Zhu Qianying really wanted to bow and beg the man across the street to call the police and have those three men outside the door taken away.
After a prolonged stalemate, Chen Jing, who was inside the room, finally couldn't take it anymore and snapped open the iron door.
Yan Han, who had been silently leaning against the wall since the police arrived, seized the opportunity and slipped into the house immediately.
The police officer watched the nimble figure slip into the house, a glint of shrewdness flashing in his eyes. Then, he coughed twice and asked formally.
"Ms. Zhu, do you still need us to mediate? Or, would you like to find a marriage expert?"
Zhu Qianying scoffed inwardly, "Do you think I'm stupid? You two are clearly in cahoots with Young Master Yan!"
"Thank you, officer. This is my own family matter, and I can handle it myself!"
The police officer finally couldn't hold back any longer and nodded with a slight smile, "Goodbye, Mr. Yan and Mrs. Yan!"
After Zhu Qianying entered the house, she saw her mother habitually going to pour water for Young Master Yan, and Zhu Qianying called out to her in an annoyed tone.
"Mom, don't worry about him, go to your room and get some sleep!"
Chen Jing glanced at Zhu Qianying, then at Yan Shao, who was dressed neatly. After hesitating for a moment, she finally turned around and went into the room.
Zhu Qianying glanced at Yan Han, who had been standing quietly to one side since entering the room, and said in a calm tone.
"Sit here for a while, I'll go in and change my clothes."
Young Master Yan, who had been standing outside for most of the evening, didn't look disheveled at all. He obediently nodded and walked into the living room to sit down.
Zhu Qianying entered the room, but instead of changing her clothes, she took out an MP4 from the bedside table, put on earphones, turned the volume up to the maximum she could tolerate, took off her coat, climbed back into bed, and lifted the covers to go back to sleep.
For some unknown reason, lying in bed, she felt completely comfortable and soon drifted off to sleep.
As for whether Young Master Yan came to knock on the door, she had no idea.
...
The next morning, Zhu Qianying got up at about the same time as usual. After washing up, she opened the door and was stunned when she saw the man sitting in the living room.
Are you still there?
She thought that if she had left him like that, anyone with a shred of self-respect would have turned away in less than half an hour.
"I'm waiting for you!" Yan Han said calmly, his gaze fixed intently on Zhu Qianying.
It seems that not only did she sleep well last night, but Mr. Yan also slept quite well.
I guess she sneaked into Zizai's bedroom to sleep in the middle of the night?
With this guess in mind, Zhu Qianying secretly glanced at him a few times. It wasn't hard to notice that his shirt was a little wrinkled at the back, as were his trousers, while his suit jacket was draped over another sofa.
So it seems he probably just slept on the sofa last night?
It's really rare to see that Young Master Yan, who is so meticulous about everything, would actually sleep on the sofa for one night.
"What are you waiting for me for? I'm not paying you a salary!"
Zhu Qianying yawned and walked towards the dining room, wondering to herself how much psychological trauma Yan Shao must be experiencing after sleeping on the sofa all night.
Young Master Yan, however, was shameless enough to get up and follow him. "I don't need to pay you a salary, I just need you to listen to my explanation."
Young Master Yan was also a stubborn person. He followed her into the dining room, pulled out the chair next to her, and sat down.
Zhu Qianying didn't say anything. She picked up the bowl to scoop out some white porridge, but there was a small note under the bowl. Judging from the handwriting, she knew it was left by her mother.
"Ying'er, have a good talk with Young Master Yan. I'm going out to buy groceries. I'll make you and Zizai a lung-nourishing soup tonight."
Zhu Qianying chuckled. Perhaps she should ask her mother to make some soup to clear away the heat in her heart.
Yan Han looked at her and asked, "What are you laughing at?"
"It's nothing!" Zhu Qianying smiled and shook her head, crumpled the note into a ball, and took a few sips of the milk her mother had warmed up.
After finishing his drink, he licked his lips and glanced at Yan Han.
"Go ahead and say it, I'm listening."
Even if his mother didn't specifically instruct him, she would still go along with his wishes and talk to him. But doesn't he know that whether he talks or not, the result is actually the same?
Yan Han stared at her for a while before saying, "I rushed over here as soon as I dropped Yi Wei off at home last night. She won't bother you anymore, don't worry!"
Zhu Qianying found it quite amusing. "She didn't cause me any trouble, she just caused trouble for our store. If she comes again next time, I will call the police and won't be polite to her anymore."
Looking back, Zhu Qianying realized that Yi Wei hadn't caused her any trouble. After all, she wasn't going to lose anything, not even a hair.
However, those customers who were there last night probably still have some opinions about the people or things in the store.
Yan Han assumed she was avoiding the topic, and said, "Ying'er, believe me, that won't happen again."
Zhu Qianying snorted, picked up the cup again, and drank the remaining half cup of milk.
“It’s not what you think between us. We’re really just good friends. At most, I only see her as a younger sister,” Yan Han added.
Zhu Qianying nodded. "I know. Didn't you already explain this to me? There's no need to emphasize it again!"
He wasn't tired, but Zhu Qianying felt tired for him.
Is this interesting? Anyway, whether you two are siblings or not quite lovers, you don't need to explain to me, I don't care.
"I'm afraid you'll misunderstand..." Yan Han said, unusually hesitantly and cautiously.
"Young Master Yan, you haven't misunderstood anything, don't worry!"
To show that she hadn't misunderstood, Zhu Qianying even generously ladled a bowl of white porridge for Young Master Yan.
"Eat something. You stayed up all night. Have some plain porridge to cool down your body."
Then, Zhu Qianying ladled herself a large bowl, sat down, and began to eat slowly.
Zhu Qianying now appears immune to all poisons. No matter what Yan Han explains, she can't listen at all because she feels that whatever he says is meaningless.
Then, she remembered a joke she had seen recently, which said that a woman only needs to say three sentences to handle all conversations.
Those three sentences were: "Really? Why? That's amazing!"
So, she decided to try it out on Young Master Yan.
Yan Shao probably noticed her absent-mindedness and perfunctory attitude, so he took the bowl of porridge she handed him and said...
"Ying'er, Yi Wei and I really didn't go anywhere last night!"
Zhu Qianying put down her bowl, rested her chin on her hand, and looked at him with a smile, "Really?"
Young Master Yan had no idea she was playing a game; he simply thought she was finally willing to listen to his explanation, so he nodded very seriously.
"Of course it's true. I yelled at her in the car, telling her she shouldn't have come to your workplace and bothered you."
Oh, judging from what Young Master Yan said, it seems that as long as we don't cause trouble at her workplace, there won't be any problems, right?
