Chapter 429. A Happy Family

Zhu Qianying has been living in the apartment for three days now. Every night, Yan Shao picks up Zizai from school and then takes him back home for dinner.

However, he has been very well-behaved these past few days. Every night, after dinner, he would take the mother and son for a walk in the small park in the community, and then escort them upstairs and into their home before leaving.

He had completely lost his previous shameless and persistent attitude, which even Chen Jing found strange, saying, "How come Young Master Yan has suddenly become so gentlemanly?"

Zhu Qianying didn't go back to her mother, but in her heart, she was convinced that Yan Shao was busy dealing with the Yi and Wang families, and even the Zhu and Zhu families.

It was Friday evening, and before leaving, Yan Shao reminded Zhu Qianying.

"You and Zizai can sleep in a little later tomorrow. I'll come pick you up, accompany you to the hospital for your follow-up appointment first, and then go to Qin Xiu's house."

Zhu Qianying's hand was basically fine, but Yan Shao insisted, "You're not a doctor. Whether you say it or not, it's the doctor's word that counts."

"Didn't Dr. Du say that everything is fine now?" Zhu Qianying retorted.

"Take only half of what he says! He's just a traveling doctor!"

Yan Shao seemed to dislike Du Ting quite a bit, probably because Du Ting knew too many of his past stories from his youthful days, and Du Ting was a chatterbox who could easily reveal a lot of his past scandals.

In the past, he didn't care if others heard about his experiences, but since the person in question was Zhu Qianying, he became somewhat bothered.

He especially didn't want Zhu Qianying to hear about some embarrassing things.

"A traveling doctor? I've heard that Dr. Du is a master's graduate from a prestigious medical university!"

Zhu Qianying was so insistent simply because she felt there was no need to go to the hospital.

Hospitals are places that are hard to like. As soon as you step inside, you feel oppressed from head to toe.

She felt it was unnecessary to go, but Yan Shao felt it was essential.

And this time, Zizai actually sided with Yan Shao, insisting that Zhu Qianying go for a second check-up.

Therefore, on Saturday morning, Zhu Qianying was forcibly taken to the hospital where she had been treated.

The doctor who examined Zhu Qianying's wound healing was the same expert as last time.

To be honest, it's a bit of a waste of a specialist's talents to treat someone like Zhu Qianying, whose injuries aren't exactly serious.

However, this patient was specifically assigned to him by the dean, so even though he felt that this young master Yan was wasting human resources, he still obediently gave the patient a thorough and careful examination.

Even though he did his work meticulously, his expression was never very good.

"Young Master Yan, Madam Yan's wound is mostly healed."

Upon hearing the doctor's words, before Yan Shao could even ask any questions, the young master pointed to the scar on Zhu Qianying's hand and said with great concern.

"This scar is so ugly! Doctor, didn't you say I could have surgery?"

The doctor patiently said, "It's alright, it will fade in a few days."

Zhu Qianying has a skin type that doesn't leave scars easily; most scars will fade away quickly.

After the doctor and Zhu Qianying repeatedly assured him that the scar would fade away in a while, the young master finally stopped insisting on having surgery.

However, after tilting his head and thinking for a while, he spoke to the doctor in a serious tone.

"Doctor, could you please prescribe a scar removal cream for my mommy? I'll apply it to her every day."

The doctor, who was already annoyed by the troublesome young master, couldn't help but laugh after hearing what he said.

"Little brother, you even know about scar removal cream! You're so young, but you know quite a lot."

The little guy nodded very seriously, "Yes, I specifically searched for it online!"

The doctor was amused by the little guy again, and his previously unpleasant expression finally brightened.

"Madam Yan, the young master said he wants to get scar removal cream. Do you need it?"

Asking Zhu Qianying's opinion is absolutely unnecessary, because she's afraid of trouble.

But to put her son at ease, she had no choice but to obediently nod.

"Let's do as the little one says, thank you doctor!"

The doctor wrote a prescription, and Yan Shao handed it to the bodyguard behind him to fetch the medicine. He then asked the doctor about the dietary restrictions and precautions he should take afterward.

Even Zhu Qianying, the person involved, felt that Yan Shao and Zizai were quite annoying. So she reached out and tugged at Yan Shao's arm, signaling him to stop nagging.

The doctor had been tormented for almost half an hour and had long since lost his temper. In fact, he had to admit that the father and son were really concerned about the patient.

This family of three must be a very happy family.

With that thought in mind, the doctor's tone became much kinder.

"Judging from Madam Yan's condition, she must have been very careful with her diet before. Otherwise, she wouldn't have recovered so quickly. From now on, she just needs to avoid overly stimulating foods, and there's nothing else to worry about."

Yan Shao and Zizai listened attentively to the doctor's instructions, thanked him, and then said goodbye to the doctor and left the hospital to attend Qin Xiu's housewarming party.

"Before, I only thought you two looked alike. Now I know you're both equally nagging and long-winded!"

Zhu Qianying felt incredibly ashamed of what she did at the hospital today.

Even though the wound on their hands had completely healed, the older child kept asking the doctor what foods they needed to avoid, and the younger child kept asking the doctor how to remove the scar.

If this man weren't someone as prominent as Young Master Yan, the doctor would probably have kicked him out of the consultation room long ago, blacklisted him, and never seen him again!

Despite being scolded for nagging, Zizai wasn't annoyed at all; he just nestled in her arms and giggled foolishly.

Anyway, it's all for Mom's good, so even if I get a little disliked, it's not a big deal.

As for Yan Shao, ever since Zhu Qianying and her son returned, his nagging nature has clung to him like a ghost, refusing to leave.

He interprets nagging as stemming from concern.

If he doesn't care, he won't bother with whoever you are!

"Ying'er, you can nag me a little too, I don't mind!"

In Yan Shao's family, from his grandfather to his father to his mother, everyone is decisive and efficient, and they basically don't have the trait of being talkative.

In the last few years, my mother has completely stepped back from the front lines, or perhaps it's because she's getting old that she's started to become more talkative.

As for his nagging mother, although Yan Shao always said "you're annoying," he was actually quite indulgent towards her.

Otherwise, there wouldn't have been that "good show" of selecting a wife more than five years ago.

If it weren't for that dramatic turn of events, Zhu Qianying would never have become his wife, and the adorable and heartwarming little boy, Zizai, would never have existed.

So, if you really look into it, he seems to have to thank his mother for her nagging more than five years ago!

Zhu Qianying ignored him, rolled her eyes at him, hugged Zizai tightly, and closed her eyes to rest.
