Chapter 176: Completely Controlled by Her Son

Yan Shao's bowl of noodles didn't taste any better just because his son was back. He still took a few bites and realized the taste was off. He put down his chopsticks, propped his elbows on the table, and watched his son eat intently.

The little guy's eating posture and habits are exactly the same as Zhu Qianying's. He eats very fast, but strangely, he doesn't look messy at all.

On the contrary, it makes people think that this little guy is really easy to raise, and he eats everything with gusto!

I believe that if this little guy and his mom were to film a food commercial, it would be incredibly convincing.

"Young master, is the food delicious?"

As a responsible housekeeper, Uncle Hai naturally had to care about the tastes of the family.

The little guy had already eaten a big bowl of rice, two big chicken wings, half a fish belly, a few pieces of braised pork ribs, and a few pieces of various vegetables. After finishing these, he drank a big bowl of soup.

When Uncle Hai asked him, he had just put down his soup bowl and hadn't had a chance to answer when he let out a loud burp!

Yan Han quickly reached out and patted his back, "Don't eat so fast next time! I wasn't trying to take it from you!"

After saying this, Yan Han vaguely felt that his words sounded familiar.

Then, without even thinking, the little guy replied, "It's just eating, why waste so much time!"

Upon hearing his son's reply, Yan Han recalled that a few years ago, he had said something similar to Zhu Qianying, and Zhu Qianying had responded with something similar to what his son had said.

The words are still the same.

But the person being addressed is no longer the same!

In the instant Yan Han was stunned, the little guy had already opened the drawer, taken out a pack of wet towels, and was about to tear them open.

"Oh, young master, Grandpa Hai has hot towels here, don't use those, they're ice cold!"

The little guy didn't stop despite Uncle Hai's attempts to stop him. While tearing the torn pieces, he said, "Grandpa Hai, Mommy says I'm a man and can't be spoiled!"

Uncle Hai was speechless!

Because what Zhu Qianying said wasn't wrong.

Of course, the Yan family has a lot of money, but that doesn't mean that the Yan family's children should be raised as pampered hothouse flowers.

Chatting with Uncle Hai, the little guy's eloquence was on full display again. Clearly, his near-zero interaction with Yan Han wasn't because he didn't know how to express himself or was quiet; rather, he simply didn't want to talk to Yan Han.

"Mommy also said that a real man should be more magnanimous, not fussy, and certainly not petty!"

As the little guy spoke, his eyes glanced at Yan Han, intentionally or unintentionally.

Even if Yan Han was completely oblivious to his own shortcomings, he could at least understand that the little guy's words were a veiled reference to him.

No, it wasn't the little guy's words. It was what Zhu Qianying said to her son that was actually a veiled criticism of him, the father!

In an instant, he became a little angry because that girl, Zhu Qianying, had actually slandered him, her father, in front of his son.

But then she thought, she was already being kind enough to send her son back to him; as for the rest, let her smear him if she wanted.

Moreover, and most importantly, what she said wasn't entirely wrong.

At the very least, he agreed with her statement that a man shouldn't be pampered.

As for the others, let's reserve our opinions for now.

"Baby, Daddy's taking you to the furniture store!"

Yan Han hadn't forgotten that the furniture in the house had been deemed dangerous by Uncle Hai, the experienced housekeeper, so replacing it with new furniture became an urgent matter.

"I'm not going!"

The young master wiped his mouth and hands clean with a damp towel, then jumped off the chair and onto the floor, waving his little arms as he walked out of the dining room.

Yan Han was extremely embarrassed by such a straightforward rejection. Fortunately, Uncle Hai, who was present, was very sensible and pretended not to hear. He quickly followed the little brat out, leaving Yan Han alone in the dining room to calm down and reflect.

Yan Han stayed in the dining room to heal his injuries. When he came out, he saw the little guy half-lying on the sofa, holding a remote control and picking out TV programs. His long legs were dangling off the side of the sofa, swinging back and forth very comfortably.

Yan Han stood behind the sofa, silently watching his son.

This is my son's first day back home. He seems to be adapting very well to everything at home, including eating, sleeping, and playing. He doesn't seem to have any complaints at all.

Yan Han has only spent a short time with his son, but he can tell from his son's speech and actions that his son is much more mature and intelligent than other children his age.

Moreover, he is very adaptable, and so far, he has never mentioned missing his mother.

It's not hard to imagine that Zhu Qianying must have had a long talk with him or made some kind of agreement before sending him back.

Otherwise, given the trust and reliance the little guy showed in Zhu Qianying, he would never have been obediently sent back unless there was a reason.

"Son, where do you want to go? Daddy will go with you!"

To be honest, Yan Shao's knowledge and understanding of children was already pitifully limited, so naturally he couldn't think of any way to please his son.

So, we simply gave the choice to the little guy.

The little guy had been pressing the remote control, probably because he hadn't seen any TV programs that suited his taste.

But after hearing Yan Han ask that question, he stopped. On the TV screen, there were several babies singing and dancing.

"No, I'm not going. I'll watch TV!"

Yan Han was once again rebuffed, but this time his reaction was much calmer; perhaps he had become somewhat used to being humiliated.

I don't know if he's the only one like this, or if all parents are like this, but in front of their own children, they seem a bit like masochists!

For example, even if he were to be rejected outright, Yan Han felt that this was actually not bad. At least it was better than being ignored.

Surprisingly, the process of getting used to being abused was surprisingly quick.

At noon, seeing the little guy's arrogant manner, he was thinking of giving him a good spanking.

But what about now?

Not only did I not have the thought of spanking him, but I would even be willing to say a word to him, even if the content of his words was extremely unpleasant!

Yan Han couldn't understand why his thoughts and attitudes had changed so quickly. If someone had told him a day ago that he, Yan Han, would be completely under his son's thumb, he would have been completely different.

He would definitely scoff at it and take the opportunity to thoroughly ridicule that person.

In reality, he was not only completely under his son's thumb, but also self-destructively knew that his son was now ignoring him and wishing that he, as the father, would get far away and stop bothering him. Yet, he still shamelessly went around to the front of the sofa and sat down on the long sofa that he rarely sat on.

"Baby, Daddy will watch it with you!"

Young Master Yan turned the volume up to the maximum. It was unclear whether he didn't want to hear Yan Han speak, or if he wanted to make Yan Han leave on his own.
