Zhu Qianying took an early flight and thought the little guy would probably not be able to get up to see her off.
When she dragged her luggage downstairs, she saw the bewildered little guy sitting on the sofa, drinking milk from a cup.
The expression on his face was a little dazed; it was obvious he had been forcibly woken up by the alarm clock.
Zhu Qianying walked over to him tenderly and kissed him, "Baby, why did you get up so early?"
Zizai's previously dazed eyes suddenly focused, "Give it to Mommy!"
The milk stain immediately appeared, covering Zhu Qianying's face with milk.
Zhu Qianying didn't mind at all. She hugged and kissed Zizai and rubbed against him for a while before finally letting him go.
After breakfast, Yan Shao took Zizai to send Zhu Qianying to the airport.
"Uncle Cheng, you're not allowed to assign so much work to my mommy!"
As soon as Zizai saw Cheng Ye, he stood in front of Zhu Qianying like a little adult, raised his head and shouted at Cheng Ye.
Cheng Ye squatted down and hugged him, laughing, "I know, I dare not disobey the little prince's orders!"
The little guy smiled contentedly, rubbed his face against his, and said, "Thank you, Uncle Cheng!" His thanks were sweet and cloying, completely devoid of his previous warning and arrogance.
Yan Shao felt somewhat uncomfortable watching his son interact intimately with Cheng Ye, but Cheng Ye had indeed taken good care of Zhu Qianying and his son over the past few years, so even though he felt uncomfortable, he couldn't show it.
"Mr. Cheng, I'd like to ask you to take care of Ying'er these next few days!" He even exchanged a few polite words with Cheng Ye.
Although Zhu Qianying was used to these unpredictable separations from Zizai, she still couldn't help but hug the little guy and give him a bunch of instructions. The little guy didn't mind her nagging and obediently nestled in her arms, listening attentively and nodding occasionally.
Ten minutes later, Zhu Qianying reluctantly entered the gate with Cheng Ye.
On the way back, the little guy clung to Yan Shao, looking a bit down. Clearly, all the spiritedness he had shown in front of Zhu Qianying was an act.
The reason was that she didn't want Zhu Qianying to worry.
Yan Shao felt very sorry for the little guy. Thinking back to when he was four or five years old, he was like a wild horse, running around and acting recklessly. How could he have been as considerate and thoughtful as Zizai?
In this respect, Zizai is just like his mother. No wonder, when I first met Zhu Qianying, I was very fond of her. Perhaps, she has something that I, as her son, do not have.
Yan Shao, who doted on and loved Zizai, gently stroked the little guy's back and told him about his childhood in the military camp, thus diverting his attention.
The little guy initially just lay on him and listened quietly, but when he heard Yan Shao talk about how he rolled around in the mud and became the Eighteen Bronze Men, he started to giggle with schadenfreude.
Looking at the little guy's beaming face, Yan Shao felt as if the dark clouds outside had dispersed, and the spring sunshine was shining brightly.
The little guy was amused and gradually reverted to his talkative nature.
"Daddy, you know, Uncle Cheng really likes Mommy..."
The little guy looked up at his father, whether he wanted to give his father a heads-up or wanted to share some secrets with Young Master Yan.
"Yes, Daddy knows!"
In front of this clever and mischievous boy, Yan Shao was too lazy to pretend to be stupid. However, he pretended to be very troubled, wanting to test his son's purpose in mentioning Cheng Ye.
Was it meant to be a kind reminder, or a warning?
After all, this little guy had really piqued his interest when he mentioned Cheng Ye before!
The little guy seemed to be fooled by his troubled look, reached out and touched his face, and said, "But don't worry, Mommy doesn't like Uncle Cheng!"
A little over a month ago, when the father and son asked if Cheng Ye was Zhu Qianying's boyfriend, the little guy's answer was ambiguous, but now, his answer is affirmative.
Yan Shao knew, of course, that Zhu Qianying didn't like Cheng Ye, or rather, even if she did, it wasn't the kind of liking one would have for a lover.
If you ask him why he's so certain, it's his intuition.
Anyway, after several encounters, he could sense that Cheng Ye was probably deeply in love with Zhu Qianying, perhaps even more so than he himself felt for her.
However, Zhu Qianying had absolutely no romantic feelings for him. Anyone with eyes could see that Zhu Qianying was completely open and aboveboard in her words and actions towards Cheng Ye, without giving any hints that would lead to speculation.
Yan Shao didn't know what Cheng Ye was thinking, but if he received such a response from Zhu Qianying, he would probably be extremely disheartened.
However, you have to keep up the act of playing the victim, otherwise, it will be difficult to get this little guy to help you so enthusiastically again in the future.
"Really? How come Daddy didn't notice? Just now at the airport, your mommy was smiling at him so happily!"
Even though he knew that Zhu Qianying didn't have those kinds of feelings for Cheng Ye, Yan Shao still couldn't help but be insanely jealous when he saw her laughing at Cheng Ye without any reservations. Now that he mentioned this to his son, his depressed expression was no longer faked; it was a direct and genuine expression of his feelings.
The little guy stared at Yan Shao with bright, mischievous eyes, his gloating expression making Yan Shao want to spank him a few times to relieve his frustration.
The little guy chuckled for a while before raising his chubby little hand and, looking like a little adult, patting Yan Shao's back to comfort him, "Daddy, don't worry, Mommy never goes on dates with Uncle Cheng alone! No matter where Uncle Cheng invites her, she always brings Zizai along!"
This little third wheel, Zizai, is actually showing off about this now. He doesn't even mention that most of the time he insists on being a third wheel.
At that time, he simply felt that his mother was his woman, and no other man could take her away.
Now, however, his fear of losing his mother has faded considerably when he's with Yan Han.
Or perhaps, more than that, he now longs to be like his older brother Beibei and older sister Guoguo, with loving parents and a happy family of three living together.
Most importantly, Yan Han's recent performance has won over the young master's heart, so the young master's side has unknowingly shifted to Yan Han's side.
After his son's words of comfort, Young Master Yan was indeed much more at ease!
So, she put away her pitiful expression, hugged the little guy, and kissed him a few times.
He truly is my angel!
Over the past five years, Zhu Qianying and Cheng Ye's relationship made no progress, which was probably related to this little guy's intentional or unintentional sabotage between Cheng Ye and Zhu Qianying.
Because, in Zhu Qianying's heart, nothing is more important than the little one!
