That evening, Yan Shao came to the restaurant again for a free meal. After listening to Zhu Qianying recount the events of the day, he couldn't help but sigh, "Fate is truly a wondrous thing."
After expressing his feelings, he held the bowl and squinted at Zhu Qianying with a probing look, making Zhu Qianying's scalp tingle. She glared at him and asked.
Why are you looking at me like that? Am I a monster?
Yan Shao smiled meaningfully, "Ying'er, do you think we might have met when we were little, or had an unforgettable childhood experience, and then we forgot about that experience?"
Zhu Qianying barely managed to suppress the urge to smash the bowl in her hand over Young Master Yan's head. She rolled her eyes at him and said irritably.
"Young Master Yan, are you insulting your own intelligence, or are you insulting mine?"
Even after being so blatantly despised by Zhu Qianying, Yan Shao still wouldn't give up. "Ying'er, think about it carefully. Perhaps we are actually childhood sweethearts!"
Zhu Qianying ignored him completely and stuffed a piece of meat into her mouth.
"I don't remember ever seeing such a troublesome young master as you when I was a child! If I had known you since I was a child, I wouldn't have gone to participate in this stupid selection competition."
Yan Shao chuckled, "That's right. If we had known each other since we were little, you might have been forcibly taken into our home as a child bride at a very young age. There wouldn't have been any selection competition later on."
Zhu Qianying fell silent, because she had completely realized that ordinary people could no longer stop the young master Yan's wildly imaginative ideas.
Little Zizai, who had eaten early and gone downstairs to help out at the shop, ran back. After hearing the latter part of his father's story, he leaned his upper body on Yan Shao's lap and asked curiously, "Daddy, what does 'child bride' mean?"
Yan Shao smiled and glanced at Zhu Qianying, put down his chopsticks, pinched his cheek and said, "It's about finding a little girl to take home when you're as big as Zizai, and then having her grow up to be Zizai's wife!"
The young master curled his lip. "Tsk, so troublesome, who would want it?"
"Troublesome? That way, you'll have someone to play with! Just like Brother Beibei and Sister Guoguo, you won't be lonely with someone by your side."
Yan Shao was in a great mood and teased him!
The young master shook his head again, and then said in a serious tone.
"Daddy, my older brother and sister are twins, they're different, just like Nannan and Tingting. It's still a lot of fun, but if you bring back a little girl you don't know, it'll be a real nuisance!"
As Zhu Qianying listened to the increasingly absurd and bizarre conversation between the father and son, she was about to speak up to stop them when Yan Shao asked another question.
"Sweetie, tell Daddy, who's bothering you?"
"Besides that Bai Xiaolu, who else is so annoying?"
The young master huffed and puffed, lying face down on Yan Shao's lap, lifting his legs and swinging them around vigorously.
Yan Shao raised his head and looked at Zhu Qianying probingly, "Are those two brats arguing again?"
When Yan Shao returned to the restaurant, Bai Shao and her family of three had already left. They had to go back to pack their luggage and prepare to move over tomorrow, so Yan Shao didn't get to see the two kids' annoying way of getting along.
Zhu Qianying nodded, "Yes, just like yesterday, we started arguing as soon as we met, and we kept arguing until Bai Shao left with Xiao Lu."
Yan Shao glanced down at his son, patted his bottom, and scolded him, "Sweetie, you're a boy, you have to give way to girls, understand?"
The little boy was having a great time, swinging his little legs and hands around, but he was panting as he defended himself.
"Daddy, Bai Xiaolu is definitely not a girl! She's more like a rough guy than me!"
Zhu Qianying had a headache just thinking about it. After Bai Shao's family of three moved to the new house, the two families would definitely see each other often. If that happened, these two little devils would quarrel and make trouble every day. When would it end?
She even pessimistically wondered what would happen if the two little ones got so worked up from arguing that they started fighting.
"Zizai, Xiaolu is straightforward and unpretentious, so how come you're called a rough man?" Zhu Qianying gave a fair and impartial evaluation.
The little guy didn't argue with his mother. He mumbled something and then refused to say anything more.
Yan Shao seemed to see through Zhu Qianying's worries, and comforted her while stroking his son's back.
"You don't need to worry too much. The two kids aren't getting along right now, probably because they're not familiar with each other yet. Once they get to know each other better, their relationship will naturally improve!"
Zizai did not refute Zhu Qianying, but that does not mean he did not refute Yan Shao.
"Who cares if she's on good terms with me!"
Zhu Qianying immediately decided that she would never interfere with these two brats again; let them argue and make a fuss as they pleased.
Sure enough, the next afternoon, Zizai came home from school and saw Bailu at the restaurant. The two of them started arguing again after a disagreement.
At first, the customers in the restaurant just assumed that these two little brats had some deep-seated grudge.
After listening to the two argue for a while, it turned out to be nothing more than harmless bickering. Moreover, both of them were very eloquent and quick-witted. Listening to their bickering was like listening to a debate competition, with one side for the affirmative and the other for the negative. They each held their own opinions, neither willing to concede to the other, but neither able to convince the other. It was quite interesting to listen to.
So the guests actually treated the two children's bickering and arguing as a form of entertainment during the meal, watching and eating, which was quite a delightful experience.
This bickering and arguing went on for two nights. On the third night, the young master Zizai was taken back by Madam Yan, who missed her grandson. The guests who had come to see him felt a little lost, as if something was missing, since they could no longer see the two beautiful children arguing.
Not only were the guests disappointed, but the unsuspecting egrets, seeing that it was almost time for dinner, found that the designated parking space outside the shop remained empty.
She deliberately walked out of the shop and looked back and forth at the egrets several times before finally asking Zhu Qianying a question.
"Aunt Shadow, where is Yan Xu?"
Zhu Qianying and Bai Shao exchanged a smile, then told the truth, "Little Yanxu went to his grandparents' house for dinner today. Xiaolu missed him?"
The little girl flicked her two braids and vehemently denied it.
"Who misses him? It's so much quieter without him around!"
Zhu Qianying looked at the stubborn little girl and smiled, "Yes, Aunt Yingying also feels that it's much quieter without him, so I've told him to stay at his grandfather's house for a while longer and not come back to bother me!"
Hearing her say that, the little girl's face became a little unnatural. She blinked her big eyes a few times and finally couldn't help but speak.
"Aunt Shadow, won't Grandma miss him then?"
Zhu Qianying shook her head, suppressing a laugh, and then said seriously, "No way! Just like Aunt Yingzi, Grandma has long found him annoying, so let him stay there as long as he wants. We don't care about him at all!"
