say, but given the chance, it would definitely seek out a certain red-eyed giant bat.
The person El could personally tell it was a vampire codenamed Red-Eyed Bat who guided El, leading him down the path of hunting vampires.
"You wretched red-eyed bat, you deserve to die!"
With this thought in mind, the vampire grand duke's consciousness plunged into endless darkness.
"Another ingredient has left me forever. You guys are the best. Even if the original is gone, as long as there are seeds, you can harvest new ones."
El took out a red chili pepper that looked like it was about to explode from his spatial equipment.
Also a plant fairy cultivated by elves, it concentrates fire element and terrible spiciness, causing damage through explosion.
Just before it was about to explode, El swiftly sliced open the chili pepper, extracted the seeds, and cooked a stir-fried chili pepper with meat not far from the Demon King's castle.
After eating and drinking his fill, feeling as if his body had received a slight boost in its stats, El looked towards the distant Demon King's castle.
"Hmm, the demon king inside, I think I can already sense its presence."
If dealing with it isn't a problem, then we should just leave the tunnels left by our predecessors.
"Let's go see him now. This demon king has been waiting for me for a long time. I can't let my so-called nemesis down."
The Demon King was in the Demon King's Castle. He didn't go to war with the Four Heavenly Kings, nor did he try to kill El after learning about his situation.
The information was exactly the same as what El had seen from the heroes of previous generations, which was not surprising at all.
"The period of demon activity is an incredible phenomenon. Whenever a new demon king ascends the throne, the demon race becomes more active, irritable, and more lethal."
Elemental monsters are also more likely to be born in environments outside of the demon realm, and their reproduction rate is faster.
This is actually the result of some kind of ritual, the specifics of which remain unclear, but the Demon King, the throne, and the Demon King's castle are inextricably linked to it.
The Demon race's ability to rapidly mass-produce troops gave them the confidence to declare war on the entire world single-handedly, which led to their period of activity lasting several years.
That is why the Demon King cannot leave his throne... or at least not too far from the Demon King's Castle.
"They were quite welcoming; they came out to greet me."
Upon reaching the gates of the Demon King's castle, El saw that guy, the legendary Demon King.
Twisted black branches intertwined and transformed into a throne that conformed to the aesthetics of the demon race. The Demon King sat there quietly, his back to El.
"Hey, Demon King, your days of declaring war on the world at the drop of a hat are over. Now, I'm going to take your life."
"Is that so? Human hero, my nemesis. You know the rules. If you want my life, come and take it yourself."
The Demon King stood up to face El, and the throne behind him turned into black particles and dissipated.
"Heroes and demon kings, humans and demons, battle after battle. It's time to settle our fate and put an end to it all."
The battle is about to begin.
