Chapter 85. Typical Schizophrenia

Early Saturday morning, Zhu Qianying went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for herself, brought it out, and ate it with her mother.

"Mom, why don't you come with me?" Zhu Qianying asked while eating noodles.

Chen Jing hesitated for a moment, then said, "Forget it, you young people are taking wedding photos, why should I interfere?"

Zhu Qianying tried to persuade Chen Jing a few more times, but Chen Jing remained unmoved. Helpless, Zhu Qianying had no choice but to leave by herself with her backpack.

Zhu Qianying walked slowly to the gate. It was almost eight o'clock. Outside, it was quiet and still, not even a fly, let alone a car.

At this moment, Zhu Qianying truly hoped that Young Master Yan would forget about this matter, or that, like last time, something unexpected would happen that would force them to reschedule.

However, the car that appeared in front of her five minutes later dashed her hopes.

The driver got out of the car, seemingly about to walk around and open the door for her.

Zhu Qianying greeted him with a smile, "Good morning, driver," then bent down and opened the back door to get in.

In the back seat sat Young Master Yan, whom she hadn't seen for several days. Zhu Qianying still had a smile on her face. "Young Master Yan, good morning."

Yan Shao nodded slightly, his gaze moving from her face down to her feet. "What shoe size do you wear?"

Zhu Qianying was stunned. Although she didn't understand why he asked, she immediately gave him the answer, "39 yards."

Having received the answer, Yan Shao ignored her and took out his phone to make a call. "She wears size 39 shoes. Have someone prepare them."

Zhu Qianying then realized that she hadn't asked him what preparations she needed to make.

"Young Master Yan, I also have high heels at home. Shall I go back and get them?"

Zhu Qianying is used to wearing running shoes. When she went out, she didn't think much about it and just put on her usual clothes and went out.

Now I realize that these running shoes really don't match my wedding dress.

Yan Shao said calmly, "No need, I've already had it prepared."

If Zhu Qianying hadn't said anything, Yan Shao would have genuinely believed that her family didn't even own a pair of high heels.

It's no wonder that Yan Shao thinks that way. Every time Zhu Qianying sees him, she's either wearing jeans and sneakers or capri pants and flats. Skirts and high heels seem to be completely out of place for her.

The two fell silent, and the atmosphere in the carriage became very strange.

Originally, Zhu Qianying didn't care about this at all, but thinking about how he had resumed normal cooperation with the Xing family, she felt it wouldn't be good to ignore him too much.

So, Zhu Qianying, who had been staring out the window in a daze for a while, turned her gaze back and asked, "Young Master Yan, where should we take our wedding photos?"

That was just making conversation out of nothing.

"You'll know when we get there." Young Master Yan seemed unwilling to say more, holding an iPad and looking at something.

Seeing this, Zhu Qianying didn't say anything more and took out her phone to browse the web.

She discovered that her relationship with Yan Shao was always like this, sometimes good and sometimes bad. Just a few days ago, their relationship had become much more harmonious, but now it seemed to have regressed to the initial stage.

He probably realized that his attentiveness to him those few days was just for Xing Bailun and Qi Xiao, so he just played along.

Now that the game is over, isn't it perfectly normal for everything to go back to square one?

Having figured things out, Zhu Qianying browsed the web without any guilt until the car stopped on a large lawn. Only then did she put her phone away and get out of the car with Yan Shao.

When she got off the bus and looked up, she was really startled.

Isn't the place she's in right now the West Suburbs Horse Ranch where she arranged to go horseback riding with Xing Bailun and the others?

No way? What a coincidence?

"Can you ride a horse?" Yan Shao walked up to her and said the fourth thing he had said to her since they met today.

"I can!" Zhu Qianying not only could, but she rode quite well.

Moreover, she met Xing Bolun back then because of horseback riding.

"I think so too!" Young Master Yan's words seemed a bit abrupt and unrelated.

However, Zhu Qianying was too lazy to delve into the meaning behind his words.

She increasingly realized that Yan Shao was probably a typical case of schizophrenia; his personality and thoughts changed unpredictably, making him difficult to understand.

"Are you taking wedding photos here today?"

At Zhu Qianying's age, she had no experience with her friends' weddings, but in her mind, romantic wedding photos should be taken at the beach or somewhere similar. Wouldn't it seem out of place to take wedding photos at a horse farm where people work up a sweat?

"Um!"

Yan Shao reverted to his usual thrifty nature, simply responding with a faint word and offering no further explanation.

Zhu Qianying wondered if she had offended him again without realizing it, or perhaps his bad temper was like a woman's period, visiting once a month, sometimes regularly, sometimes irregularly.

Whatever the reason, it's always best to avoid provoking him.

The two walked side by side in silence for a while. It was already past nine o'clock, and the number of people at the racecourse was gradually increasing. If Xing Bailun and his group continued on their usual schedule, there was at least a 90% chance of running into them later.

I didn't mean to hurt him, but unintentionally, I still stabbed him in the most hurtful way.

"Young Master Yan, over here, over here!"

Zhu Qianying was still thinking about her own things when she heard shouts coming from afar. She looked in the direction of the sound and saw several people standing in a small pavilion not far away, waving frantically in her direction.

Yan Shao quickened his pace. Zhu Qianying's legs weren't short, but compared to Yan Shao's long legs, the difference was immediately apparent.

Yan Shao walked extremely fast, showing no intention of matching Zhu Qianying's pace. She had to jog to keep up with him. Fortunately, she was used to plenty of exercise, and she arrived at the pavilion without breaking a sweat or getting out of breath.

"Young Master Yan, hello! This must be Miss Zhu, right?"

Zhu Qianying extended her hand to the man with the camera, "Hello, my name is Zhu Qianying!"

"Hello, my name is A-Jian. I'm your wedding photographer."

After introductions, Zhu Qianying was led by the makeup artist to a large RV parked next to the pavilion for makeup and to change into her wedding dress.

After getting into the car, Zhu Qianying saw several wedding dresses and formal wear hanging inside the RV. Two of them looked very familiar; they were the wedding dresses she had tried on in the fitting room at the Yan family's house that day.

"Did Young Master Yan pick out all these wedding dresses?"

The makeup artist and her assistant were surprised. "Miss Zhu, didn't you and Young Master Yan choose these wedding dresses together?"

Zhu Qianying could only say, "I remember two of them, but I've forgotten the others. Anyway, they were all similar styles, so I don't remember them."

The makeup artist smiled and said she understood, "Yes, you made an appointment last time but then changed the date at the last minute. It's been so many days, it's normal to forget."

Zhu Qianying then realized that Yan Shao had indeed made an appointment last time, but had to reschedule because of her father and Zhu Junzhao's commotion!

No wonder he looked so grumpy today. He probably remembered how his father and Zhu Junzhao plotted against him.
