He told the same thing to outsiders! Even Qin Xiu and the others always thought that Zhu Qianying had gone abroad for further studies.
He couldn't let outsiders know that his newlywed wife, whom he had only married a few days earlier, had run away with the money. He, the young master Yan, couldn't afford to lose face like that!
At that time, Yan Han always believed that he was omnipotent.
In particular, since he took over the Yanhuang Group and the Tong family, as his reputation and prestige as Young Master Yan have grown, he has become increasingly confident and even somewhat arrogant.
In his view, there is probably nothing in this world that can stump him anymore.
But his own wife ran away. He searched almost every place he could think of, but he couldn't find a single hair of her.
This search lasted for five years, and during those five years, he never received a single piece of news about her.
If she hadn't taken the initiative to send her son back, he thought he probably would never have received even the slightest news of her in his entire life.
At first, he resented Zhu Qianying's decisiveness and carefree attitude more than once in his heart.
How could they just leave him without giving him any chance to explain, leaving behind a pile of documents and materials and then walking away?
But gradually, he came to realize that waiting in despair was almost like a slow suicide.
She probably saw this clearly, and resolutely chose to leave, give up, and start anew.
He, however, remained in the same place, spending five years searching and waiting day after day. From initial hope to gradual disappointment, he has recently tasted the bitterness of despair.
Fortunately, just as he was thinking that if he couldn't find Zhu Qianying next year, he would adopt two children to bring back to his parents, the little guy appeared!
Although the little guy clearly didn't want to acknowledge him as his father, since he was willing to come back and accept him, it was only a matter of time.
Yan Han believed that after spending the first day together, the relationship between the father and son was slowly developing in a positive direction.
Unexpectedly, a sudden visitor at noon shattered his beautiful wishes.
Early in the morning, Yan Han woke up at six o'clock as usual. The little guy who had clung to him like an octopus in the middle of the night nuzzled against him with his fluffy head as he carefully tried to pry his little paws off his robe. Then, half-opening his sleepy eyes, he looked up and said, "Mommy..."
Yan Han rubbed his head. "It's Daddy. Can you sleep a little longer?"
He found the little guy in his dazed state to be especially adorable, his voice soft and sweet, and his sleepy, bewildered expression made him unable to resist giving him a kiss.
The little guy, still half-asleep, was completely unguarded. After he finished kissing her, she tugged at his robe, buried her face in his shoulder, and rubbed against him. Then, she sat up.
"I won't sleep in..." The little guy clearly didn't even want to open his eyes, but he still insisted.
Yan Han felt sorry for him. "How about Daddy stays with you and sleeps a little longer?"
The scales in his heart tipped instantly. For him now, no matter how important his work was, it couldn't compare to even a fraction of what his son was worth.
"I'm not going to sleep..."
The little guy resolutely shook his head, pushed himself up with his hand, stood up coolly, walked to the foot of the bed, and suddenly jumped up into the air with a "bang".
Yan Han's heart leaped into her throat. She rushed over to hug him, but the little guy had already jumped off the bed and landed safely.
"Baby, don't do such dangerous things in the future!" Yan Han lectured the little guy in a serious tone.
The little guy ignored him, ran around to the other side of the bed, put on his slippers and ran to the bathroom. Soon, the sound of running water came from inside.
Yan Han's lips couldn't help but curl up slightly; it turned out he was holding back his anger!
No wonder he's so grumpy when he wakes up!
In the end, the little guy got up with Yan Han. Yan Han went for a run and asked him if he wanted to go with him. He hesitated for a moment, but shook his head and refused Yan Han's offer.
Yan Han couldn't help but feel a little disappointed because he clearly saw a glint in the little guy's eyes when he suggested going together. Considering the little guy's sturdy little body, he probably enjoyed all kinds of sports and exercise, just like his mother.
The reason for the refusal is that she doesn't want to spend more time with her dad, right?
Although Yan Han was disappointed, he didn't want to force the little guy, so he went for a run by himself, while the little guy stayed in the living room with Uncle Hai.
When he returned from his run, the living room was empty, but he could faintly hear the child's clear laughter coming from the kitchen.
Yan Han has always believed that a gentleman should stay away from the kitchen, and usually avoids it. However, in just over ten hours, he entered the kitchen, which he hates so much, for the second time.
Both times, it was because of the little guy.
"Grandpa Hai, look, doesn't this look like a little bird?"
He had just reached the kitchen door when he heard his beloved son's clear and cheerful voice. From the cheerful tone and manner of his voice, he could imagine that the little guy must be extremely happy at that moment.
Stepping into the kitchen, Yan Han looked up and saw the little guy standing in front of the counter, with a wooden stool under his feet and something in his hand that looked like a plastic gun but not quite. In short, it was a strange, hybrid thing in Yan Han's eyes.
His first thought was that it was the little guy's toy.
When he saw the dough balls that were squeezed out of the kitchen counter in shapes like flowers, birds, and all sorts of other shapes, he vaguely understood.
"Zizai, what are you doing? Let Daddy see!"
The little guy, who had been happily squeezing out different shapes of cookies with his cookie cutter gun, suddenly stopped and turned to stare at Yan Han.
"Who said my name is Zizai?"
His angry demeanor was a stark contrast to the smug little brat he had been just moments before.
Yan Han seemed to have gotten used to the special treatment his beloved son gave him, and laughed, "Your mommy told me!"
Zizai glared at him again, "You're lying!"
With his cheeks puffed out like a frog, Zizai huffed and puffed out two words before turning around to continue squeezing his cookies, ignoring Yanhan again.
Despite being openly disliked by his son, Yan Han wasn't angry at all. He leaned closer to his son's back and peeked at the cookies on the counter.
"It's beautiful! Did Mommy teach you how to do it?"
Yan Han was actually a little unsure, because Zhu Qianying didn't seem to have made cookies before; she seemed to prefer making Chinese pastries.
Zizai ignored him, but Uncle Hai, who couldn't bear to see his young master humiliated, said, "It was the young master's mother-in-law who taught him to do it!"
Yan Han was quite jealous upon hearing this.
So, this kid would rather talk to Uncle Hai, this old man, than talk to his father?
