Chapter 799: The Little Princess

Zhu Qianying and Yan Shao were at a loss for a moment because Xiao Xiao usually wouldn't cry like this. Usually, she would stop crying as soon as they comforted her.

"Little darling, are you feeling unwell?" Zhu Qianying reached out and hugged the little girl.

The little girl cried even more pitifully in her mother's arms.

Yan Shao was both exasperated and heartbroken. After all, his precious child, who was usually easily comforted, was now crying so hard he looked like he couldn't breathe.

Even Yanbo and his wife joined in trying to persuade the little girl, but she just wouldn't stop talking.

"Honey, is it because of the long flight that she's feeling uncomfortable?"

While patting her precious daughter's back, Zhu Qianying asked Yan Shao with concern.

Yan Shao was at a loss. "How about we take her to see a doctor? If it doesn't work out, we can always reschedule for the next flight."

As Yan Shao spoke, he stood up.

Just as I was about to reach out and hug Xiaoxiao, the little girl, who had been wailing loudly, suddenly stopped crying.

Upon closer inspection, Yan Shao noticed that the little girl's mouth was opening and closing as if she were chewing something. He looked at Zhu Qianying with a puzzled expression. Zhu Qianying, who had been anxious just moments before, could no longer hide her smile.

She nodded with her chin at Zizai sitting opposite her. Yan Shao turned his gaze and saw that Zizai had dragged a large baked lobster with cheese in front of him at some point. At this moment, he was wearing gloves and tearing the lobster apart with force.

So, what the little girl was chewing with her mouth open and closed was lobster?

His question was quickly answered.

“Baby, eat slowly… Zizai, tear it into smaller pieces, your sister doesn’t have many teeth and can’t chew it properly.”

Yan Shao let out a sigh of relief, sat down, and took out a tissue to wipe the face of the gluttonous girl, whose face was covered in tears.

With delicious food in her mouth, the little girl didn't care about anything else. She half-closed her eyes, tilted her head back, and let Young Master Yan wipe her face clean.

Yan Shao was both amused and annoyed. As he wiped her face, he couldn't help but pinch her soft little cheek and said through gritted teeth, "You little glutton, you scared us to death!"

He must have been a little too forceful, because the little girl's eyes widened suddenly. She tilted her head back, her red eyes staring at him, her little mouth pursed as she chewed, looking just like a little white rabbit happily munching on a carrot.

Yan Shao, who was almost scared to death, wanted to scold her, but when he met her red eyes, he remembered that he was too careless and did not notice that the little girl was awake and hungry. Come to think of it, it seemed that, in the end, it was still his fault.

After reflecting on his actions, Yan Shao released his grip on her cheek, placed his palm on her still slightly damp face, gently touched it a few times, and then leaned in to tenderly kiss the tip of her red nose.

"Baby, I'm sorry, Daddy was too careless..."

With food in her mouth, all her grievances and dissatisfaction vanished. After being kissed by Young Master Yan, she put her little hands on his neck and rubbed her face against his affectionately.

Zhu Qianying, who had also felt relieved, looked down at the father and daughter's affectionate behavior as if no one else was around, and teased them with a smile.

"Hey, Young Master Yan, I'm getting jealous!"

Yan Shao raised his hand, grabbed the back of Zhu Qianying's head, pulled her down, and kissed her hard on the lips.

Over there, Zizai, the hero who had soothed his little sister, saw his dad, mom, and sister all together and became dissatisfied. He pouted and huffed, "I'm jealous too! Humph!"

Yan Shao had very sharp ears. He let go of his wife and daughter, leaned over, and hugged Zizai's head, showering him with kisses.

Zizai looked disgusted. After being kissed, he pushed his face away. "Tsk tsk, you got my face covered in saliva. How disgusting!"

Yan Shao knew the little guy was just saying one thing and meaning another, so he hugged his head and gave him another big kiss on the forehead before letting go and sitting back down.

After Xiaoxiao's antics, everyone in the restaurant noticed this happy family with excellent genes and looked over with envy. A few of the bolder ones even came over and asked to play with Xiaoxiao.

Xiao Xiao wasn't shy at all. Anyway, with some delicious food to bribe her, she could just smile sweetly at strangers—it was a piece of cake!

What was originally just an ordinary dinner turned into an unusually lively meal because of the little girl. After finishing their meal, they paid the bill and left. Zhu Qianying, holding the little girl, waved goodbye to the other guests.

Why do we seem like celebrities?

Once outside, Zizai drew a precise conclusion.

Young Master Yan patted his head, "Wrong, it's not us, it's Xiao Xiao!"

Zizai then proudly touched his sister's face and said, "Little sister, you're a little star now, are you happy?"

Grandma Yan looked at her two adorable grandsons with a smile and said proudly, "If Zizai and Xiaoxiao become child stars, I guarantee they'll become famous overnight!"

Yan Shao and Zhu Qianying exchanged a glance but remained silent.

What Mrs. Yan didn't know was that not long ago, the head of a well-known domestic children's brand actually came to her door, wanting Zizai and Xiaoxiao to be spokespersons.

However, Yan Shao, who only wanted to live a quiet and happy life, immediately rejected the person in charge.

He reported this to Zhu Qianying afterwards.

Zhu Qianying's thoughts were basically the same as Wei Shao's. Even now, she still felt lingering fear whenever she thought about what happened to Zizai. Therefore, she just wanted her whole family to live their peaceful and quiet life.

Being too flamboyant and high-profile is not a good thing for Zai Zai and Xiao Xiao, who don't yet have the ability to protect themselves.

The couple kept this a secret and never mentioned it, but now that they heard what Old Madam Yan said, they felt a little guilty.

But Zizai, upon hearing his grandmother say that, chimed in.

"Grandma, I don't want to be a child star! My little sister is so pretty, it's not good if too many people like her!"

The little guy spoke very seriously; clearly, he had genuinely considered this issue.

The whole family was amused by the little guy's tone, and Yanbo, the grandfather, couldn't help but want to tease his grandson as well.

"Zizai, are you afraid that too many people will like your sister? What if she starts dating someone later? What will you do then?"

The little guy tilted his head and thought for a moment, then replied to Yanbo in a serious tone.

"That depends on how good he is to his sister. If he's not, I'll break his legs!"

The group couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Zhu Qianying even teased Yan Shao, "Honey, it seems like your job as a father has been stolen by Zizai!"

Yan Shao shrugged, reached out and took Xiao Xiao, lifted her up, and let her ride on his shoulders so she could look around.

Then, he said nonchalantly, "It's okay, anyway, that kid has two legs!"

"Pfft, hahaha!"

Zhu Qianying couldn't stop laughing, but secretly she was worried for her future son-in-law.

It's said that a son-in-law has a hard time getting past his father-in-law, but in their family, it's the father-in-law and brother-in-law who are both on his side, making it doubly difficult.

It seems that unless this future son-in-law is exceptionally capable, he really shouldn't even think about marrying their little princess!
